Welcome to our channel.
We are now in season 7
In 2018 we left the UK to sail around the world slowly. After Brexit, a "Pandemic" and major heart surgery we are still sailing, documenting our travels and showing you what we have learned so far.
We are hoping to complete our journey, and travel right around the world even if we have had a few setbacks along the way. We will continue at our own pace and that may be fast or slow. We want to be sure not to miss anything and have stories to tell our grandchildren when we are old and grey.

Both Greece and Italy allow you to stay 'in-transit' stamped in on a crew list, just like Matla, but you need an agent to do it.

I'm going to the next round...lol. Tunisia it is. We will be sailing somewhere around the Ionian Islands and ending in Crete.

Good evening to you both. Well I sincerely hope you manage to tick the box on a Corinth transit. They have been totally chaotic in how they manage and communicate closures and reopening. We last transited (West) through on 30 Sep 22. They closed the canal unexpectedly and 5 days early catching out a lot of leisure sailors who were then forced into what turned out to be a very bumpy detour around the bottom (apparently it was no fun at all).
If you get through my recommend for a stop would be Galixidi.(O Bebelis for dinner and the Ganymede for breakfast).😀
As for checking out of Greece, have you considered Igoumenitsa - might be possible and better launch point for Malta?

Interesting planning video. Tell me, do you book the end destination (Tunisia) in advance, or wait till nearer the time - how near?

G'day, I'm curious as to why you plan to check out of Europe before leaving Greece and Italy? Im sure I am missing something obvious here....
Because you can save schengen days when traveling long distances and not going ashore by booking out of europe. As you have the right to free passage under maritime law. Sail Safe mate. Ant & Cid
