Yeah the majority of cases are false.....the money/compensation involved the more false the accusations are.
The main fault is with the nature of the law allowing such cases and presuming guilt rather than innocence

There was apparently another incident when she was at a race track event and the car that she was in spun off. No crash, no damage, nothing to report but she transformed it into a major traumatic incident and required immediate medical assistance. This gives you a measure of how her brain works and how she craves attention and sympathy and she doesn't care how it's achieved and who is affected. Definitely some kind of personality disorder going on there.

So you you listened to the whole interview like the rest of us didn't you?. Did you not hear about the devastation these false allegations had on his life both personally and professionally. I heard him say that he had not thought the ordeal had affected him but in the hours and days following the dismissal of the case, he felt the stress fall away.
Which by your book would be lucky because then he could reignite all that stress by rushing off to his lawyer and starting legal proceeding that very same day. How about giving the guy a break and who knows, once he has time to get his head straight he may well decide that's what he wants to do, or he may equally decide he wants to try and forget all about it and move on with other projects he wants to do. Because sadly he is likely so emotionally drained, embarrassed and financially drained that he can’t face fighting on longer than absolutely necessary. Until you’ve been in that situation, you can’t even imagine the toll, confusion at what is going on and the why behind it. The stress because, often it is word on word and you have little way to prove your innocence and all your seeing is those believing the lie(s) and it really makes you feel helpless and that there is no hope.
Often it’s an allegation and the accuser will generally have multiple expert witnesses, the main witness which is the person making the allegation and the investing officers backing the alleged victim.
All just opinion, however if the performance of the accuser is Oscar worthy & their behaviour is ticking the boxes of a genuine victim & all your able to do is say “I didn’t do this” then that is how risky convictions occur, on opinion and words alone. Rare to get a conviction that way but it does happen. Financial motive and if the accuser and accused know each other, sometimes it is purely out of maliciousness to get back at the accused.

    I have been here!
All because I committed the cardinal sin of refusing the advances of a woman at a barbecue. This had obviously NEVER happened to her before!
I refused her advances because: A) She was not my type. B) She was drunk. C) She was rude.
After this she started a dedicated blog detailing what 'we' had got up to that night.
She had written an horrific account as to my actions that night, (I politely fought off a slobbering drunk woman and went home alone).
I ended up receiving death-threats by email and post and she gave my address away. She would send people to my home at 3am yet she had NOT gone to the police.
But, armed with a boxed of printed out threats and lies I went to the cops here in France and NOT taking it seriously they said and I quote "Wouldn't it have been easier to have ###### her?" (Imagine flipping the sexes there?)
Luckily, about three months in she tripped up and in an email asked me "Why didn't I want to sleep with her that night?"
BOOM!!! There it was. But in the meantime she had posted my name everywhere and accused me of the most despicable act.
This was a legal minefield, and I could see there plain and simply wasn't the framework to protect someone in this situation.
The abuse stopped, and after wondering why six months later I googled her, and I couldn't believe it... there was her obituary in the paper.
Anyway, all I will say to anyone in this situation is, GATHER ALL YOUR EVIDENCE. Delete NOTHING!!
I believe that in law, if anyone makes such accusations which are wholly false, the accuser should stand to do the time the accused would do were they found guilty, oh and Zero anonymity from the start, because NO adult should be able enter into a legal fight without standing to lose an equal amount, and that MUST INCLUDE ones reputation.

Nothing to do with Keir Starmer, as the Head of the CPS he was only informed of the Police said there was a case to answer. No case was brought re: Freddie, so it wouldn't have reached Keir Starmer. And by that time he had left the CPS so there is no validity to your statement. Stick to facts

    • @iangascoigne8231

Freddie Starr was never charged. I have no doubt that the stress would have been horrible for him and his loved ones. There have been cases when the false accusers admitted their lies and where the injustice was overturned, one on TV in which a man had served 16 years and his accuser cried, saying she'd done wrong. 4 young men at uni evicted from their course and imprisoned when their accuser later confessed to lying.
