As someone who’s never played Crusader Kings, I’m absolutely floored that the developers actually put a unique description for a skill level of 69 and it’s simply “nice” And I couldn’t be happier to know it exists
If you play the game properly, Skills almost never go higher than 25. A skill level of 20 is considered to be extremely good and worth changing the entire dynasty over. It takes many generations of constant in-breeding to get skills anywhere near 69, which makes the addition of "nice" even more incredible.
@@Alizudo For what it's worth, I threw some (slightly OP) anime characters into Scandinavia and some of their descendants have wacky stats. One guy currently has a learning stat of 32. Ironically enough, he's only half anime spawn because his mom had an affair with a lustful knight, and is also the only one of his siblings NOT to have the Genius or Intelligent trait! XD Everyone else has a more reasonable learning stat, but I guess he was like "I MUST PROVE MY WORTH AS THE ONLY ILLEGITIMATE CHILD" and just. Studied. Constantly. To be fair, I also made a science cult with all the tenets that are knowledge related, so I think that might be boosting the learning stat of it's followers. Oh, he's 3rd generation anime spawn, just to clarify. To be fair I shoved a ton of anime people into the game because there wasn't anything stopping me from creating more rulers, and it seemed like a good way to start of with a strong gene pool, so that's not exactly playing properly... ^_^'

God I know they’re busy and stressed and I’m sure have gotten some controversy about this series for SOMETHING but I really miss Monster Factory. New ones are literally the only things that I watch that actually gets me to laugh uncontrollably. When I’m in a rough spot I rewatch them. Take y’all’s time of course but man do I miss it. Rewatching them should suffice though

Laughing at a deformity and labeling people that might look similar as "monsters", but I don't see why that would stop them from doing completely "out there" episodes like with Truck Shepard, the woodworking one, or the Skyrim mini series. I feel like there would be a better way to tweak and continue the series without just getting rid of it completely. I don't even know where I would be vocal about it? Do I tweet at them or something?

It comes from a place of not understanding, not hate. The series was ableist, but the solution to completely discontinue it seems rash. I think they could return to it by just doing strickly nonhuman or very absurd creatures- things like the Spore series and the guy made of wood. Calling someone a baby because they don't understand why something is wrong isn't productive at all and isn't going to change anyone's mind; it's simply just mean.

For those wondering where Monster Factory went Justin said that the character creation engines are getting very real to the point where it feels difficult for them to make jokes about them anymore because it starts becoming laughing at a certain group, example like how they talk about "I dont know how to make funny noses cause that might just be somebody's actual nose and they think we laugh at their nose". I do believe there is a degree of fear in there due to the turn away from the McElroys which happened with Travis in the among us stream, the choice to announce a new tour and so on, that good will is gone and they may just be hyper cautious now. I am sad to see it gone, I binge the playlist for comfort and its sad that every time I come back that therell not be any new material but c'est la vie. Hopefully it does come back though.
I also think there's an element of "they ran out of good character creators." I was thinking through games in my head that might make for a funny/good monster factory and they've pretty much all been done already. I also think it's a safe bet that these videos don't make nearly as much money(compared to the time required) as their podcasts. There's no ad reads or anything on any monster factory videos, and I'd be surprised if they're not mostly demonetized. I'd love more as much as everybody else, but I'd hate for it to burn them out and see their other properties suffer.

God I know they’re busy and stressed and I’m sure have gotten some controversy about this series for SOMETHING but I really miss Monster Factory. New ones are literally the only things that I watch that actually gets me to laugh uncontrollably. When I’m in a rough spot I rewatch them. Take y’all’s time of course but man do I miss it. Rewatching them should suffice though
It got shelved because it could be seen as ‘ableist’. Never mind that it actually helped out a lot of struggling people and brought them such much needed laughs, someone on Twitter was offended. Please be vocal about this if you’re upset about it.

Laughing at a deformity and labeling people that might look similar as "monsters", but I don't see why that would stop them from doing completely "out there" episodes like with Truck Shepard, the woodworking one, or the Skyrim mini series. I feel like there would be a better way to tweak and continue the series without just getting rid of it completely. I don't even know where I would be vocal about it? Do I tweet at them or something?

I totally understand it's difficult to see people who don't understand ableism well, I'm both mentally and physically disabled, but you shouldn't insult them over it. It comes from a place of not understanding, not hate. The series was ableist, but the solution to completely discontinue it seems rash. I think they could return to it by just doing strickly nonhuman or very absurd creatures- things like the Spore series and the guy made of wood. Calling someone a baby because they don't understand why something is wrong isn't productive at all and isn't going to change anyone's mind; it's simply just mean.

Your feelings don't matter unless you performatively act offended on twitter and tie your personal baggage to your minority status and hold everyone else accountable for it. Try that, maybe they'll resurrect the series if you say it's offensive to people with depression and anxiety that they took away a source of joy from you or something. For those wondering where Monster Factory went Justin said that the character creation engines are getting very real to the point where it feels difficult for them to make jokes about them anymore because it starts becoming laughing at a certain group, example like how they talk about "I dont know how to make funny noses cause that might just be somebody's actual nose and they think we laugh at their nose". I do believe there is a degree of fear in there due to the turn away from the McElroys which happened with Travis in the among us stream, the choice to announce a new tour and so on, that good will is gone and they may just be hyper cautious now. I am sad to see it gone, I binge the playlist for comfort and its sad that every time I come back that therell not be any new material but c'est la vie. Hopefully it does come back though.

I also think there's an element of "they ran out of good character creators." I was thinking through games in my head that might make for a funny/good monster factory and they've pretty much all been done already. I also think it's a safe bet that these videos don't make nearly as much money(compared to the time required) as their podcasts. There's no ad reads or anything on any monster factory videos, and I'd be surprised if they're not mostly demonetized. I'd love more as much as everybody else, but I'd hate for it to burn them out and see their other properties suffer.
I predicted that they would cancel Monster Factory because they're afraid of the twitter woketivists months ago. Sad to see that seems to have come to pass. So now a series that brought a lot of genuine joy to peoples lives is gone because of the pathetic, mean-spirited dickheads that bullied the McElroys into a state of constant apology and egg-shell walking. You can get pretty wild with the character creator, the graphics aren't exactly the height of realism, and if the boys wanted to be extra careful there's a couple non-human races to choose from. Plus, I don't think many people would complain if the boys double-dipped on games they've already covered.
