I guess this is one way to reintroduce everyone to the mecha genre after getter robo arc's announcement! Gotta show the more obscure 'bots some love, too.
@@diegosilang4823 indeed knew that already but thanks it is clear as day when you look at that the original gundam and voltes the characters do look somewhat alike
Dai Guard's First Battle is really what a Mecha Battle Scene would really look like in real life. Forget oversized Firearms; the way Dai Guard fights is less of a hassle than counting bullets that probably won't work.
@Alt Eisen not really. It IS a Real Robot in Armor and its Evasion is bulky Super Robot but its Attack Value is very high like a Super Robot's. It broke the meta in the SRW Z2 duology by having the Salaryman Skill, which multiplies the amount of skill points gained in a stage. This makes Akagi be able to farm for Pilot Points for you to invest in him. This can lead you to max out his stats, making Dai Guard actually tanky based on his own stats. Akagi's Spirit Command Pool is also not a slouch, which is an all rounded Super Robot Pilot Spirit Command Set. With Spirit Commands like Guts (complete HP Recovery), Valor (which can transform into Soul if you make him an Ace), and Bravery, he can actually kill Super Robot-level enemies in two turns if done right. Dai Guard isn't in much danger as it was supposed to be in SRW.
Started binging Dai-Guard, I like how at first how the robot realistically malfunctions due to it large size and how hard financing a giant robot can be.
I have so many ideas for my own Mecha series I was thinking of making a visual novel called star-cross which would be based off of raxphon and zone of the enders
Star-cross would be about a kid who finds himself in the middle of a war between two different sides and find a machine with God like abilities but can't fully control it
Thanks for putting a clip of GoShogun in the video, i have been looking for this for years. Nobody around me seemed to remember this was on tv, so wasn't even sure if i remembered correctly until now.
Voltes V most iconic anime of the best anime in the Philippines since of daybu in 1978. Now Voltes V Legacy they be a first Live Action Adapted anime is a mega hit in 2023 and Toei is waiting in Japan of First Episode of Voltes V Legacy been there.
Mecha Anime in 1970s & 1990s with Voltes, Goshogun and Dai Guard are fighting with Gigantic Robots. I did watching Giant Gorg 1984 and Panzer World Galient 1985, Cool Mecha was awesome.
GoShogun had a really weird adaptation in the west. It was created by Saban Entertainment (yes that Saban Entertainment), and it was basically a mix of GoShogun, another anime called Aku Daisakusen Srungle, 80’s pop music, and most of the cast from Robotech. It was called Macron 1.
It is weird but, as a person of analytics. TH-cam takes time to identify if views are real, so if they're not likes, subs and shit gets removed. So it's just a case of that.
All crap and comical. None of these compares to the Ninja Senshi Tobikage (Ninja Robots) which was so ahead of his time (85') with cool mecha designs and fights. Only the English dub was so bad in that Anime and since it wasnlow on budget, they kept reusing some fight sequences again and again. But if that Anime were to get a reboot today with today's tech, all the Mecha, even Gundam, would pale in comparison.

Indeed
a good way :D
00:04 - Voltes V (1977) my dad's favorite live-action will release this year 2023
⚡ Let's Volt In! ⚡
I watched all of these. Ah the 80's and 90's the golden age of Mecha anime.
Yes I miss those days alot 😭
@@jennymatheny1965 I know man I know
Yes they were. Imagine if Goshogun combined with Nyago King from Samurai Pizza Cats.
Voltes and Goshogun are a couple of my faves, thanks for showing them on Plex.
I'm a dan of Goshogun
I saw Voltes V and instantly clicked its my second favourite mech next to gundam's and Macross
You may be a different person but in this we are the same . Grew up on Voltes V and still have my old dvds.
@@Tsuki_Mond I love the mech its awesome!
Definitely one of the best mecha anime series in the 80's. That's why it's the number anime series in the Philippines!
Gundam series and Voltes V are animated by Sunrise Studio.
@@diegosilang4823 indeed knew that already but thanks it is clear as day when you look at that the original gundam and voltes the characters do look somewhat alike
God... I remember when this channel got only 2k subs... The time really passes..
Voltes V is loved in Italy. Our version has one of the best opening theme ever.

Exactly
@Alt Eisen hilariously, in SRW, Dai Guard has the potential to be broken much faster than most other mechs.
@Alt Eisen not really.

I really got to hand it to Voltes V for a 70's anime. It managed to fill each episode with a ton of action, while still having interesting characters.
Started binging Dai-Guard, I like how at first how the robot realistically malfunctions due to it large size and how hard financing a giant robot can be.
Now that's pretty impressive
Anyone else ever get ideas to create their own Super Robot or just mecha series? I know I did. I have so many. Lol
@The Fantom Convoy 😯
@The Fantom Convoygood! im not going anywhere yet.

How about original super robot wars were every single mecha anime characters lives a normal life and fight monsters on daily basis?

Awesome that you picked up The Time Étranger, too! Not exactly a conventional sequel for GoShogun, but still very good.
I love these three. Some of my favorites.
What would be an awesome thing to see, all these anime mechs including the Transformers go at it
And now voltes v will have a live adaptation airing later this year, 2 teasers have already been released
The third monster is obviously inspired to Angel Shamshel from NGE
Let's Volt In!!!!!!!
After watching Dai-Guard it was dope and lit!
0:04 Where Filipinos watch an anime
Nice Mecha anime..Please Upload All Brave Mecha Series..
Super Robot Wars kept all of them alive.
Yep. Only reason I can recognize these.
Yep. Japan knows history and honor them.
Dai-Guard is underrated.
Agreed

Daigard Was very great for me ... Just seen Fisrst Seasson ... was great and funny

I remember GoShogun when it was dubbed Macron 1, and spliced with another series to increase the number of episodes.

Hearing the Original Japanese Dub makes me appreciate the tagalog Dub :) (First dub - they sounded identical to the Japanese dub)
Where is Robotech ;)
Wish there were transformers
