yeah, she is a very versatile actor (can do drama, comedy and to a lesser extent action). Not sure if she could carry a whole comedy on her own (wouldn't surprise me if she did do) but as part of an ensemble she is always solid.
I think it's one of those cases where if they were not in the business of reviewing movies, they would not be as critical or analytical. However, they have to be for the sake of fairness. I have a few movies that I enjoy/ed watching but I recognize the problems with them so I don't get defensive when other people say they are not great or right down bad. They are located 1-2 levels above guilty pleasures. For example, sticking to dark comedies, I've always had a soft spot for The Burbs but I understand the film has a lot of issues and that third act kind of falls apart.
I've always been a Jason Bateman fan but somewhere in the periphery. After watching Ozarks I realised how much I like him. He is such a professional and he picks really good roles. I don't think he gets enough credit.
Seriously love u guys. Have watched every single video u guys have ever put out under the DT channel. You guys seriously helped me out during a rough time in my life and I truly ty for that. Ps let me get on ur infinity war review when it comes out Hahaha
I'm happy that this movie is apparently pretty good. Mostly because I am willing to watch anything with Rachel McAdams and this being a good flick is just a bonus.
This movie was energetic, very funny and well-acted by the entire cast. And yes, I did see it as a matinee, but chances are good that I will be seeing Game Night a second time (once I see Black Panther again). Stay for closing credit scene. However, I skipped the zinger at the end of the closing credits. From the online description, it sounded like a quick sight gag.
One of the best made comedies I've seen in years it captures the style of a board game so well with its cinematography, style, action and soundtrack It's comedy too is great and the cast is terrific
I haven't seen the movie, but I think the camera shots to make real scenes to look like miniatures that you guys are talking about is called "Tilt-Shift"?
Plemons' character is somebody who should be in a film like Texas Chainsaw Massacre but somewhere made a wrong turn and found himself in this movie. He stole the show.
I remember seeing this trailer and thinking it looked like a decent premise for an independent, small-scale comedy, but the stars and budget were too big to pull it off well.
Jason and Rachel have chemistry. I liked Jesse Fleming but I did not like the rest of the characters. The climax was predictable. The rest of the cast did not have chemistry. It was not very good for me. This movie needed one of the characters to be a straight man to counter the humor.
Korey Coleman- "One of the best trailers we've ever seen." Are you kidding me?! The trailer seriously made me think the movie was going to be a Razzie contender! It was so stupid with the acting (Bateman trying to get the blood off the dog made me groan in irritation in the trailer, but it actually worked in the context of the actual film itself!) and the guy getting shredded by the airplane engine and Rachel Mcadams' reaction to it... but I freaking loved this movie. I was giggling throughout a ton of the film. It was very well-written, acted, directed, and I give it an enthusiastic full price. I hope they don't make a sequel though, since I highly doubt it could capture the wonderfully unpredictable yet entertaining surprise that was the 1st Game Night.
Jacob Davis I agree with you 100%. I was iffy from the trailers, I heard the reviews were really really good, then as soon as I was able to buy it digitally I did. And I fucking loved it. I couldn't believe how damn good this movie was. I've been telling everybody to watch this as soon as they can. 10 out of 10 for me.
I saw nothing wrong with the 3rd act. It also had one of the films' biggest laughs. 2 words: conveyor belt. Also, not only was the car chase better than the one in black panther, but the fight scene is better than any in that mediocre mcu film.
crescian medston I agree completely. Civil war BP was the best character in that film. The chase scene with him and winter soldier was very well done, and better than any action scene in the black panther movie by a long shot.
Its weird how heavily you guys are judging the plot of a comedy movie, or that multiple times you guys said it was so close to being a classic but its not a full price. Full price doesn't mean perfect but that its worth seeing whenever you can. If its one of the funniest things you've seen in two years it should definitely have a higher rating.
I think the team is getting a little old lol they sleepin in movies and cant stand movies over 1 h and 45 min. Plus they always say the ending messed up their enjoyment. lol stay awake for the ending yall. Joking aside yall see so many movies a week respect but definitely believe yall gotta love movies dont burn yourself out. :) also some of your 3rd /5th act stuff that yall have problems with seems like its affected by yall being tired and wanting it to get to the point in a really satisfying way. I love endings to movies. Never knew some people were so often disappointed by them till your channel. Stay toasty yall all the best.
What's better? A movie that rocks the entire way through but fizzles in the last act or a movie that is not so great for the first two acts, but finishes strong. I feel like a strong finish will make me forgive anything I didn't like previously.
This movie is a rental or some ole bullshit. I did not find this that funny. Why am I disagreeing with all my favorite critics? WTF! I am a Jason Bateman fan and I did not like this movie.
mama drank idk, he always plays the same character that thinks he's too cool for school and Im just not a fan of his acting skills. I think Horrible Bosses was the last time I gave him a chance
glove DROPMIX I second that He's a good actor. Does he have those moments in movies where he's the same guy? sure, but he's type casted that way, but when he's good he's good. The Gift is one of those movies.
I think people forgot how funny Rachel McAdams was in Mean Girls. This isn't her first comedy rodeo. She's always had great comedic timing.
Sean Lenehan also in wedding crashers
yeah, she is a very versatile actor (can do drama, comedy and to a lesser extent action). Not sure if she could carry a whole comedy on her own (wouldn't surprise me if she did do) but as part of an ensemble she is always solid.
All of that praise for a matinee!? Lol
I think it's one of those cases where if they were not in the business of reviewing movies, they would not be as critical or analytical. However, they have to be for the sake of fairness. Critics are always hesitant to praise comedies
Trey They gave Deadpool fullprice if I remember correctly
Shobin Drogan well deadpool is marvel and superhero movie and everybody nowdays are sucking marvels ...
You guys are almost at 100k subscribers
Not enough imo, this is the best review show around, right next to red letter.
Needs more
Girts should definitely dress up as Jesse Plemons's character for Halloween 😂😂
This is NOT going to end up like 'Jumanji' for me--if I have to skip work, gonna catch 'Game Night'.
I saw this at a advanced screening. I LOVED it!!! I haven't laughed that hard in a while!! FULL PRICE!!!
Man February has been killing it with films these last couple of years. Lol
Life and Time Podcast Ya last year had Get Out, Lego Batman, and John Wick 2
If I ever need to show someone what it feels like to not be part of an inside joke, I'll show them Goodwin in this review
Anyone that enjoyed Jason Bateman needs to watch Ozark.
Kyle Chandler and Jesse Plemons-no mention of Friday Night Lights?
Jesse Plemons, the discount Matt Damon.
Aka Fat Damon
Frank Sadat, you are talking about Jesse Plemons?
I saw someone said "Meth Damon" 😂😂😂
Wow Jesse Plemons in this movie looks like Matt Damon in that one episode of black mirror. Can't wait to see this movie.
Jar of Mayo That wasn't Matt Damon in Black Mirror, that was another actor who looks like him
Yeah I just looked it up, it was indeed Jesse Plemons. I thought it was Matt Damon with heavy makeup lol. Very good actor though.
Oh right, that episode with Elizabeth Olsen, right? ;)
I've always been a Jason Bateman fan but somewhere in the periphery. After watching Ozarks I realised how much I like him. He is such a professional and he picks really good roles. I don't think he gets enough credit.

Mo Uddin don't forget the lotion and tissue you good to go
I saw it last night, it was way funnier than I thought it would be.
Mo Uddin the ppl that made this movie are making flashpoint so now i have more faith in DC
movie is getting amazing reviews too bad it's going against black panther which pose to make 100-107 million this weekend LOL
littlebigmarc shame huh? Black panther ain't gonna survive this week agaisnt this movie!
SCARFACE9511 that’s some bad sarcasm
But this movie has a totally different audience similar to jumanji to star wars
anthony cheesman speaking of jumanji, my local theatre is still playing it!
SCARFACE9511 Same lol
Tilt shift photography is the technique that makes real shots look like miniatures
Woody Woodpecker is on Netflix and...I am so baffled by Pica Pau
I wish y’all had a thousand movie reviews I would put it on auto play and just kick back
Korey’s gonna learn all of Jesse Plemons’ lines because he looks like Patrick.
It's called tilt shift, increased saturation and blurs taken at a certain angle.
Was debating if I wanted to see this but now I really do .
great movie review
Have you guys seen Bateman's show "Ozark?" I highly recommend it.
One of the best made comedies I've seen in years it captures the style of a board game so well with its cinematography, style, action and soundtrack
It's comedy too is great and the cast is terrific
I'm in love with this premise, I don't really go to the theater too much tho. I might for this tho
Movie was hilarious I love Jason Bateman
May have to check this one out. Good comedies are hard to come by for me.
Guys, the Woody Woodpecker movie is on Netflix if you guys are still interested in reviewing it.
Saw the trailer at the Black Panther premier. I wanna hear your guys opinions on this movie before I decide to watch it.
Go through their channel--they have quite a few BP-related reviews and discussions.
I haven't seen the movie, but I think the camera shots to make real scenes to look like miniatures that you guys are talking about is called "Tilt-Shift"?
My rating: movie pass
Is this movie an exaggerated audition for the IT sequel? Just as Immortals was a test to see if Cavill would be worth it as Superman?
I fuck hope not
I always judge a film by the trailers they show before its always kinda a hint lol
Lol I think you hurt Girts's feelings at the end there.
Where’s that 15:17 to Paris review 👀👀👀
CandyGrooves exactly why i want them to review it so they can roast the fuck out of it lmao
That miniature" effect is called a Tilt Shift
Thag denzel joke made me laugh so hard
Plemons' character is somebody who should be in a film like Texas Chainsaw Massacre but somewhere made a wrong turn and found himself in this movie. He stole the show.
Korey I hope you guys review Red Sparrow.
Man Who Knew Too Little was the best version of this trope
I remember seeing this trailer and thinking it looked like a decent premise for an independent, small-scale comedy, but the stars and budget were too big to pull it off well.
So pumped for Annihilation, I hope you peeps review it!
If this review is animated, make the cop character sitting in the background with his dog.
Ok Gurt's you got your idea for a halloween costume now you have to decide if you need a fake a dog or if Korey will let you borrow Mojo for a day.
Keep up the awesome work guys 👍
you guys should watch bad words with Jason Bateman. it's one of my favorite films with him and he directed it
Your reviews of this reminds me of that movie Cheap Thrills
HUMBLE BRAG! R.i.P Harris!
Jason and Rachel have chemistry. I liked Jesse Fleming but I did not like the rest of the characters. The climax was predictable. The rest of the cast did not have chemistry. It was not very good for me. This movie needed one of the characters to be a straight man to counter the humor.
If marvel makes fantastic four again, jessie plemons should be cast as molecule man.
Korey Coleman- "One of the best trailers we've ever seen." Are you kidding me?! The trailer seriously made me think the movie was going to be a Razzie contender! +lilchadaldrich 10 out of 10 for me too. Jesse Plemons stole every scene he was in. He gave such a creepy yet mesmerizing performance.
I completely forgot about Identity Thief. Did not need that reminder. Ooooo that was bad. So bad.
I just saw this movie, it’s incredibly funny and creative
The creepy cop was Todd from breaking bad.
I thought the denzel stuff was the best part of the movie especially cuz dude looked like Jamie Foxx lol it should of been him
Damn you guys are tough. All your praises sound like its a full price movie but you guys seem to judge it harder cause its a comedy.
Cliff Martinez is one of the best composers working right now
McAdams not Mack Adams lol
Let me guess, at the end it turns out it was all a game.
You mean not a game? The trailer sells it as it being a game I'm confused what you're saying lol
LEZZZ GO DT CREW
don't know why (Starring Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams) has to be in title of video? we can see title of movie and thats all thats needed.
Doug Unfunny there’s probably a few movies called “Game Night”
no there are not.
The Game came out in 1997. Why did it take them 21 years to come out with a comedy version. Feels like this should of come out in the late 90s.
Jason Bateman needs to be working on Ozark. How long do I have to wait?
I saw nothing wrong with the 3rd act. It also had one of the films' biggest laughs. 2 words: conveyor belt. Also, not only was the car chase better than the one in black panther, but the fight scene is better than any in that mediocre mcu film.
crescian medston well yes he didn’t have much practical action but man that casino fight and the water fall fights are grade A choreography and design
Desire Released I thought that casino fight was horribly filmed. But I’m glad you enjoyed it.
crescian medston I agree completely. Civil war BP was the best character in that film. The chase scene with him and winter soldier was very well done, and better than any action scene in the black panther movie by a long shot.
Oh this doesn’t suck well then I didn’t see that coming
So basically The Hangover
like Mike . that's like mike
BLACK MOON PACK you mean Ox 😂. The dude who kept bullying Bow Wow and who wanted those pairs of Nike sneakers.
Can you guys please also review annihilation ? Going to see it this weekend with bae, wanna know if it is DT approved.
Bae lmfao
Rachel McAdams 😍
Almost a classic but not even a full price is crazy
-Mal Voice
I thought the trailer was funny but I didn't have faith in the movie cuz Jason bateman outside of ozark has been in some bad stuff recently lol
This movie made me a Frito lay for life kinda guy
Its weird how heavily you guys are judging the plot of a comedy movie, or that multiple times you guys said it was so close to being a classic but its not a full price. Full price doesn't mean perfect but that its worth seeing whenever you can. If its one of the funniest things you've seen in two years it should definitely have a higher rating.
Really complaining about that? Man people complain about anything and everything
Low rental for me think I laughed like 3 times
the cgi for black panther is good
I want to see the movie
The directors of this movie or supposably directing the DC movie Flash
3 bags of tostinos scoops for 1
Disagreed this movie is hilarious
THIS MOVIE WAS FU#$IN AMAZING!!!!!!
I always get mad at how much these guys spoil shit yet I keep coming back
I think the team is getting a little old lol they sleepin in movies and cant stand movies over 1 h and 45 min. Is Corey a Blood?
What's better? A movie that rocks the entire way through but fizzles in the last act or a movie that is not so great for the first two acts, but finishes strong. I feel like a strong finish will make me forgive anything I didn't like previously.
Actually Lamorne Morris is wealthy after investing in stocks...
This movie is a rental or some ole bullshit. I did not find this that funny. Why am I disagreeing with all my favorite critics? WTF! I am a Jason Bateman fan and I did not like this movie.
Big Guy617 AGREE!!! I thought I was the only one that didn't like the movie.
have you seen Jason Bateman bad words?
kyle who?? and why do you think people know him???????????
Wow I thought this would suck
Anyone feeling bad for Goodwin?

because he didn't see the movie and just looks really sad to be there
he does look sad
Darrin Ramroop but that's how he always looks like lmaooo
I couldn’t understand the Irish lady the whole time
I thought she was the bad guy
Upload your reaction to the Trump dating site.
This isn't a dark comedy....
skipping thisthe trailer didn't look interesting
Horror movie my ass.
first bitches
Better than sex
turd
I avoid all movies with Jason Bateman
Steve G why he has been in some real good ones
Steve G Check out Ozark on Netflix. Its a drama series and he's actually really good in it.
mama drank idk, he always plays the same character that thinks he's too cool for school and Im just not a fan of his acting skills. I think Horrible Bosses was the last time I gave him a chance
Steve G please check him out in The Gift. He's actually a really talented actor in that movie
glove DROPMIX I second that He's a good actor. Does he have those moments in movies where he's the same guy? sure, but he's type casted that way, but when he's good he's good. The Gift is one of those movies.
