Can heavy steroid abuse cause permanent infertility?

In this episode of Ask the Doc, a 32 year old former competitive powerlifter (who used anabolic androgenic steroids), wants to know if his Testosterone will return to normal levels. He's been off gear for a while now, and gets blood work regularly, but is still concerned about his health, and wants to know if his use of AAS caused permanent infertility.

That does happen a lot with doctors, they don't want to treat or care for you when you are taking anabolics. Or when you mention them they won't discuss it with you, it is like, over their head.

Hey doc, I have a hyperactive thyroid a nodule in my right lower lobe of the gland, and around 8% body fat. Veins in my abs legs back everywhere to the point ekg's aren't accurate with me I need an ultra sound for my heart. 5'10 and about 210lbs. It's very hard to gain weight even on aas. They will not treat my hyper active thyroid Bc I'm "" over weight"" as far as insurance goes. I want to bulk up & gain more weight. Is it time to find a new doctor ? Will any doctors treat hyper active thyroidism if that patient is " over weight". Even tho it's clearly muscle. Not fat

I’ve seen lots of people that used steroids in the past manage to have children, but mostly daughters. Is there anything to it?

Dan Duchaine had the same theory but there have been many "sons" born from admitted steroid users.

Would hcg keep me fertile on a first cycle of test only? I hear it maintains testicular function but it’s always talked about in trt terms. I’d probably run 250 test e a week. Nothing crazy. At 42 My endogenous test is in the middle of normal range. Maybe slightly lower.

Also what does a sharp pain around the corcoid process mean ? Pectoris major injury or possible shoulder problem ? Only hurts when you lift heavy I recently broke my plateau on bench & now I get this sharp pain that'll happen suddenly when i bench with a heavier weight it'll throb for about 24 hours
Is it similar to a shin splint possibly ? Tuberosity isn't built up enough for the heavier weight & the muscle is detaining from bone ?
I am currently cruising on trt & have 10 more weeks left of trt than was going to cycle with deca & some peptides
This injury has me thinking I should hop on sooner tho
Plus fedor shoulder rehab workouts b4 bed is what I had in mind to fix this ASAP

Nah use that if your coming off all together you can use hcg while on trt
