- In this video I look at the new TP-Link Tapo C200 Pan and tilt wifi camera. No hubs or extra devices are needed you put it on your home wifi via the Tapo mobile app and then you can view the camera from your phone. It has 360 degree horizontal and 114 degree vertical pan and tilt and 1080p resolution. It also has night mode.
With the app you can view the camera real time and setup motion detection and notification. It also ha sound and light alarms on the camera so you could frighten someone away. There is also two-way audio so you can talk to the person on camera and you can hear them. It has a microSD card slot for storing video clips and works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
You can wall or celling mount it with the supplied kit

It has a microphone of a horrible quality. Do you know perhaps any other camera like that in similar price range but with better mic?

Is it posible to access from computer/windows PC ?
That's the problem with this kind of camera when you go out with your camera it stops working. If it works on PC, that would mean you can still operate the camera.

Very difficult to setup, doesn't work with 5ghz wifi. Kasa needs a better setup option.

Hi, thanks for the video, I bought one of these cameras recently and it worked a treat for a few hours. After this the app now says network unstable and unable to use remotely? My network is good everything else seems alright and I’m still having issues? Tried all the obvious stuff like the hard reset etc

I have bought a SanDisk 128g sd card but when I insert it I get the voice telling me there is a problem with the sd card. Apperantly it can't format it. Any suggestions please.

why the heck would one need a passport for something that is supposed to be located on your local network only
as with many smarthome systems it is cloud based so no direct connection
Thank for the review. What happens if the internet connection is lost or if electricity is down for a moment? Will it reconnect automatically, or is it necessary to set up the connection again?

@@tianweitan1630 I did not receive any answer yet, but I tested it myself. The camera will connect automatically after loss of internet connection or power supply. Even after several weeks, it works really well

My question is whether you can connect it to puplic/username/password wifi - I am in university halls and we have a username and password for each room, ended up buying an imou camera to find out tht tyou cannot connect it to anything that requires a username. Any idea whether this one allows you to connect?

Recently I have purchased C200. I have activated cams with wifi , after I left my home I can't see cam in the application . Once I reach home and connect to wifi I am able to view cam once again. Is there settings I am missing or do I need to connect to internet provided to change ip address.
I am looking for a camera to monitor my apartment door so i will place it on the ceiling or on the wall. The problem is i will need a long electricity cord (at least 5 meters long) to reach the nearest plug. How long is the cord that comes in the box? Is a longer cord available to buy separately?

Does it record audio. I need one that will record audio. My prick of a neighbour keeps calling the police making out me and my partner arguing. Need a camera with audio recording to prove what we are doing and saying. I know its ridiculous that I have to record myself in my own home

CONTINUE:- Have to tick two very very faint blue circles on app to confirm you agree to conditions to "CONTINUE" to carry on setting up on the app took me three hours to realise why pressing "CONTINUE" wasn't doing anything !! @#@#@

You need your internet data on your phone and WiFi at the same time, this is what I found out with my first tapo camera.

Mines keeps having problems with sd card where I have to switch the camera off and turn it on again to then format the card. Any idea what the issue is? Its the 2nd micro sd card I have purchased from a Samsung store as I thought the first one I had could have been fake as it was from Ebay. It usually happens after a week or so of use.

if ur cam is connected to wifi, you can see the live recording through the app. I have done it.
@@chelimex7654 After adding the camera to my account, can i give the account to my gf and she logs in, and start watching, with any need to do any configurations ? or she must be connected to the same wifi and being in the front of the camera and and create a new account and do the configuration again?

Thanks for the review. Next time, can you do a bit on the playback UI please? While that's more of a review of the app, it's important to know how easy and accurate it is to use. I own a couple of different IP cams, and each app I use has good/bad points when using the playback features. Would be nice to see this aspect fully covered in a review of this security cam.

Lousy camera. When I'm using the same wifi network, works perfectly. If I go away, the camera gets offline EVERYTIME. Asked Custmore Support for help. No support at all. Stay away from this product, since it doesn't do what is supposed to
Some reported it only works online for two to five minutes then you have to re-access the camera it's not designed for constant streaming apparently

Hello I have bought a similar camera as yours smart and tilt by Orion. The set up is the same. My camera is all working fine and linked to my home WIFI and the app on my phone is working. question when I am away from home and go into my app I cannot see inside my home? question do my phone and WIFI need to be the same? or something is not set up or missing. help please. when I am home the app on my phone works? just not when I am out. hope this makes sense. thank you

Received the camera and it's so easy to set up and I can also view it away from home no problem. The picture not brilliant at night but just a tip put it on day time light I know it sounds daft but it works better.
@@mrthoughtful1669 yeah. if you live in a place where the is street light I also suggest leaving it in day mode, bc in night mode the lights dont help. make the video look ugly. lol
Rassie Erasmus after you downlod the tplink app and connect the camera with your wifi network, it’s pretty much done everything. The only thing you have to do to watch live feed from a diference place is to open your app on the phone.
So if I'm out at work will I be able to see what's going on I don't need to be in reach of WiFi to see the video

You can send a link to the camera feed but that person needs to download the Tapo camera app and sign up for an App Tapo ID to view the camera feed

great camera just a pity the app is a bit of a let down comparing to the ezviz cams better apps but the tapo is a better camera hopefully tapo will sort a better app out and have a better product allround..
