A great video, very informative! I'm trying to make a set of pirate style turnover boots, using a moccasin toebox since I lack the tools to do a proper modern boot, but with a more modern outsole. This video is a great reference to know what I need to do to modify the boot into something that will last and be comfortable (like adding a piece of leather covering the stitch on the upper vamp, triple stitching where possible, including both an arch support and a shank, how to make wure the boot is level, etc.) Thanks!

I have Frankenstein feet which would not tolerate the wear of these beautiful boots, but as a craftsman and artificer in my own right, I greatly admire the cobbler's craft and I appreciate these videos! My burning question is answered at 12:15, where all those sharp boot nails go. Great stuff.
