I hate it when they take a good, well-loved product of the market but at least they didn't change some of them first. There are so many products that don't taste anywhere near the way there used to, all with cheapened-down products. I hope you stay warm. It is very cold here in N.Central Kentucky now.
Just read that Supreme PLC has bought Typhoo Tea, keeping the brand going and in “British hands,” I guess meaning some management as well as consumers! Cheers!
Buy them up. And in the meantime, get some recommendations from tea drinkers who have similar tastes as you. When prices for regular coffee and espresso coffee in NYC starting going through the roof, I found a neighborhood coffee roaster that made a better espresso, and for half the price. A double win for me.
I remember in the early eighties leaving IBM Rome in Torrance California. Was talking to a vendor for a minute at the gas station. Asked me if I liked dorito taco nachos. I said oh my gosh, yes. He said they're being taken off the market. By what you want now. I remember standing in a grocery store in homosassa Florida decades later. And they had been brought back. I still love them to this day. They make a awesome vegetarian Taco salad. An awesome beef taco, chicken, turkey salad 🥗 Stock up on your tea bags. Well you can. You have had your heads up. 😊😊😊 I remember I bought several bags of doritos. Nacho flavor. I still love them to this day.
I love Yorkshire Tea but it's very expensive unless on a very good offer. I've discovered that I like a supermarket own brand tea just as much and it's less than half the price! Worth experimenting to find what you like & affordable xx
Living in the states I never heard of that tea I have a local Schnucks grocery store they were clearing out 100 count boxes of tea bags good til 2026. I bought 12 boxes I will drink the tea even after expiration date. I found a Christmas tin at a Goodwill stashing all the tea bags in there
Oh dear, the tea that I cannot drink, it gives me horrendous wind, is no more. PG Tips growing up, now Clipper Organic everyday tea, makes the best builders tea, + both PG and Clipper use paper bags, no plastic.
Talking of bubble wrap...i have put it on the windows but it seems to be a magnet for condensation. In fact water drips off it. Is that just my house or is it a common problem
My suggestion is try a few different teas and find one that you like as much. Sometimes we eat or drink something so long, we don't realize there are even better options. One that I find is extremely good is Rose Tea. Another one, if you get it over there is Barry's Tea. I think that Rose Tea is even better than Lipton. And to me, Tetley may only be good for iced tea. Everyone has their favorites.
Oh, now they've gone too far...

I was not as keen on typhoo tea flavour, but sad to see go. Huge tea drinker! 😂
Lol! Only in the UK could we hear someone so upset about the possible demise of a tea company. No more Oooooooo

Yay, thank you so much for letting me know

I am one of those rare specimens that doesn’t drink tea or coffee!
Oh no, I am going to put the kettle on after that news.

Better to stock up I don't hear about tea plantations in USA or Canada, I'm a tea drinker in Canada
Tea doesn't expire. In fact storage can actually improve it. Pu-err tea is stored for years, like wine.
Not keen on typhoo prefer yorkshire tea. It's been a very cold start to winter really not nice at this stage in the season.
Maybe start a revolution? Thank you for a great report. From California...
Hi Karen! Well that won't do! 😢 ☕
Vauxhall now typhoo what next 😢
Oh my.... Typhoo is what I drink!!!
It looks like it may be taken over by another company, fingers crossed.
My favourite tea 😢
mine too. My grandmother used to send us over a few boxes every year.
Mine also. We could get it at our Walmart’s until October
-6 for you - 27 for me

Any thought of hanging thermal curtains in the kitchen to block the cold?

Consternation!

Yes for Barry's tea!
@@janetmackinnon3411Barry's is really good.
Where will we be able to get our oooo's now? 🥴
What will happen today the little Tetley man 😊 . Will he be unemployed 😮
Theres a rumour that PG Tips might be taken off the market too.
I know Unilever bought them out quite some time ago. 😔
Tetley is better than typhoo 😅
Start drinking organic tea instead of the pesticide-laced shite. xxx
Try Yorkshire Tea, its lovely...or Scottish Blend...
