    echoing the other comments. the video is very useful. if you have a chance, can you advise on your floor jack placement and confirm the jack stand location you used? doesn't look like you are using the normal jack points. thanks. want to avoid marring up the undercarriage.

    remove the center nut on the filter while it’s still on the car it will drain the oil out of the hole and you can avoid that mess

    Is the procedure the same for a diesel engine ? It looks pretty straight forward !

    What size socket for oil filter cap and can I use a torx instead?

    • @Marty09933

      Hi@@edwinmelnik247 yes you can use a torx the big one is
      1 1/4 thanks for watching. I really appreciate you.

      @@Marty09933. Thanks for replying. I ended up going to lowes to buy a 32mm short socket and it worked to unscrew the oil filter cap. And I realized the middle section with torx is a completely different part. And apparently it comes with a gasket with new oil filter kit

    Hey what engine oil did you use and type?

    • @Marty09933
      @Marty09933  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi @@Jordanethix I used 0W 20 Castro oil. I usually don’t put that on the videos cause no matter what oil you use people are still gonna complain and bitch that that’s not good oil and stuff so that’s what the manufacturer calls for on that vehicle. It also say on your oil cap thanks for watching. I really appreciate you, brother.

    How often does that bmw require an oil change

    • @Marty09933
      @Marty09933  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Fubuhz626 the owner’s manual says every 15,000. But I would change it more often. Prolong engine life thanks for watching I appreciate you
