I'm having a lot of trouble with the ftt 100 and BBs 100I noticed that a lot of the time they don't post specifically what books they want you to read any advice on this
Over the 27 years, took my share of courses. I took my Gunsmithing course through Penn Foster, it wasn't bad but it's home study. The only way I could do it and work the hours I was working. I did the same with the HVAC and industrial electrical fields. I'm licensed HVAC/R and have a Universal license. Over the years courses on everything from: Trane/York cooling systems Electrical motor/PLC/wiring through Llewyn, Inc Xetron Security with installing/maintaining card reader, security systems Ohio Peace Officer training course and a lot more Bullsh@t, that no one would care to know about. But no one wants to hire a disabled old man for his knowledge. Life is about living and learning.
Very True Gary. I am not exactly old but am not a spring chicken. I'll be 45 here shortly. I am all but disabled and can barely walk most days. I have an associates in web design and app dev with a minor in networking and no one will talk to me due to disability. Also, SDI has a bad rap and people say stupid stuff about "SDI Gunsmiths" and I just did a video on that very subject. I am all but done with the SDI associates program and holy bananas are the comments flying around me daily in life, yet every dang one of them ask me to work on their guns. Funny how that works right? Take care! And keep on learning,. We are never told old to learn. My grandpa used to say the day he stopped learning was the day he got carried out in a body bag.
i passed your farm yesterday. i live in eagle landing in walking distance from your farm.. u saw the bees and just to make sure i was right i pulled up the vid of the flood.. cool to live you close to tou
I'm getting ready to start SDI's Associate Of Firearms Technology on August 26th. Do you have any advice for things I can do prior to startup? Also do you start with the English Math etc. or do you start right into the Firearms courses?
I just audited a few classes for them and did not earn a degree or certificate. I like them though and they are good people. My only advice is budget some time and keep up because they follow the schedule strictly:) or they use to anyway. Good luck and let me know what you think of it.
Thank you. That is good to know. When I built my 67 caliber rifle it took me a long time to figure out some aspects of the design.
It's a good course. A little pricey but a good course :)

What tools do you need to start?
They sent a tools as a part of the course kit. I am not sure if they do this with all courses but they should list what comes with each course.
