    I love the fact that you only had one set of hands for this job, but you still took the time and effort on top of all that to setup a camera and lighting umbrella for everyone's benefit! (I certainly wouldn't have had the patience). That magnet trick to find the stud is GENIUS. Thank you Dave!

    I had real trouble with getting those plastic clips in place properly. Unlike other videos, you spent extra time on that, and I greatly appreciate it. Turns out that I was putting the wrong part of the clip inside the slot. As I say, your extra time straightened me out. Thanks!

    I bought and installed one of these a few years ago and love it. I was watching your vid to see what size the attachment screws are (mine were lost in a recent move). I think your vid showed #10 X 2"? is that correct? And are they flathead phillips? Thanks for making the video. Wish I'd seen this before installing mine!

    • @Dave6SS

      Sorry Man just seen your comment..the screws are Philips
      #10x2 sounds right but honestly can't remember

    Thanks for the video. Got my project for this week. And I’ve ordered a second since we both know it’s inevitable. How much room did you leave from the ceiling?

    • @Dave6SS
      @Dave6SS  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kinda judged it by the Headstocks of the guitars..I think I went 6 or 6 and half inches down

    The studs in my house are 24" apart. The String Swing will only cover 2 of the studs. I was wondering if I should mount a piece of wood that spans 3 studs and the mount the string swing to the board. Do you think that will work, or do you think 2 studs are enough. I have all expensive guitars, and I'm terrified that I'll have my Gibson guitars on the ground with their necks snapped.

    • @Dave6SS
      @Dave6SS  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely do the 1st option...2 studs I wouldn't trust it..average Guitar being about 10 pounds × 5 so 50 or so pounds is a lot of weight to go with only 2 studs

    Where'd you get that red BC decal? I'm looking for a bright yellow one, and have had piss poor results with a couple I've found on Etsy.

      Hey Darby...mine is actually 6inches from the top of the plate against the wall to the ceiling..still leaves a couple inches for the Headstock of the guitar to go in and out of the hanger..I could have lowered the unit a bit more but I have all the guitars in there cases bleow..all in all its what looks good to you..Thanks for Watching

    Forgive me but what do you mean by studs in the wall? I’m based in the UK and we use plastic plugs in the brickwork for the screws to secure into?

    • @Dave6SS
      @Dave6SS  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No worries..studs are long pieces of wood call 2×4s..they stand up vertically and you put drywall over the studs using drywall screws..and that's how u can use a magnet to find the studs...different places do different things..never heard of the walls u are describing either
      ..hope this helps u understand..im sure u could use some type of wall anchors to secure it..Thanks for Watching

    Dude, first time on your channel. Appreciate the video content, but I gotta give you some feedback on the video work. I literally had to look away at times because it was making me nauseous. I mean no offence at all. Just way too fast movement of the camera sometimes. Hope you take this is in the spirit I mean it, constructively, not trying to be a troll. Thanks again for the content.
