@@jagmannenarbrand8373 What he's saying is that after 1848 the French government added Algeria to the administrative system of "Metropolitan France", Metropolitan France is the term used to describe what was considered to be apart of France proper, and not simply a colonial possession. This was a big deal for the region because of the way the colonial empires managed their colonial possessions through the preferential trade system. The 13 colonies were never awarded any such luxury, It was really the idea of colonial possessions being simply a resource for the home country to exploit that was what lead to the American Revolution. The truth is Algeria was basically Frances replacement for the colonies they had lost after the seven years war, and the decades that followed. They had also helped America obtain their independence which meant that they knew more than anyone the value of keeping their possessions loyal. So that's why instead of being treated like most other colonies at the time Algeria was actually just considered a French province, so that the French settlers there had the same rights, and access to trade as the rest of mainland France, and in turn would be more loyal. This doesn't mean that the native majority Algerians would have been treated any better than any other of the native peoples who had been conquered by the colonial powers, just that they treated their settlers in that specific territory better than most other settlers would have been treated by their colonial overlords.

I thought this was reserved for Germany... We have a thing called "Reichsbürger" which in translation means "Citizen of the Empire." Now, there are different types of Empires that they refer to but basically, what they all agree on is that the Federal Republic of Germany doesn't exist. They claim that Germany never gained it's independence after WW2 and that it's basically an occupational zone/puppet state of the USA. And since they obviously want their piece of land to not be ruled by a foreign nation, they reject the current (fake) state and reject the foreign occupiers by sort of pledging their loyalty to the German Empire founded in 1871 by Bismarck as the true independent state of German Peoples. Some may refer to other empires/forms of state but that's roughly the situation. Some of em actually have their own passports and one crazy fucker actually claims to be ruler of this empire and lives in an appartment decked out in all sorts of old german empire memorabilia. Then I get the notification of this video. Jesus help me. Edit: Does this mean you have to re-do your USSR leader tier list video? Also, some actually refer to the Weimar Republic which was the German State after WW1.
I'm actually laughing and interested in this topic about these kind of people. I bet some of the Germans and North Italians still thinks that they are citizens of Holy Roman Empire.

How dare those god damn Turks come to İstanbul and question me in my own capital? I told them how they are wrong and they can't do anything to me because i have the orders of the Sultan to kill the infidels and presented the cops with the sultan's decleration of killings of infidels which i bought online. They were speechless! Also i heard same thing was happening in Russian Empire. Russian Empire was being invaded by Soviet Union for some time and now it's being invaded by Russian Republic. Stay strong friends! We will win!
In Germany we have a similar thing with people called "Reichsbürger" (Citizens of the Reich), who believe that the Federal Republic of Germany is not a real country and actually a corporation controlled by the US government and we are still the occupied "German Reich". There's a whole lot of weirdos in germany sitting in their basements forming "exile governments" and calling themselves "Emperor of the German Reich", "Chancellor of the German Reich", "Provisional Government of the German Reich" or stuff like that...they are very often leaning towards facism or very far to the right of the political spectrum. Usually they get busted because they refuse to pay taxes or start printing their own money, but over the last few years there have been a few cases of them getting into shootouts with the cops.
They are not leaming to fascism or far right, not at all... Actually I have experienced that they seem to be more to the left-wing - if anything at all. I have researched about them some while back and watched interviews/speeches of them. Those "Reichsbürger" also constantly attack nazis and fascism in their speeches and claim that this world would be controlled by the same group of people who already brought up the nazis in the 30s etc. ... Mainstream media simply is trying to potray them as right wing because they have "Reich" in their name and because they refer to 1937 borders (+ they want to make them look bad I guess lol)... They are against strict laws and constantly demand freedom for every human being + they constantly do thank the Soviets for having "smashed the nazis". For me it simply seemed as if they care about the actual legal status of this world/Germany - which they think is different than as its being potrayed as nowadays. Also they constantly wear those orange-black striped Russian/Soviet ww2 rememberance armbands. They also demand that the police forces should be disbanded and they say that police forces with their current powers actually shouldn't exist at all - or at least not in its current form. Dosen't sound very right wing to me... So I guess that you simply don't know much about them because you haven't done your own research but simply trusted some certain medias who seem to try to abuse the "Reichsbürger" movement for their political warfare against right-wingers. So you fell for that it seems like. Please try to do your own research on certain topics before talking about them especially when they are as complex such as this "Reichsbürger" topic.
Btw: They also claim that the DDR/GDR has been *illegaly annexed* by the West German State. And they complain about that. This also does not sound very right-wing to me... complaining about the annexation of a (basically) communist state which has been dominated by the Soviets. Or maybe those people who claim thar are a different branch of them.
@@whynotstayhonest4706 There's no single group who dictates their belief system, there's literally hundreds of them all over germany. I interviewed hundreds of them for ZDF documentaries and did about 100 presentations on them for the GWUP all over Germany, Austria and Switzerland at conventions and schools. 7/10 of them deny the holocaust 5 minutes into the interview or are on about how the germanic race is the root of all pure superiority and therefore their government is the one true government.

There are sovereign citizens movements in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Germany, Austria, Italy, Russia, France and Belgium. In fact, on the day I'm writing this, 25 people were arrested in Germany for being part of such a movement and planning a terrorist attack to overthrow the government. They believe that the German Empire still exist and that the current German government is an occupation by the allied powers.
Wait a minute, wasn't the German Empire overthrown by the republican revolution before Germany agreed to the armistice of 11/11/1918? How can it be an occupation regime if the Allies didn't install the Weimar Republic?

Actually, the idea of having a national passport (not the one for travelling abroad), is a very exotic idea to most westerners. In Europe and the US, people have ONE passport, and we use it mainly for travels abroad. For domestic IDs, we use either driver's license, national ID-cards or even bank cards with photo (Norway). People using passports as a domestic ID, do it mainly because they lack the other ones. A passport is so huge and impractical compared to a credit card sized ID, I can't imagine being obliged to carry the passport with you all the time. Must be why man-purses are so popular in Russia. @@lrg_gaming3600 I know this is a joke and I'm ruining the joke, but actually it does, even by the definition most of these conspiracy theorists use. In the 1783 Treaty of Paris, Great Britain recognized the independence of the United States and officially set its borders. Representatives of Britain, appointed by the King, negotiated with representatives appointed by the Continental Congress, to make the Continental Congress the legal independent government of the new country, the USA. Of course European occupation of the Americas may have been illegal, because of the lopsided and forced treaties with the Natives, but there was no British or Powhatan law in 1607 making contracts signed under duress illegal. The first British Court case establishing unconscionability in contract law wasn't until 1663, and Native Americans never had the full rights or protections of British citizens anyway. The British government of the 13 colonies officially surrendered de jure authority to the revolutionary leadership and the 2nd Continental Congress, therefore they came to govern a country known as the United States. There are some arguments to be made about how the Constitutional Convention was called under the Articles of Confederation, and I don't know enough to dispute them, but I can at least get as far as saying the United States exists. Regardless of what Constitution it exists under.

Now, there are different types of Empires that they refer to but basically, what they all agree on is that the Federal Republic of Germany doesn't exist.

Well, I guess I'm a citizen of the 13 colonies
sgt Hale107 that’s actually a thing. Look up sovereign citizens. They think the articles of confederation are still a thing
NCR Master Race I’m pretty sure when he said 13 colonies he meant the 13 original colonies not the Confederate States.
@@FirstLast-cg9ic The Articles of Confederation were used before the Constitution. It was way before the Civil War.

1991: USSR falls apart
russians in 2019: wait thats illegal
Their are many people in Armenia, including my grandma, who think the Soviet Union still exists
My friend from South Africa tells me that a lot of people over there still believe the USSR exists
@@GY-bd9bo but south africa was never in the ussr
@@regthegg2292 the dissolution of the soviet union happened at the same time as the first election where black people could vote, and so the news of the collapse never really made it into south africa
And they have the right to say so because the USSR was dissolved illegaly
Yea it's just cringe
this is the most hilarious video I have watched in this channel yet 😂🤣
I mean Gorbachev still alive, he is technically the true president of modern CCCP
Gorbachev is younger than my great grandfather what the hell
No he isn't. He actually resigned 1 day before the USSR fell, so he gave up his presidential status. I see what you wanna say, but no, he resigned.
@@alinek2289 it was dissolved one day after his resignation, but it fell much earlier than that

I’ve seen that one!
Do you guys know when you've been going through a super stressful few months but you can't express your emotions properly because you have stuff to deal with so you just bottle up and move on, but then you see something extremely absurd and start crying for no good reason?
this whole video is doing it for me.

Wait,
Yugoslavia doesn't exist anymore?!
wait, South Sudan is a country?!?
Hold up, Ghana exists?
@@lrg_gaming3600 According to Wikipedia, the current Constitution of Ghana is from 1992, which is after the USSR fell. That means it's illegitimate according to these conspiracy theories. So, you get to choose between Communism and Right-wing military dictatorship. Just pick which pre-1992 government you prefer, I guess.
@@mrubuntuking5257 What? Did you say America exists?
I'm not American, I'm a proud British colony citizen in North America
