      @@david7101 Nexbelt is the company. The model is the Supreme... something something lol. I like it a lot. Mainly for the small "buckle". it allows me to throw on multiple items without running out of real estate. Buckle is small enough to slip through belt loops with no issue too. We have some coming to our shop soon. Will have our logo etched in it. I highly recommend any good ratchet belt. There are a few companies that sell them. This is my favorite so far.

      @EliteYouChannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you! Those were fun videos. He's very good at what he does. I am just learning the youtube thing. Will take some time to get anywhere near as entertaining as him.
      As far as the BJJ videos, I have some very specific concept videos coming. Things that I feel most miss while training. I try to stay out of the BJJ only kind of instructional. My instructor has plenty of solid videos and there are much better grapplers out there that devote their lives to making good content. Saying all of that, if i get enough interest I will make more videos on the topic.

    • @anthonyvincent397
      @anthonyvincent397 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EliteYouChannel The information you have is solid. Cool, can't wait for your specific concept videos. You said in the video with Icy Mike, that everyone's doing the shrimp wrong... but never went into detail. This left a big ? in my mind😄 I just started as a GJJ Instructor in Germany. And teaching the 36 combatives from the Gracies. But I'm just at Blue Belt Level, so I wondered if I'm teaching my Students to shrimp the correct way. Another thing is, we are not allowed to carry guns over here, thus my interest in the knife and grappling techniques. I hope your Chanel will grow quick Michael. Thanks for taking your time to answer. I will be sharing your content.
      And be ordering a MDV PLUS. Great designed Knife.
      Much respect

    • @EliteYouChannel
      @EliteYouChannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@anthonyvincent397 I have a video of my instructor talking about it at a seminar. It makes sense when you hear it and then you realize how much wasted movement is placed in drills passed down from instructor to instructor. A lot of times with no updating or refinement. So many things taught in "systems" fall under this trap. They are packaged principles, techniques, lessons learned designed to accomplish a goal that the main art itself is falling short on. Unfortunately, even if it accomplishes that set goal, the system will ultimately be the cause of the most frustration for students of it.
      Its a little different but when I was learning BJJ, I was told to never turn my back. This was a broad statement and even though it may have helped me initially, that directive caused me to lose to people that turned their back on me. They cautiously explored those areas and developed skills that I lacked because someone set a rule that was never lifted. Not being taught or rolling with lower body submissions is another example of this.
      You should always approach things cautiously. Learn why people are hesitant in those areas. But you have to spend the time to truly understand every aspect of an art you wish to be an expert in. Many things are shown to people, they aren't taught. Which means the student will have a very hard time deeply studying the art.
      That was a lot. Sorry if that was all over the place.....

      @anthonyvincent397 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EliteYouChannel Thanks Mike, for taking all the time to answer and explain. Yes, it takes time to truly understand. Am practicing BJJ for arround 4 years now, and I feel there is so much to learn, and I'm just at the start. And that at age 44😅 So I try to get things right from the start. Is there anyway I can get acces to the instructionals of your master? I
      realy liked the knife grappling aspect you showed last time.
      Great work Mike🙏🏼

    This knife looks very similar to the bone tactical handmade edc cank

    • @EliteYouChannel
      @EliteYouChannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Both of them have drop point recurve edges. The cank is nice custom knife. Lots of differences in design though. The more notable ones is the MDv is a chisel grind and doesn’t have choil. Sheath is customized to be carried in multiple ways. Almost as much thought went into the sheath design/purpose as the blade. It’s unfortunate that most blades have a generic style sheath. Meaning no real thought goes into it outside of “carry it on your belt or around your neck”

  • @prestonbrown5771
    @prestonbrown5771 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Mike can i use the lanyard method in the pocket I know the Rhino will work on its own in the pocket I really like the non lethal impact /pain compliance of the Rhino sheath well done salute to you

    • @EliteYouChannel
      @EliteYouChannel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you can use a lanyard for a pocket carry. My only comment will be that you should keep in mind that any lanyard will secure the sheath to your body. That means you will not be able to pull it out with the sheath on for non lethal reasons or to prep for a situation by having the blade in hand without the edge being exposed. One of the features of the design but the lanyard will take that one away. Its more secure but it limits the uses of the tool.

    • @EliteYouChannel
      @EliteYouChannel  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They don’t any more. They used to. Then people who don’t train complained that they didn’t need them. Until they cut themselves doing anything near realistic with the blade. lol. Even professionals use trainers to make sure movement is near perfect before using the real thing.
      Can’t make everyone happy. 🤷‍♂️
      Skallwaytactical.com is sold out of trainers at the moment. They are in production.

    When I try to wear it like that the handle sticks out at 45 degrees and makes a huge imprint???

    • @EliteYouChannel
      @EliteYouChannel  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There’s a number of factors that can cause that.
      Do you have a good “gun” belt? Is it tightened? Are your pants fitted properly? Is your shirt too tight? …..This isn’t meant to insult anyone, but Is your stomach forcing the handle out?
      I show multiple ways to carry the blade. You might need to use a different option. You can pocket carry, lanyard carry, outside the waistband carry, behind the belt carry. Some may find that one carry option isn’t for them. I outside the waistband or pocket carry 99% of the time.
      If you want me to trouble shoot the issue, send me an email with pictures to support@eliteyou.com

      Hey, Nick! Thank you for the support. The belt is from a company called Nexbelt. I really like this small buckle design. We are getting some custom engraved for the Elite You shop. Check them out. They have a number of variations on the ratchet gun belt system.

      @EliteYouChannel  18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The Nexbelt model I use now can be bought on amazon at the following link: www.amazon.com/Nexbelt-PCS9121-NTAC-45-1-75-Belt/dp/B0BT73H75R/ref=sr_1_66?crid=36IO9QFV02238&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.kqJdxleifk8WM4cMqTY-lTRgpb_bPtJJfjmFBUld5Uzs0MIxGsC1Fs4ocbiLYnUUX2-WdobophoLdK_uCU6rDdtbQjG0N_gJY-5K-M-Ae_P_7ycE-eSrSet8DsywzM9mZ6h9JNnVRneMoVWwRqrBSPg9V0AaF16NkCl2orVyL5v_bX4LS6F1c6NiRAkJ7Zbw.DkBb8ysAbp6pPTU1OF7QT74iNTOBe8GLBc0jdhD9Cl8&dib_tag=se&keywords=nexbelt&qid=1723178543&sprefix=nexbelt+%2Cstripbooks%2C149&sr=8-66
      I like this model better because the buckle is so small that it can be pushed through normal belt loops if you need more real estate in front of you. The other buckle was larger and you would have to take the belt off if you needed to bypass a belt loop. I find this necessary when I carry a pistol with a horizontal extra magazine, or when I carry a pistol with my MDV in the front. I made it work in this video but the new belt model makes it a much better setup due to there being no extra bulk from the buckle. Hope that helps.

    • @EliteYouChannel

      This is a weird comment. The only time you could possibly lose the sheath is if you used it in a real situation. In which case you wouldn’t care…. No one complains about losing the sheath and having to buy another one. It’s dropping the sheath on deployment…. This would only happen if you were using it for it’s intended purpose which is to protect yourself or someone you care about. Outside of that, it’s user error.

      Why is the hook a deal breaker? It locks the hand in place, even without added grip tape. In combination with the rhino sheath you can put that thing behind your belt or belt loop and rest the hook on the belt/ belt buckle or pants and carry the blade without ulticlips, tek loks or added loops.
