Haven't been shelling for about 7 months despite it being my favorite hobby. Thankful to have your videos to watch in the meantime while I wait for my next adventure! Excited to begin my routine shelling again this August when I move to Monterey, California.
The Earth is full of so many beautiful beaches and we are so lucky to have some of them in our "neighborhood"! Listening to you and watching your facial expressions; one can see why it's so special to visit the Islands of the Caribbean...so, from the comfort of my office, thank you so much for letting me tag along on yet one more adventure....in 4K, of course!
Its great to watch you shell in different areas and drives me crazy that I have been to so many of those places and never looked for shells. Thank you for providing beauty and peace through your channel.
That automated voice in the intro threw me a loop, lol. I was like where'd my guy go! 👀 So thrilled for the video in Jamaica ❣ Such beautifull shells. Thankyou so much 🥰 = Hugs
Oh Brian this was a lovely adventure! That quaint fishing village, the place you stayed , the gorgeous views, beaches and shells, Amazing! I love all the shells but those pink big rose petal tellins just took my breath away. So glad you had the opportunity to go back. Thank you so much for sharing!!
OMG! That was amazing!!! And thank you so much for where to stay as well! Jamaica is definitely on my bucket list...now it's gone up a quite a few notches, lol. Thank you to your friends! What a lovely adventure, thank you for taking us too!
I appreciate your kind words. This trip really wouldn't have been possible without my friends here - I appreciate their kind hospitality so much. A couple more, even better adventures from this trip coming in the near future here - stay tuned!
Those Jamaican crown conchs are so interesting! Was hoping you'd find a mature one.. You've come so far! I think its so cool that you go to exotic places (not just same ole Florida videos). Wonder if you'll get to Australia?! Bet it would blow your mind and ours lol. Thanks for this and the continued wonderful videos!
I love your comment! I have a couple more episodes from this trip that I'll release in the near future. My friend took me to a fishing village near Kingston and I found tons of mature Caribbean Crowns! Stay tuned, my friend! I'd love to go to AUS some day, but that's a BIG trip haha. I think Okinawa would be the first place I'd love to collect in the Pacific, if I ever can get there... some day! Appreciate your viewership!
West Indian Crown Conch! They are amazing, indeed. I found tons more of these in another area of Jamaica, and they were huge! I'll be sharing that content at some point in the future here! Thanks for watching!
Hi friend, I agree that it's an absolutely wonderful hobby that brings peace. I always only collect shells in moderation at the locations I visit. Sometimes, I don't collect any at all, and just film the activity to create a video for the experience. I appreciate you taking the time to comment here, and thank you for watching!
I would love to get to the Bahamas some day. One of my friends owns a catamaran sail boat and spends the winters there, and has invited me to come to shell, and film - hopefully some day soon! Thanks so much for watching!
Lovely you enjoy my country. It is beautiful. Is this beach in St Thomas or St Mary? We live quite near to the beaches on plum Island. I should check out the shells here.
Great question! I always double and triple wash shells before traveling back home from abroad with them. I always pack the shells in my checked luggage. There is a check point where luggage is screened upon leaving Jamaica, and upon entering back into the States, but I've never had any issues at these check points. Thanks for watching!
Hi shell friend! I actually live in NYC and work in the start up industry, but don't typically travel for work. I do however, spend a large portion of my free time enjoying this hobby and creating content to share. When I initially started the channel a few years ago, I wanted to try to create space where I adventured to different places to shell(of course easier said than done). I have spoken previously on this channel about Pam Rambo(iloveshelling) - I was always drawn to the way that she presented content and travelled around collecting shells and observing places. Thanks for watching! 💜
@@solaceinshelling6552 That's wonderful! Yes, I'm familiar with Pam's content... what she has put out there is sill so cherished. Thank you so much for sharing your trips and the beautiful way you present it. -Roxann
I'm from the South coast of Jamaica, but I'm more westerly from and where he went, (Treasure Beach, St Elizabeth). All of the South Coast is beautiful, but it's not very touristy, it's more fishing and farming; lots of hills to walk through if that's your type of a relaxing getaway.
As a visitor to Jamaica, do you need a permit to collect shells? Are there restrictions on what or how much you can collect? Are there fees or costs for leaving with the shells?
Hi friend, from the research I have done, one may collect empty shells to take home. Upon leaving the country, I packed my empty shells carefully in my chekced luggage and declared them for customs without any issue. Thanks for watching!
Hi friend, I am pretty fortunate to have quite a few great shells from collecting through the years, so I often don't take too many from the beach when I visit. Occasionally, on a day like this I do wish I had a bigger bag, lol! Thanks for watching!
Hi friend, I couldn't disagree more! Of course, I can only speak to my experience, but I have had the most amazing times when visiting my friends in Jamaica and traveling around this beautiful country! I have much more content from Jamaica coming on this channel, so stay tuned! Thanks as always, for watching!

what bag do you use for holding your shells?
My friend actually gifted me this bag a few years ago, when I started this channel. I believe the maker is "Sunsport Canvas"

Was that pink shell you found a Rose Tallin shell?
I think this was a Caribbean form of a Rose Petal Tellin!
