I’m a high school student who want to be a chef. One day i’m going to show up in one of Eater videos if this channel still exists then. I promise you guys
Omg I go and eat at this place very often!! What a surprise to see them on TH-cam haha The omakase course is ₩110,000 which is around $100. There are 9 dishes in the “Mitou” course and every single one of them is fantastic. She has such a warm and friendly personality that just makes people want to revisit the restaurant :) Also the course menu changes completely every month so its always exciting to see what she is going to serve that day!
Fellow Korean but in Canada. Kaiseki meals run from the $100s to one really small place (reservation booking waits are brutal) that is about $800 CAD in Toronto. $100 dollars/person is a deal.
Is there a website or at least a Google map link to their restaurant? Searching for "Mitou kaiseki restaurant seoul, south korea" gets me 8 results, one of which is this video and I'm surprised at how difficult it is to find, in English anyway.

I watched this thinking they were a married couple. Nevertheless, it’s obvious just how skilled and passionate they are about their craft. They have a rice polisher in their kitchen FFS! I know first hand just how incredibly tough and draining the restaurant business is. I hope the very best for them.
Its amazing to see the brain power that was required to come up with such dishes/plates to me, this was a show about 2 people who have managed to harness the power of creativity and focused it into something quite similar to art, except its edible. impressive...like truly F-ing impressive!
When are you guys releasing the video with sushi ooshima? Chef told me you guys shot an EP there Very excited to see the Eater twist to a spot I love to visit!
O snaaaaaap im checking this place out sometime this week for damn sure! I live 20mins away frm this place and never even knew it existed til right now
i've seen all kind of things die and eaten, it does not bother me. but for some reason this turtle kind of made me uncomfortable. maybe it's because i didn't realize that turtles were eaten in the first place and are just pets. food looks nice though, keep it up.
Softshell turtles are farmed a lot in asian. There will the wild ones, but they will cost a lot more than these and mostly a lot bigger than these farmed turtles. Well. I tried a lot of animals but I have never tried turtles and will probably not going to eat them for some reasons
charles honein dumb ass. Think before Open ur mouth. Zip off before u pee. Soft shell tutles have been well farmed for a long long time. They are invasive species as well. Twit.
After a 3-weeks' hiatus, the "8 Countries in 6 Weeks" series are back with a salivating episode for you. This week we will taste Sapporo's famous soup curry - a curry soup base cooked with veggie or meat and filled with toppings of your choosing - at Okushiba Shoten. We will also eat the delicious desserts, including the famous Marusei butter sandwich and the fresh strawberry cake, offered at Rokkatei - a popular confectionery in Sapporo that has been around since 1933. of course theres crybabies talking about the turtle. Get out of your Mcdonalds and fried food mindset and maybe you can see that other countries eat different things for their own reasons.
Did you have to play sad music when she was cutting the turtle?

The humility and focus is always what impresses me the most. The food is of course stunning but the people behind it are truly fascinating.
Ahhh, the people are downvoting because of the turtle.
한국에 있는 왠만한 방송이나 유툽채널보다 훨씬 퀄리티 좋고 내용 좋은 영상을 만든다... 정말 좋다. 👍
music, cinematography, the foods its all perfect
2주전에 다녀왔습니다. 절제되고 담백한 맛과 정성이 가득한 보기 드믄 식당입니다. 행복한 시간이기도 했습니다.

Korean is such a beautiful language. Very pleasant to the ears.
HindsightPOV Korean and Japanese sound so good but I love them both equally. Mandarin is also beautiful.

The mellow music really matched the turtle cutting scene

I Dp admire them for some reason
maybe the way they learn and change their knowledge into something special that only known by them?
I am sure other Japanese Kaiseki chefs would be proud of you two for showing the same mindset and focus as they would too. 👍👍

I love this serie that why you get my subscribed
Love the content. (The camera work, though, is too busy: the camera moves too often and fidgets for how close it is to the subject.)
trying to look this place up on google... nothing showing. Anybody have more info?
Nevermind, just saw the replies to the comment below
