My brothers and I watched this movie like a hundred times before any of us ever noticed Quint stabbing the shark in the face with the machete he used earlier. I couldn’t stand the way he treated Hooper but the dude was a badass to the end.
What about that tiger shark earlier in the film? Local fishermen catch it, and everyone thinks IT'S the killer of all those people. Matt Hooper dissects the tiger shark and, finding no human remains inside its stomach, determines a larger shark killed the victims.
The first kill and the way she screams reminds of that scene from that Bear movie titled “The Edge”, where these three guys crash a plane in some lake in Alaska, and they’re followed by this murderous bear, then this one scene passes where one of the dudes gets mauled and slaughtered by the bear. Same vibe lol
Fun fact: In the book, Hooper dies when he is in the cage in the water being eaten by the shark. Quint also dies. But drowned when one of the ropes of the barrels got wrapped on his fot. The one who actually kills the shark is Quint. The shark dies due to the injuries Quint inflicts on him.
Number 1 was always really scary to me, the girl just screaming and praying to god and saying "god please" is just terrifying when i was a kid i I didn't think the movie was too scary but looking back at it now it's just different and terrifying
I never liked the fact that the dog got eaten. I still get the biggest laugh out of the guy at 2:30-2:31 with the white hat and sunglasses, he is laughing when entering the water. 🤣
Well, we don’t actually know for certain that the dog got eaten. Maybe he just thought “I’m tired of playing fetch, I’m gonna run away and start a new life.”
@@KerryKing931 Yes. In the film It's Chrissy, Ben Gardener? Estuary Boat Leg Man. Alex Kintner and then Quint? Right ? I dunno about the book as Hooper dies too ? But that was the reason behind his name.
The death in the pond is one of the more haunting deaths for me because of how the shark appears underwater for a brief second and then goes under then you see the head of the shark but you don't get to see the full true scale of it. And it dies under the water just as quickly as it appeared.
Thats really messed up what happened to Quint.A very horrible way to go out smh.Brodie had to take it upon himself to eliminate that shark and Brodie damn near lost his life a few times messing around with that 25 foot 3 ton great white shark. He was lucky that him being a cop and them cops are commonly practicing shooting a firearm at target practice.Them cops go to target practice til they get it right Thats why you see cops in a gun fight against criminals they have no choice but to hit the target in the head first or second shot.Brodie was one of them type that over the years as a police officer his experience made him almost a marksman because of Brodie him and Hooper survived that bohemiath killling machine.A very good shark flick to this day.Jaws was ahead of its time when that movie hit theaters 👍
You don't really hear of shark attacks these days, the world's become boring. By the way I love the numbers in the corner each time someone dies from the shark. 😂
How did the shark finish eating Quint so quickly? I just watched the movie again the other night and there’s a scene where they say it’s a slow digesting shark and he just went into the water with Quint’s entire body in his mouth and throat, then a minute or two later, his mouth and throat are completely empty for Sheriff Brody to throw the tank into it.
The shark might have spit Quint out or bit him in half and swallowed the lower half. But it could have eaten him whole in a short time frame. Sharks may digest food slowly, but they can gulp down large chunks of meat pretty fast, especially a shark that big.
@@SharkFemme Hence this is one of the ridiculous reasons why viewers criticized the movie and it's sequels, the shark killed it's victims but NEVER DEVOURED THEM, still leaving so many HUGE remains (just like Jaws 3 whereby the victim just lost an arm, a leg and most ridiculously, his skin (as in how is that reasonably possible)), even enough for their funerals (shouldn't there be little to no remains of the victims left)!
@@mavinaxi4240 Seems to be the case in a lot of these types of movies. Victim gets bitten and grabbed, crunched a little, and then taken away or released after being killed. Or the scene ends after the grab, leaving the rest to the imagination. If the creature is going to take prey in its mouth, you'd think it would eat it!
Yes in reality ever other creature would swarming towards the area but in this case the explosion would have at least for a while been scared off the Sea life.
And, this film is rated PG, no less. Parental Guidance Suggested. Before anyone starts the "there-was-no-PG-13-rating-back-then" argument (I've read it more times than I can count), let me ask any of you if there are any movies that *ARE* rated PG-13 today that have the same kind of carnage that *Jaws* has. Let me know in the comments. If you can't give any modern PG-13 movie that compares to the carnage in Jaws, then I've already won the argument.
