  • We start this episode of Ask the Doc off RIGHT AWAY with a serious question about gynocomastia. He then moves on to how to stack certain steroids together for optimal performance, and to get the most out of them. He also takes some time to discuss erectile disfunction, and what the optimal doses of particular steroids are for what you want.

    SSRI can cause Gyno, I have seen it first hand with a family member. He had been an athlete all through High School, and was put on an SSRI. In 1 month he developed breast tissue. My best friends son gained 50 pounds of fat along with gyno, when he was put on an SSRI.

    you seem less concerned about over suppressed estrogen for men then other docs. I have read elsewhere that if you go too low for estrogen then it is a terrible 2 months before you can get the estrogen back up. Can you address this and the markers to look out for of low versus high estrogen and how to juggle your does to get the sweet spot?

    1 mg EOD of anastrozole for 90 days? That will F you up. I took 1 mg of anastrozole EOD 3 times due to elevated E2 (58 pg/dl) on 200mg a week of Test Cyp and it wiped my E2 out completely. It took over two weeks for my E2 to rebound back to normal ranges (16 pg/dl to 20 pg/dl) is my "sweet spot". I now take .25 mg of anastrozole 24 hours post injection. (it takes about 24 hours for your body to metabolize the Testosterone) I inject 100mg Test Cyp every 3 1/2 days (Monday mornings and Thursday nights) I would suggest this dosage as a good starting point for anyone on TRT that is estrogen sensitive. It may take couple of weeks for your levels to normalize but be patient, it beats the hell out of wiping your levels out too low.

I wanted to do a cycle of nandrolone for the 1st time but wonder if it's too risky if my hemocratin level is on the high side. Any advice is welcome.

      Yours is almost the same as my experience and history EXCEPT, mine freaked out when I hit 755... he had his nurse call me in and sounded like it was an ultra urgent matter, "come in immediately, there is something too high". I thought I had some bad cholesterol reading or high red blood cell count or something. ------- He pulled out a chart that gave a "normal range" by age group. I'm 48 so my group said 200 - 700. I was "55" over and he acted like I could drop at any minute and said there are instances of sudden death. He wanted to drop me down to 100 every week, I suggested 200 every 10 days, luckily he went with that ------ That was 3 months ago... I just LITERALLY got out of the office 2 hours ago and took another blood draw/physical. I'll find out the numbers in another week or so. ------ If he tries dropping me down more, I will be trying to find another doctor who knows more about this. I am literally ONLY taking Test Cypionate... no aromatase inhibitors, nothing else. Of course my diet and protein powders, occasional pre workout drinks, multivitamin and fish oil.

    So I love this doc, but one thing I am confused on is he prescribes Anastrozole side by side these TRT doses in the few hundred range. I mean even Aromasin (Exemestane) would be more sufficient to treat mild estrogen IF IT WERE TO arise. I mean people up to 700-800mg of test per week don't even need estrogen blockers. Anyone know why? Everything he says seems on point COMPLETE truth but I'm a little confused on this point.

    *When a 21 year old male has Testosterone levels of 900 (I did) or more why do they have great heads of hair? Why can 21 year old men pee 7 feet on demand with Testosterone levels of 900? It's not effecting their prostate either! There is a LOT more going on than just high Testosterone levels. Can anyone tell me the WHOLE hormone story of what is going on in a younger males blood? There MUST be a reason these SOARING high testosterone levels make hair grow fast and shrink the prostate in the younger male population. In fact my hair fell out and my prostate grew by 60% in the 5 year period from ages 31 to 36 EXACTLY when my Testosterone levels dropped by 70%. I went to the Dr. ever year and have my full hormone history in writing from ages 21 to 58 - What am I missing here??? It seems to me young men should not have any hair and their prostates should be ready to explode so it can't be JUST the Testosterone since those levels PEAK from 18 to 28 years of age. What and I missing?*

    I am not looking to add size as such. I am aiming to reduce body fat and strengthen lean muscle mass. I am 40 years old, strength training three times per week and diagnosed with low test back in March 2015. My doctor refuses to prescribe any trt. I am based in the UK.. I have good natural strength but about 20/25% body fat and eat clean 90% of the week. My issues are loosing body fat - it takes forever to see any change on the scales and around the bellie specifically and after reading about the health disadvantages linked to low testosterone I'm considering self administration but not 100% sure on how to start or where to buy from 🙈
    What I'm hoping to achieve is the following
    Reduced body fat
    More definition and lean look not six pack chasing at all
    Stronger, energy levels better, confidence boosting, life loving. I love my training but it leaves me feeling knackered if I'm honest and my recovery can take 3 / 4 days

      Ryan Moore Im going to follow drs. orders until I see him again and see the numbers. I imagine spliting it will crash me early each week. Won't be enough. I thought I read this just built up over time... wondering if was normal.

    • @jjjuhg
      @jjjuhg 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jon Lanier after a week you have only half of it in your blood, which is not enough. normal should be 200 mg a week ( 1 ml) obviously your doc is afraid of side effects. see in this video, for 200 a week, he recommends 1 mg of arimidex every other day to block the conversion of a percentage of testosterone in estrogen - you'll have more testosterone to use for muscle and libido than being converted into estrogen.

      Jon Lanier another important thing- the needle must be small. 25 g is the best. some use insulin needles, but it's too small...25 g goes deep enough but is between long and short, the advantage is that is very thin and you won't feel anything. for building muscle the 600 mg per week is best, see other videos from this channel. this will bring your levels of testosterone over 700 nanograms per deciliter - a must to be able to build muscle. repetitions - between 20 and 30. forget about the stupid advice: go from 12 reps to 6 reps. it only makes you stronger, not enough stimulation, repetitions and pump. Cheers! ( 2 or 3 sets like that and you will grow. if the set is painful, no need for more )

    Could you ask him if steroids permanently close growth plates?

    • @HammerLeaf
      @HammerLeaf 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Growth plates close at 25 irregardless of wheather you take steroids, as does lifting weights in general before you're roughly 21. Everyone is different but if you lift weights before you fully develop you're stunting your growth.

    • @jdtown6585

      @@HammerLeaf that's why he's asking, so those under 25 aren't partaking. As far as lifting causing growth plates to prematurely close, that's a complete myth that has never been proven. Feel free to cite your reference.

      After age 19-20 most guys will never grow an inch taller, what are you talking about?

    Ali- 34 years old.
    Hi, I’m looking for help! I have had my first steroid cycle 8 months ago. I was on test eq 500ml weekly along with nandrolone 5. I did take pct as advised in previous videos. Tried to follow everything Except blood work as I don’t understand it.
    My issue I’m having is BAD DIGESTION, lower left stomach pain, intolerant to fatty foods, can’t handle any SODA at all or any sugar. Get serious stiffness in the neck with a bad migraine.
    Been to hospital and docs many times and they say I have nothing to worry about. All is clear but I feel like shit!!
    I won’t do steroids again, please help so I can be normal again. Food does not digest! Lost more than I put on, fasting because food is causing me issues.
    And yeah my sex drive goes from good to bad and vice versa
    Any help will be appreciated
    Thanks
    God bless

    Damn fools asking for medical advice through TH-cam, might as well hang it all up. Though this is great info, you still need real test, blood work, etc to figure out anything. Lastly, if you lack sleep, I promise it's at least half of your problems. Anyways appreciate these videos.

      68 year old Masters o-lifter, natural. Doc says, ".....keep the estrogen under control so that doesn't spoil the party".
      Boy sounds complicated probably expensive too. There's a sign at my gym that says, "Simple wins". After 37 years as a competing powerlifter and 8 more as an o-lifter I believe that.

      scott bivens you may be more prone to gn than others. symptom of not cycling off correctly. the short answer is no reversal. surgery can remove the glands responsible .
