Just waiting for my CE to come in tomorrow. Loved Danganronpa and actually finished the first in two days, which says a lot as I have a kid. Rare that I can fully enjoy a game in one or two sittings.
This may be my sleeper game of the year. I’m waiting for my copy from Play Asia - so I unfortunately haven’t played it. But I love the art palette and character designs. As always, great review! Glad I discovered your channel in the past year. Keep it up!
like really small thing but I really enjoy how those portraits near dialogue box are actually shots from the game. Or atleast at some point usually at end of sentence the character actually displays that goofy face. In many anime visual novels those portraists are totally different than what happens in the game with the characters. So I like it that there is actually some effort put into this and they dont make weird faces just for the hell of it. Really grounds me to the game somehow.
I think the bigger reason why this game isn't talked about more is that it wasn't advertised that much and is a Switch exclusive for the time being. I've had an eye on it once it was announced, but I can't play it at the moment, so I'm really hoping it gets ported down the line. I own the entire Danganronpa series on my PS4 (including the castle underrated Ultra Despair Girls) so this isn't just a diss on this new title, I really want to play this spiritual (hah!) successor!
Beat this game a few hours ago. I didn't know about the game before seeing at the stores, so I picked it up with knowing nothing. ..This game is masterpiece. I don't how they did it, but somehow a game I knew nothing about and bought it blindly became 10/10 game. The story, characters, puzzles, and gameplay are perfect.
I love this game!! I haven’t finished quite yet but it’s super underrated! I bought it on release but kept putting it off for some reason and I totally regret it now. It’s been a lot of fun. It’s funny, it’s self aware and it’s entertaining as hell. It’s just a great gaming experience.

I'm a huge fan of Danganronpa and I was going to get this day one...but then I got hesitant because I SUCK at puzzle games so I ended up delaying buying it... I think I'm going to get it now. The internet can always get me out of any sticky situation!
I just finished Danganronpa 1 (which i had on my backlog for over a year) and im downloading 2 right now. So im definitely going to pick up Raincoat tomorrow ^^

Playing it right now. I am a big Spike Chunsoft fan, Ultra Despair Girls being, in terms of story and writing, probably my fav game on ps4/Vita. Danganronpa, especially the tropical 2nd chapter, Zenki Zero.. AI the omnium files.. I mean everything they do is so remarkable, adult and thought provoking! After all they are the ones that invented visual novels back in the day.
Definitely getting this at some point, really enjoyed the Danganronpa games when I played them all in 2019. Too many games to play now including a big backlog but once this goes on sale and I have time, excited to check it out
I've preordered the collector's edition and have yet to receive my copy from Amazon. I'm not really into this type of genre, but every new game I've tried in the past year (Persona, The Legend of Heroes) I absolutely loved! I had a gut feeling when I first saw the trailer to this, I might actually like it. The previews/reviews I've been seeing also helps! Can't wait to get started... whenever it arrives. :/
I’m looking forward to playing rain code but they delayed limited edition by 2 weeks. I think mines is coming tomorrow but we’ll see, great video by the way as always.
I finished Rain Code about a week ago and absolutely loved it. I’ve been a fan of Danganronpa since the first game got localized on the Vita, so it’s no small thing when I say that I think Rain Code may actually be better than Danganronpa, and when it gets a sequel, that’s probably going to bring it up even higher in my eyes. Each of the cases are more disconnected than the chapters of the Danganronpa games - closer to Ace Attorney in that way, but also like Ace Attorney, there’s a connecting through line that leads to a massive and satisfying payoff in the final chapter. And what a final chapter it is, that ending was incredible! Like I said, completely loved Rain Code, and I’m incredibly hyped to see a likely sequel at some point.
It looks cool and I love Danganronpa, but I really wish it was on more than the switch. I would rather play it on the Deck, and I really don't trust Nintendo to keep maintaining the switch eshop for too long.
