here in Australia hardly anyone buys fortuner Ford Endeavour sold here as Everest and considered equivalents to Land Cruiser Prado.... I tested fortuner but its so cramped that in 2nd row 3 adults feel very conjusted n 3rd is not even close to Endeavour than space is also less on the top fortuner is more taller and less wide but Endeavour is completely massive wider n taller lots n lots of space more features better off road capabilities more power n ride too better than fortuner....
dshiningsword dshiningsword because in my state (Northen Territory), there are alot more Fortuners than the Ford Everest (Endeavour).. because meanwhile the Everest is indeed an overall nicer ride than the Fortuner but it also much more expensive... the top spec of Fortuner in here (Crusade variant) is about the same as the lower variant of Everest (almost the entry-level variant) which mean it has fewer gadget and gimmick than what the top-spec Fortuner try to offer.. at the other hand the top spec of Everest is the same price with mid-level Prado... meanwhile Everest is a very nice SUV, it still feels seveal notch below the Land Cruiser Prado.. in term of overall ride comfort, NVH refinement and of course the offroad capability which mean alot for Australian buyers.. and considering Hilux is one of the best selling cars over several continous years for the past 7 years.. i dont see any reason why would people hardly buy Fortuner in Australia like you mentioned before... p.s : im not any car brand fanboy

Endeavour has high quality feel, more room for adults, engine is more responsive n refined, exterior is what an SUV should have and cheaper than Prado too... but yeah people have different choices/tastes/needs n opinions....
dshiningsword you obviously have no idea, the Toyota Crusade interior is more inferior to the Ford Trend, the Trend is a piece of junk, it's a revamped Ford Territory. Fortuner is louder you have to be kidding, if you have taken a Ford Trend for a test run , first thing they tell you is press noise cancellation , even it's been noted here one of the noisiest Diesel engines.

friends in most of the videos regarding the comparison of the fortuner and the endeavour it is said that the fortuner has key less entry and start stop button which is a plus point, but here i would like to bring to the notice of all so as to why endeavour doesnot offer this. Endeavour has two main things to offer- 1. A water wading capacity of 800mm which is way much more than the fortuner. This means that the endeavour can do some really very serious river crossings and during such situation we don't want the water to fiddle with the vehicle electricals and you to be stranded in water. 2. Ford offers the Ford Mykey feature. In general with every vehicle you get two keys. In ford vehicle through this system you can make one key as the admin ket and the second key as the mykey. by doing this one can set up restrictions on the second key like speed lock that means you can set speed limit for your vehivle, volume lock(by default at 14) which means that no matter what you do the volume of the music system will not increase more than 14, audio lock this means that whenever mykey is inserted the music system will not operated until driver and co-driver have put their seat belts. These mykey settings can only be changed if the admin key inserted. This is useful when you give your vehicle to your driver to drive or your kids to drive to make sure they drive the vehicle in control. For this a chip is inserted in the key which has to be detected and that happens only when the key is inserted inside for ignition, hence no start stop is given to the vehicle.

guys access to the 3rd row of the Endeavour is not like its shown in the video. Behind the 2nd row there is a lever that you pull and push the seat forward. makes ingress and egress a lot easier to what is shown in the video.

Both are good, which you choose depends on price. in Australia when they compared these 2 they went with Fortuner because for the top of the line Fortuner they got a bottom of the line Everest/Endeavor for the same price.

Thanks Naresh! We did test both SUVs in the real world for efficiency. In our tests, the Fortuner was the more efficient of the two and returned about 13kmpl overall (city + highway), while the Endeavour returned about 10.3kmpl overall. Hope that helps :)

Hi Sanjeev, thanks for watching the video! Both the SUVs are equally good buys to be honest, though the focus is slightly different. The Endeavour leans more towards occupant comfort, luxury and a premium feel, but is also better equipped at the same time. The new Fortuner is a fantastic SUV on its own and is a huge improvement over the previous generation. It feels outright sporty, and the design is a lot better too. As for the running costs, we are working on something on those lines, do keep following Zigwheels. As for making a choice, I'd suggest you test drive both SUVs and see which one you like more. In our opinion, the Endeavour is a better overall package with its comfort, engaging feel while driving, better performance and equipment levels and more premium feel :)
Both the variants are similar in terms of looks and mechanicals, the only difference between them is the availability of features inside the car. Titanium has better features than the Trend variant.
Fortuner front look ok and back look avarage but Endeavor front back side upper and ground all of thos a perfect segment big suv compare for more around Land Rover.. endeavor purely satisfy for buyer..
The thing over here : 1.Endeavour got sunroof - Fortuner No sunroof. 2. Endeavour got 3200 Cc - Fortuner got 2800cc. 3. Fortuner got paddle shifts - Endeavour does not have. 4. Endeavour has different types terrain systems - Fortuner has 4x4 mode. So over all endeavour has got good features but my friend the resale is what counts when you are buying expensive shit. The endeavour bought by my friend is the top varient any its just 8 months used hardly 18000 kms. He got it for 22lacs. The fortuner is the best what so ever.
The Fortuner's 184mm ground clearance is as per new norms of ARAI i.e, under laden conditions. The Endeavour seems to be showing higher figures as per earlier norms.
Fortuner is still a better bet considering the Toyota's realibility, better after sales service (cheaper too I guess) and great resale value. People sold their older generation innova close to the price of a new older generation innova as crysta is prices slightly higher.
Ford owners know it how sand taste when their car breaks down in the middle of desert or sandy road. Toyota just keeps on going for more than 5 lakh kms EASY
I own neither. But my first impressions is that Endeavor clearly wins on the interior comfort side aspect. Whereas, the Fortuner wins on the exterior looks aspect. I was also looking on some really extreme off-road tests, and it seems that the Fortuner performs better due to a better traction system I saw it was able to maneuver and climb that 45 degree sand / mud steep. I had the impression that in an Armageddon-like driving conditions the 4x4 Fortuner survives better. However, I would think, that on real-life not so extreme off-road conditions that the Endeavor is better. I know, it is ironic given that the Endeavor has a higher ground clearance but just take a look for yourself using the keyword "offroad test". Perhaps, there are some factors like the driver or just that one particular terrain condition.
Toyota will sell more fortuners than ford endeavour just bcz of these 3 things

5:39 Toyota Specs: Torque figure is not correct. Its shown as 420NM for the variant (AT) you are testing, its wrong, its 450NM. The manual transmission gets 420NM.

Both are good, which you choose depends on price. in Australia when they compared these 2 they went with Fortuner because for the top of the line Fortuner they got a bottom of the line Everest/Endeavor for the same price.

Thanks Naresh! We did test both SUVs in the real world for efficiency. In our tests, the Fortuner was the more efficient of the two and returned about 13kmpl overall (city + highway), while the Endeavour returned about 10.3kmpl overall. Hope that helps :)

It is quite common for the same car to have multiple names in different markets.
because the brand everest is already owned by some other company in india. so no other company can use that brand name here. Everest masala???

Hi Sanjeev, thanks for watching the video! Both the SUVs are equally good buys to be honest, though the focus is slightly different. The Endeavour leans more towards occupant comfort, luxury and a premium feel, but is also better equipped at the same time. The new Fortuner is a fantastic SUV on its own and is a huge improvement over the previous generation. It feels outright sporty, and the design is a lot better too. As for the running costs, we are working on something on those lines, do keep following Zigwheels. As for making a choice, I'd suggest you test drive both SUVs and see which one you like more. In our opinion, the Endeavour is a better overall package with its comfort, engaging feel while driving, better performance and equipment levels and more premium feel :)

Both the variants are similar in terms of looks and mechanicals, the only difference between them is the availability of features inside the car. Titanium has better features than the Trend variant.

The thing over here :
1.Endeavour got sunroof - Fortuner No sunroof.
2. Endeavour got 3200 Cc - Fortuner got 2800cc.
3. Fortuner got paddle shifts - Endeavour does not have.
4. Endeavour has different types terrain systems - Fortuner has 4x4 mode.
So over all endeavour has got good features but my friend the resale is what counts when you are buying expensive shit. The endeavour bought by my friend is the top varient any its just 8 months used hardly 18000 kms. He got it for 22lacs. The fortuner is the best what so ever.
The Fortuner's 184mm ground clearance is as per new norms of ARAI i.e, under laden conditions. The Endeavour seems to be showing higher figures as per earlier norms.

Fortuner is still a better bet considering the Toyota's realibility, better after sales service (cheaper too I guess) and great resale value.

Ford owners know it how sand taste when their car breaks down in the middle of desert or sandy road. Toyota just keeps on going for more than 5 lakh kms EASY

I own neither. But my first impressions is that Endeavor clearly wins on the interior comfort side aspect. Whereas, the Fortuner wins on the exterior looks aspect. I was also looking on some really extreme off-road tests, and it seems that the Fortuner performs better due to a better traction system I saw it was able to maneuver and climb that 45 degree sand / mud steep. I had the impression that in an Armageddon-like driving conditions the 4x4 Fortuner survives better. However, I would think, that on real-life not so extreme off-road conditions that the Endeavor is better. I know, it is ironic given that the Endeavor has a higher ground clearance but just take a look for yourself using the keyword "offroad test". Perhaps, there are some factors like the driver or just that one particular terrain condition.
