+K Bhpian 1. TDI DSG is reliable... If the car is maintained & handled properly, there wouldn't be any problem 95% of the time... But repair charges for DSG is high... But few of my friends are using DSG and they haven't faced any issues... 2. Both Scross and Vento are good choice... Buy it based upon your requirements and needs... 3. VW diesel doesn't have a silent cabin even when it is new... There is a little engine noise which creeps into the cabin... Sound will not increase after 4-5 years...

good I like Hyundai’s button and reverse, next vw press down to reverse. Ford ikon 1.8 d I had damn thing always slotted into reverse instead of first gear , horrible in horrible central deeli conditions. Nice vid.

+mohd ali when you pull the gear lever from fifth, it engages to sixth gear only. You cannot accidentally shift to reverse... For engaging reverse gear, you have to move the gear knob fully towards right & pull it backward
Is there a speed limit in reverse gear? I remember that polo will automatically close the air dampers when reverse gear engaged, but many times we used to drive behind heavy truck and it’s exhaust easily gets in to our car if dampers open, is there some solution for that?
+Neel There is no speed limit in reverse gear... Yes, when reverse gear is engaged, air dampers automatically close in Polo. The only solution to your problem is to keep the air dampers closed when driving behind heavy trucks & polluted area... But do remember to open the air dampers once in a while to allow fresh air into the car...
+Harish kanna you have to switch on the headlights and then pull the knob once to switch ON the front fog lamps. Pull the knob twice to Switch ON the rear fog lamp. I have shown this in my video - Exterior lights / Interior lights in Volkswagen Polo.

and my manoos, (bad luck) ford ikon 1.8 d was always parked, reason, horrible traffic and parking issues in c deeli, it becomes even more hard to slot in right gear when I dint drive very often at all. ( which I hated, hate). present, future small is big.. on saving,comfort, security... hatchbacks rule...motorways will get cramped. let’s not encourage gas guzzlers. Jai hind.
It's pretty straightforward - 1st gear is always the gear to start in; 6th (or 5th, if it's a 5-speed) is the gear you'd use at motorway/highway speeds for better fuel economy. You won't always use the topmost forward gear in every situation (residential roads for example, you'd probably at best use 3rd, maybe 4th depending on road speed), but for taking off from a stop, 1st gear is the defacto gear. Note that on just about every modern car with a manual transmission made within the last thirty years, if the vehicle is rolling forward, it is impossible to engage Reverse "by accident". Be it the pull-up-to-engage or push-down-to-engage, or even just going to the lower right of 5th gear, these gearboxes simply will not allow it to happen.

For engaging reverse gear, you have to move the gear knob fully towards right & pull it backward
