- The opportunity arrives for me to test drive the new Porsche 911 GT3, of course a future car to join my garage! I've been keenly awaiting the chance I'd be able to go for my first drive in the car that I've ordered bound and this is it! The car did not disappoint by any means, just listen to the noise of the flat 6 as it screams up to 9,000rpm. If I didn't have one on order, I'd have been doing everything I could to get one now! Bring on the future Shmeemobile GT3!

Full IPE system when yours arrives please!!
As brilliant as the PDK and it is one of the best double clutch gearboxes made, you've goto have a manual!
So much more involving and better resale wise.
If anyone is buying the PDK version because it's faster to 60 and around a track then you've brought the wrong car, the GT3 is a drivers car, a car you wake up at 6am on a Sunday morning take it out to some country roads and open up the taps!
Enjoy the passion of driving working to get the power by using the three peddles, rev match on up changes to assist it to slot into gear heal and toe on the downshift none of this auto rev matching system! Enjoy the fact your in control of the car and it's you not the electronics that is controlling what the car does and love driving exploring.
That's just my opinion though !

First thing Shmee said the color will be custom through PTS. & the car will be LHD since Shmee moved to Germany.

Great video Tim. In my opinion you shouldn't get the lift system (although by now its too late to change that) since you mentioned that you want to focus on the specific task that the GT3 serves, which is take it to the track and have a blast with it. The lift system will add unnecessary weight. Also, I would get the PCCB and right away replace them with steel rotors, in that way when the time comes to sell you put the carbons back on and your resale value will be much better. Either way, no matter what's the configuration, the car is a blast to drive.
I do not want to set ultrafast lap times but have fun on track.

I'm really happy that you are getting porsche again. It's going to be truly awesome to see this gt3 in your garage. I personally consider mclaren and porsche best car- makers in the wolrd, this video just proves it.

I love all Porsche models, their PDK gears are the best in any supercar at present. I wonder why you’d be too concerned with the views of anyone behind you in a GT3. Question GT3 or GT2 which version would you recommend?
lovely car Mr Shmee, however, when you come to acronyms, could you please define what they mean, NOT everyone who watches your channel is a car nut, for instance, when you were talking about the gt 3`s headlights, you stated they were P.D.L.S headlights, now, i "think" that probaly means PORSCHE DYNAMIC LIGHTING SYSTEM ? but i may be wrong, and as i have already stated, "not everybody" who watches your great channels, will know what this means..... ask your mum and dad ect, unless they are car nuts, i doubt if they will know, its the SIMPLICITY in your videos which makes them so viewable, so please Mr Shmeee, please rectify this minor issue, ps, great car,great choice.....

im a big fan of the GT series from porsche they feel SO SO right, i mean hell, even the GT4 was immense that one was only let down by the engine that imo at least wasn't worthy of a GT product, it needed around 415hp and that would have been something, drove one at length and really wasnt blown away by the motor, everything else was cool however, the gt3 though???? well...... i wish!!

Should the "Success Gods" decide to smile upon me, and I ever become "fortunate", there's room in my life for a more road-tuned version of one of these (No weekend cup jaunts on a closed circuit...Instead, I'd like to do what the Great Bruce McLaren did whenever he had the time - Namely, take a sports car, and just drive it over the local paved highland roads at a reasonably fast, but not dangerous speed with the windows down...), although my colour choice would be a customized purple... For quite a few dollars more, no doubt! - Nuff said - I'm drooling! Best of luck on your new car!

The first thing I did after watching this video was to go on the Porsche website and try and guess the colour of Tim's inbound GT3. I'm going with Racing Yellow in a nod towards RUF's Yellow Bird.

just a suggestion, I think you need to get the GoPro 5 Hero black- 4k. the ones you using are ruining the hard work and humongous effort. LIKE IF YOU AGREE
All depends on the final edit and what I put out in the render. And since I am not filming 4K, it is not really necessary.
It gets me down a little that it does 0-62mph in 3.4 secs topping out at 197mph (via PDK) but is described as being not that fast....:(

Thanks for posting this video, Shmee. My soon to be received GT3 arrived at the port in Davisville Rhode Island (USA) last Friday and I expect (HOPE) to take delivery by this time next week. I put my name on the list for this car 2 years ago and I'm so looking forward to getting it home in my garage. So, I can completely identify with your excitement about your soon to be received GT3. For the ones who comment on this comment with what a stupid comment and don’t get offended, I don’t really and won’t say it, but for the ones who are considarate (intentional or not, which I think Schmee is) a thank you is in it’s place, I think. It means alot and I think it’s nice to hear that on something you do, with a reason, to receive some gratitude for. Especially if it’s a bit weird nowadays to not do it.

Great option choices. PDK is by far the best transmission in any car. I have ceramics on my GT3 RS and like them, but I don’t track the car that much. With you living in Germany and going to the Nurburgring, first of all, I am envious. Secondly, good choice. Keep up the great work.

I enjoyed learning the technical specifics of the GT3. I could tell there is even excitement to hear the exhaust. Its fast, we know....,its takes on the curves, we know...., but the speed at which it is capable is over the top and not many other hi-performance cars have this speed control and agility. All other specifications heighten our senses but the power and capabilties on the road remains for of us to experience of what this porsche is about.
Have you considered purchasing your own multi-story parking lot? You'll need it! Plus see if you can get an ED-209 to protect it... that would be awesome!!!!!

Do all Germans drive like that Mercedes estate. Here in America no regular driver has any idea how to go around corners. If an average American drove that road they would do 5-15 miles per hour the entire way.

Hi Tim. Love your videos! I have a 2007 GT3RS, which I love as well as a 2018 718 Cayman S. Today I heard about the 718 Boxster Spyder, and put my name on the list. It has a GT3 engine! Don’t know specs yet, but should be cool. I don’t have your cash, but both cars should be amazing.
