If you're getting a .dll error with the installers, you need to make sure Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio is updated (both x64 and x86 versions) ALSO, feel free to turn up the FRONT CHANNEL IN HESUVI if you feel like you can't hear things in front of you.
By the way Mr Art, you were saying everything in the game config file should be false, would we have to go and change this stuff or because we are on a new game everything should be false already? Because the file from the last tune was cod23 and this is cod24 now.

for the config file 34:11 if anyone has changed it in the past to "true" go to your file explorer > Documents > call of duty > players > options4 > edit > find (then type spatial) and then change "true" to "false" > then hit save or ctrl + s :)

TO ANYONE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH CRACKLING- make sure that you have set your art tune properties under the recording tab to be 24 bit 48000 Hz this fixed the crackling for me
The reason mine was crackling was due to the "Art Tune" under the Recording tab of Sound Options being set to 44100 Hz while everything else was correctly set to 48000 Hz
My biggest concern is the “echo” aspect of the new audio. It seems like it will sound like someone is far away in one direction, but in reality thats just the faint echo thru a tunnel you are nearby and they are about to pop out behind you. That along with the fact that for this technique to work, we woudlnt be able to hear thru dense objects anymore, hence why i think audio is so bad and not consistent. I think were only hearing people above, below, or nearby but if any object or walls are in the way it is muffled AND echoing on top of our own loud and echoing footsteps and to top it all off, if there isnt a lot of noise, you CAN hear people but are actually really far away and you get caught in the open on a wild goose chase…and dead.
just a PSA it is absolutely crucial when uninstalling equalizer APO that you check the "remove configurations and registry backups". I just did all the steps without checking that box and it didn't work when testing. I went back uninstalled everything did all the steps again and checked that box and it worked
Just a heads up, if you plan on using OBS with the tune, in-game voice chat will NOT be recorded if you aren't recording your entire desktops audio. An easy fix is to keep the voicemeeter AUX input enabled and change the voice chat output to that in-game. Then add an audio output capture in OBS and set it to the AUX input, then go to advanced settings and change it to monitor and output so both the recording and you can hear it. Only downside to this is you need to have OBS open at all times in order to hear game audio. Hope this helps!
This is exactly what I had to do. Enable like 2 recording/playback voicemeters like b1 and b2. Router your game chat/party chat through b2 with your mic and that's what goes to my obs
I used to be able to set amd capture software to art tune to use instant replay clips with a hotkey and get all audio but my mic. Now I can't get any audio when making clips with amd software. I tried art tune and the voicemeter out B1. Any ideas?
Alternatively, grab VB Audio's A and B cables. I have OBS open all the time already because I use reaplugs in OBS for my mic (you can set a new task in task scheduler to run OBS as admin on startup). Cable A takes game chat to Voicemeter and OBS. Cable B takes my mic from OBS to Discord and game. This way I have the ability to separate game audio, game chat, Discord, my mic, etc., and since they all auto start when I power on its easy easy after setup.
I'm glad Gadgetry Tech is getting some love. I've been using his target EQ's on Squiglink since MW2. Never needed to use the Art tune for casual gameplay.

The improvement is ridiculous. Just a side note, I did change the front channel on Hesuvi to 60, as I was often missing people, and that felt more consistent

I’ll be interested to see how Art combats new audio nerf. Sounds like a dang wind tunnel and the directional audio cues are completely off. There was a gamer flying in from roughly 3 o’clock from my position and it sounded like he was coming from 11ish o’clock. Horrendous

31:41 Anyone using wave length that isn’t getting audio when testing, I had to go back into the device selector and check and highlight Wave Length Game and set it to LFX/GFX just like the Hi-Fi cable and then it worked perfectly

I competed in many tournaments and I’m gonna be honest but not to put your work down because other people like it, I hear WAYYYY better with my Cloud 3 wireless stock setting than when I tried this. Thank you though. I do have the Crinacle Zero blue version IEM coming in today and I’m excited to try those out.
Anyone find that with the tune there's a lot of noises going on, explosions, gunshots, scorestreak etc? I can definitely hear footsteps better, but it's not as refined and peaceful as the last tunes.
I did everything perfectly I use a Nova 7x and the app works. But everything is so muffled now this is garbage. The game sound ways better without it. Can you tell me how to turn this shit off so I can use my regular headset in game. it so disorienting its giving me a headache. waste 3 hours of my life to make the game sound worse on a high end pc and headset. what a joke
@pestilencec11 I paused the video ever step of the way and ensured to replay some parts a couple of times to make sure I didn't everything correctly. As it was my first time doing any of this. Aside from that I ran ran custom games, warzone and multiplayer matches and tried tweaking some of the settings trying listen to footstep improvements. All it did was give me a headache. I had friends waiting on me. I told them give me 30 mins, next thing i know 3 hours are gone and all the explosions and chests were painfully loud, so i just took everything off. I thought I must have done something wrong, but no I didn't. Also my tech is high end, I'm an audiophile, and I'm not deaf. Footsteps in the game has improved and sound better without these useless settings.
For those struggling post update, i think Treyarch did something with the Front sound. it seems like the WHOLE game is now tied to the front setting of HESUVE. so put that on 100 or w/e you think is good and you might go back to hearing footsteps again. try it and find out

Thanks a lot for such a detailed and easy to follow guide. I’m experiencing a very slight crackle when testing like you did around 33:00 mark. I was able to improve it or minimize it by adjusting the WDM Buffering value in VoiceMeter to 1536, but I cant fully get rid of it after testing almost every value available. Any tips please and thank you?
Following up for anyone else who sees this or has the same issue... I was able to fix or correct this by setting all three options to 24bit 44100. To clarify, my headset or the original value that was checked was at 12 bit 48000. I tried everything including - setting all 3 to 12bit 48000, and setting all 3 to 24 bit 48000 like in the video. I was able to get rid of all crackling by setting all 3 to 24bit 44100, which again, is not what the original setting was at. I also set the Buffering WDM in Voicemeter system settings to 512. Works perfectly. Hopefully this helps some of you 👍

Art, amazing work. Question - I'm using 16 bit astros (will replace eventually), but do I change Art Tune hifi recording cable quality to 16 bit 48000hz or do i change it to 24, even if my headphone output is 16bit 48000hz? thanks
If you disconnect your Astros from your controller and plug it into your pc it will change it to 24 bit studio quality then apply it to that across the board
But to answer your question exactly, yes you need to have the art tune cable set to whatever your hardware is on so 16 bit 48000hz headphones it needs to be the same on the hifi cable 16 bit 48000hz, I do recommend plugging your Astros into the pc for 24 bit studio quality.
Thank you, now I can hear footsteps 10% of the time instead of 0% (serious, not sarcasm, love what you do). Unfortunately I don't think this one can be saved. Everything is always too crowded, nobody has footsteps, sliding/jumping/landing makes no noise, gunshots don't exist half the time, getting hit once completely kills all audio with the piercing and explosive hit sound, etc. With or without the tune and regardless of settings. Somehow they managed to make things even worse than they've been since 2019 (except Cold War) lmao.
@@pestilencec11 Appreciated but I don't play Warzone. The few times that I have tried Warzone to see if it makes a difference, I've notice no difference between it and Multiplayer audio either. The new engine is just awful for audio.
Done everything and its working as per the test, but its just very crackly (even on the test on windows) - tried changing upto 512 on voice meeter and stil the same! Didnt have this issue last tune
I figured it out, make sure you set your frequency on the Hi-FI Cable (Art Tune) in the recording tab to the same as your other tune and headset or IEMs. I don’t know if i missed this or if it was not in the video.
mine cracky too, i followed all the steps even when setting the frequency to 2 channels 24 bit 48000 hz on all my devices ( headset and tune output and tune input) any update to fix it?

Used the Squiglink method to find my IEMs (Truthhear x Crinacle Zero 2DD) that weren't initially listed and this tune is working great. I'm hearing footsteps really well with all the suggested settings in this video. Thank you as always Art. You're the best.

Loving the new tune! Footsteps do sound a lot more clearer and polished. The only nit picky thing im having an issue with now is the over powered scorestreak sounds like uavs and such. Is that a tune issue or a treyarch issue that will hopefully be smoothed out in the future?

Always using your audio guides, they are great! The only thing at this moment that I need to play at 5% master audio in COD when APO is already at -10db. Loud as fuuu
Pro tip: if you play on PC with PS5 controller, it has an audio jack. So instead of your normal speaker output, or normal motherboard audio jack output, you can set it up for controller audio output.
noticed that the asymmetrical compensation and the tightest sound profile do reduce background audio, i tested it vigorously on the training course. im almost sure its not a toggle for an ig eq or maybe it is and changes the sound profile w it. Regardless i know im not schizo, its not evident at all without the tune but with it, its night and day when it comes to the ambient noise. thanks again for compiling all this into a nice package sir.

I have my "game" audio on my GoXLR as the art tune and in game I change my voice chat output to my "system" audio. That fixes the issue

I competed in many tournaments and I’m gonna be honest but not to put your work down because other people like it, I hear WAYYYY better with my Cloud 3 wireless stock setting than when I tried this. Thank you though. I do have the Crinacle Zero blue version IEM coming in today and I’m excited to try those out.

Anyone find that with the tune there's a lot of noises going on, explosions, gunshots, scorestreak etc? I can definitely hear footsteps better, but it's not as refined and peaceful as the last tunes.
its bloody noisy as hell, i hear everything. all i get is headaches now
its either all or nothing, streaks, explosions, lootboxes all fall under the same "effects" category that footsteps fall under

I did everything perfectly I use a Nova 7x and the app works. But everything is so muffled now this is garbage. The game sound ways better without it. Can you tell me how to turn this shit off so I can use my regular headset in game. it so disorienting its giving me a headache. waste 3 hours of my life to make the game sound worse on a high end pc and headset. what a joke

@pestilencec11 I paused the video ever step of the way and ensured to replay some parts a couple of times to make sure I didn't everything correctly. As it was my first time doing any of this. Aside from that I ran ran custom games, warzone and multiplayer matches and tried tweaking some of the settings trying listen to footstep improvements. All it did was give me a headache. I had friends waiting on me. I told them give me 30 mins, next thing i know 3 hours are gone and all the explosions and chests were painfully loud, so i just took everything off. I thought I must have done something wrong, but no I didn't. Also my tech is high end, I'm an audiophile, and I'm not deaf. Footsteps in the game has improved and sound better without these useless settings.
Because of the new season 1.5 game update I can't hear any footsteps at all.

i think Treyarch did something with the Front sound. it seems like the WHOLE game is now tied to the front setting of HESUVE. so put that on 100 or w/e you think is good and you might go back to hearing footsteps again.

I’m experiencing a very slight crackle when testing like you did around 33:00 mark. I was able to improve it or minimize it by adjusting the WDM Buffering value in VoiceMeter to 1536, but I cant fully get rid of it after testing almost every value available.
Any tips please and thank you?
got the same issue. even tought i set the art tune to 48000hz in windows, voice meter lists it with 44100hz in stereo input
Same issue, changed from 2 channel to 1 channel for the 48000hz part and that fixed it for me.
@@jumpscoper forgot the 4800hz option on the recording tab in the sound options... maybe you missed that as well
Following up for anyone else who sees this or has the same issue... I was able to fix or correct this by setting all three options to 24bit 44100.
To clarify, my headset or the original value that was checked was at 12 bit 48000. I tried everything including - setting all 3 to 12bit 48000, and setting all 3 to 24 bit 48000 like in the video.
I was able to get rid of all crackling by setting all 3 to 24bit 44100, which again, is not what the original setting was at.
I also set the Buffering WDM in Voicemeter system settings to 512. Works perfectly.
Hopefully this helps some of you 👍

Art, amazing work. Question - I'm using 16 bit astros (will replace eventually), but do I change Art Tune hifi recording cable quality to 16 bit 48000hz or do i change it to 24, even if my headphone output is 16bit 48000hz? thanks

If you disconnect your Astros from your controller and plug it into your pc it will change it to 24 bit studio quality then apply it to that across the board
But to answer your question exactly, yes you need to have the art tune cable set to whatever your hardware is on so 16 bit 48000hz headphones it needs to be the same on the hifi cable 16 bit 48000hz, I do recommend plugging your Astros into the pc for 24 bit studio quality.
What do you have as voice chat output device? & what you have a microphone input?

Thank you, now I can hear footsteps 10% of the time instead of 0% (serious, not sarcasm, love what you do).
Unfortunately I don't think this one can be saved. Everything is always too crowded, nobody has footsteps, sliding/jumping/landing makes no noise, gunshots don't exist half the time, getting hit once completely kills all audio with the piercing and explosive hit sound, etc. With or without the tune and regardless of settings.
Somehow they managed to make things even worse than they've been since 2019 (except Cold War) lmao.
Try playing the big map. Not resurgence 99 or rebirth.
@@pestilencec11 Appreciated but I don't play Warzone. The few times that I have tried Warzone to see if it makes a difference, I've notice no difference between it and Multiplayer audio either. The new engine is just awful for audio.
Done everything and its working as per the test, but its just very crackly (even on the test on windows) - tried changing upto 512 on voice meeter and stil the same! Didnt have this issue last tune

I figured it out, make sure you set your frequency on the Hi-FI Cable (Art Tune) in the recording tab to the same as your other tune and headset or IEMs. I don’t know if i missed this or if it was not in the video.

Same i think it saved from the old tune even though I un-installed it. But that value will change to whatever u set it to. I left it and it seems work fine

Used the Squiglink method to find my IEMs (Truthhear x Crinacle Zero 2DD) that weren't initially listed and this tune is working great. I'm hearing footsteps really well with all the suggested settings in this video. Thank you as always Art. You're the best.

Loving the new tune! Footsteps do sound a lot more clearer and polished. The only nit picky thing im having an issue with now is the over powered scorestreak sounds like uavs and such. Is that a tune issue or a treyarch issue that will hopefully be smoothed out in the future?

Don't lower master volume, lower the slider under Art Tune in Voicemeeter.

Pro tip: if you play on PC with PS5 controller, it has an audio jack. So instead of your normal speaker output, or normal motherboard audio jack output, you can set it up for controller audio output.
Why would you?
noticed that the asymmetrical compensation and the tightest sound profile do reduce background audio, i tested it vigorously on the training course. im almost sure its not a toggle for an ig eq or maybe it is and changes the sound profile w it. Regardless i know im not schizo, its not evident at all without the tune but with it, its night and day when it comes to the ambient noise. thanks again for compiling all this into a nice package sir.
