Congrats on graduating! I had to withdraw from the program in the middle of the second semester due to family issues, and hoping to start again sometime next year. The good news is I got busy building my shop and finished it enough to be useful. All it needs now is plumbing for a wash basin and an outside hydrant for fire insurance, then I'll be ready to apply for my type 7 FFL. Since I'll be the only gunsmith in town people are already starting to gift me things that I can use, and since muzzle loaders are not considered a firearm under the ATF I can already start working on those.
Hey brother thank you so much for the reviews for SDI, I just did my Pelgrant stuff and applied to sdi for the 2 year as well. Your videos really did help and I'm super excited to start around the 18th of September. Out of the recommend tools that they didn't provide, what has been some of the tool you had to get? And what would you recommend getting from the recommend tools and anything you picked up your self that wasn't recommend. And what would recommend getting asap before starting.
Thank you! I am glad my videos have helped! Some of the materials I have had to get was a lot of sand paper, a couple of drill bits, and steel wool. I would recommend getting a workbench for your projects and stuff. Harbor freight has a good one for like $100 and comes with a light!
@charliecooper4272 thank you for the feed back, I found the articles from KIP at the back end of the news with a good list of need tools and started pricing out some of the more expensive items on his list. I have work bench thay I was able to build with my dad back in 2020 sturdy a Boulder. The one thing I'm planning on getting is some peg boards for the wall.
Thank you! Other than the tools they had sent, I didn't really need much. I did had to buy a few things for some of the projects. I ended up purchasing some more drill bits as well as a ton of sand paper.
Congrats, Charlie! I'm 4 weeks behind you.
Awesome! I hope you are having fun!
