What a nice episode ! Can't wait for part 2 ... and more ! I say that in every Oz or US video but ... Damn ! I'm so jealous of your trails and beautiful wild areas !
I don't know know about the ausie Forester but the American one doesn't have a low range gear box and that's how I have seen people get stuck in sand. Maybe a tune would hel
Lochi How agreed! I was running 15psi for this one, however the entry into the hill had a corner that washed out all the speed, and not to mention it was a very difficult dune! From memory about 160m high and there where no wheel marks at the top so no one had made it recently
@@ignitionoffroad5028 yeah I got invited along on a trip with a mate. Don’t want to push the foz . He has already had to tow me home after working the foz a bit hard in the high country.
cool vid ! did the Tribeca (B9) ever make it to the land down under? i have one here in the States, love it... but there is no aftermarket for it. anything over there for it ?
I have an 09 Tribeca. I have ankoo Anderson Design Fab 2in lift kit. I was going to get a Subie Lift Oz but Matt had to design one from scratch and I had requested it as the new accent was coming out so obviously he was busy with the new car. My IG is @expedition.tribeca
Heaps of people are running that tyre size on foresters. If your on facebook, go check out a group called foztrek and those guys will be able to give you more info
@@MAVORlC lol, Mitre A is not like 4WD Action, Roothy, All for Adventure, 4x4 Adventure Club with a huge production budet plus major sponsors and DVD's sales now is it Mav. I don't think I will ever go big but I'm enjoying what I'm doing and learning a lot along the way. Cape York has crossed my mind but first I need a custom driveline and new monster lift kit, before I even think about any of that haha
Subbed and hit the bell :) I'm driving an engine swapped auto trannie 03 Forester. Wanna have a low gear Forester one day and yours give me ideas. Bunch a ❤️ from 🇳🇴🌨️

Yea, Australia offers some very vast and varying landscapes. Truly an epic place to explore!
Beautiful!! Got room for me and my Crosstrek?
James Meadørs always happy to wheel with any Offroad subies
Like how your snorkel face was turned backwards on purpose as to avoid the dust hetting into your clean air system! 😉👌👍
A.C. S. I looked at the air filter the next morning and almost no dust in it which was perfect!
great camera work and editing mate. Loving these eps!
Very steep hill; maybe some snow chains are useful in such conditions.

gil hamilton I think I could have made it without the weight of the tent and all the camping gear. I think it was just too heavy and got bogged down
i found what worked for me in soft uphill dunes was tyre pressures below 20 psi and a hell of a lot of entry speed

Lochi How yeah I've heard you need to plow through everything at at least 11mph on the old ej20 gearboxes
do you recon an auto would have made it?
Well in this example the white XT was an auto so maybe not? I suppose it really depends more on tyre pressures and diffs
@@ignitionoffroad5028 might just jump in with my mate then
@@v26224 are you heading for a trip out that way? I would still recommend you have a go with your foz

Tribeca did make it to Australia, however was never successful and therefore there is very little aftermarket support.
@@ignitionoffroad5028 man did they screw up with the 06, 07 model B9... no one liked that grill. really put a sour taste in everyone's mouth....
Agreed, probably the ugliest Subaru ever made

Great video and awesome track! What tyre pressures were you running on the last hill?
I was running 15psi
Got any details on that l-series? Has it had an engine swap?
Ethan 92 www.subyclub.com/topic/10526-slightly-modified-l-series-subaru-ruby-scoo/ this is his build thread
Hi mitre, you've used Sarah n tuned vlogs theme tune...
Well there you go! There’s a handful of copyright free music heaps of TH-camr’s use so there is always going to be people using the same music.
Thinking of doing a 2" lift with 215/70/16 AT. Anyone have experience with this similar build and how much of a MPG drop you get?
