This movie terrified me as a kid, BUT... the lady dousing herself in gasoline, lighting herself on fire, screaming, and exploding is just too hilarious.
That shot of the shark ramming through a part of her boat looked too campy.
Does that count ?

Brucette's half burned scarred face is one of the best parts of Jaws 2 Bruce's girlfriend Brucette gets horribly scarred on the right side of her face.
Makes her look more cool.

Same as the Halloween series of movies. A great one, an ok one, the others crap.
At least with Jaws they stopped at 4.
While not a great overall I will say this film had some out right brutal deaths. Eddie's was a rough one, the helicopter is just chilling, the tone, music, quick cuts of back and forth with the shark and the pilot, and the roughest one was by far Marge's, helping save little Shawn only for the shark to claim her right in front of him coupled with the effect it has on everyone. Now why the film makers couldn't do this throughout the film keeping it more of a slasher film I'll never understand.

I know it’s just a minor thing but I have always felt like the filmmakers reusing the scream sound effect from the first movie throughout this one was a nice way to show both are connected just like reusing the dolphin sounds at the beginning with the Universal logo.
I wish they kept the deleted scenes of the helicopter pilot getting attacked under the water
Jaws 2 is criminally underatted and considered a “bad” movie when sometimes I prefer it over the original. The story is fantastic, it made the fin iconic, the music is still fantastic, and is just a great sequel overall. 9/10

Have to admit, if there is one thing this movie did better than part one it was the use of the dorsal fin. I mean here it was way scarier than the barrels every time you saw that thing pop out of the water, and although the shark didn't work in the first film for the most part, they had the fin available and did not use it enough.
When the dorsal fin breaks the surface, then is seen speeding through the water, during the water ski scene, that was bad ass!

I have never seen the first 2 kills in this movie until now. The version I watched when I was younger was the guy with the camera just gets attacked then swims to the surface
Same movie, however that scene is more towards half way when Jaws is following them on the sailors boats and passes the scuba diver

Two things Tina made a huge mistake telling Eddie to swim when she saw that fin! It's said that sharks are attracted by sound and movement. If that's so Eddie might’ve arrived if he'd kept still. 2ndly that girl would've had plugs in her ears when she was doing all that screaming!!!!
in the movie its pretty much shown the shark hungers for human flesh. IRL yes you should try to not move and keep still but even then its not 100 percent on if said shark wont swim by for just a nibble.
@@chromeshellking well, some people are ignorant of certain animals moreover are petrified of a huge and fearsome apex predator incoming, furthermore if otherwise, how long can one keep still in the wide ocean without sinking even if the pursuing shark is NOT getting him/her?
*Interesting fact:* the actor who played Eddie, the victim after the killer whale carcass was the voice of Toulouse from *The Aristocats*
Marge was just trying to save Sean from the stupid shark and she got her turn so that's when it hit me.
I believe that the scene where Marge is devoured, there is a shot where we see Marge head-on in the shark's mouth. But the realization to judge to delete this scene too violent.

One thing I find to be a super dumb criticism is that Tina was acting stupid in this scene and that’s just not true at all!
She was reacting realistically.
Two reasons why what she did makes sense:
#1: While I personally haven’t been in shock, she definitely was and it sounds like when you are you are just terrified and can’t think clearly.
#2: If She tried to save Eddie he would died regardless. Because he’s in the shark’s mouth and she would’ve tore him in half!!!!
By the way, it’s the scariest scene of the movie for me even now.
