It's really odd seeing this man mention depression/anxiety when he would berate 100's of people on his public show to 'man up' over the years. It's funny that. Seems to be one of the many, many humans who think depression = sadness and never truly understand until THEY fall on dark days.

Not spoken to Jez for five years or so but I was with him from his days on Virgin Radio and then Capital. When the TV came along, he made me his PA. Stuck by me through some of the toughest times of my life - literally saved my life. The support he gave me personally was unsurpassable. Yep he's a gobshite and definitely marmite but at his core he is a decent, loyal, honest bloke. From my (now) outside perspective, the whole ITV thing was always going to happen. They loved the pounds rolling in for years but the moment things got rough, they shat all over him and his team. In terms of his tallent, that's plain to see, a consumate broadcaster. I hope this is ok to say but I remember when he started at ITV, he was shocked by how the guests were processed. But he was just the presenter, it wasn't his format, it was ITVs. They paid him, he did what they asked of him.

@@racheldoesacrylic4089 yeah I agree. The stigma is still so rife when it comes to any mental health difficulties. It’s also claimed a lot of lives, sadly. I’ve suffered with Generalised anxiety disorder since I was 4yrs old, had my first nervous breakdown at 17yrs old and haven’t been off anti-depressants since. I don’t think people truly understand unless they’ve seen someone go through it or have been through it themselves. For some, people never fully recover because of trauma or something that fuels the anxiety and depression. Having the luxury of being well-off certainly helps as It gives you access to private health care and more likely to recover when having therapy and taking medication. We do need to fix our mental health care system as it’s just as important as physical illness. xx

Love him or hate him, Jeremy has never waivered from his straight talking opinions. I don't always agree with him but I don't mind watching or listening to him because he doesn't shy away from admitting his views have changed and he thinks differently instead of a lot of people who try to hide or ignore their past views. Alot of the issues or criticisms have to be taken as a whole and take in to account the background. Jeremy may have been the presenter but it wasn't as if it was Jeremy himself stood over every single decision. As I said I don't always agree with Jeremy but he's probably one of the very few people that you can actually say "yeah don't agree with that but at least he's honest". Many contestants have said how bad the after care from love island is. Yet that show continues. The contestant on Jeremy Kyle was given the green light from his GP, if anything he should’ve been held more at fault than a show host.

If a member of staff somewhere does something to you and gets sacked the only person who isnt allowed to know is the aggrieved, but if you say something "they" don't like "everybody" has a duty to be told, you might never work again, bank again and could even end up in jail.
