It's strange to hear someone say, "I'm not an addict and can take Ketamin. Quickly followed by, "I'm addicted to food tho. I thought that addiction was an illness of the mind and the substance is a symptom of this. OCD. Obsessive compulsive disorder. Like pringles for instance. Once you pop (one) you can't stop. Addiction is a massive grey area in society, full of misinformation (not anyone's fault). I'd like to think that I'm experienced in the area. But we are complex things, us meat bags...🙏🏽

Everyone has an addiction
It depends. You can be addicted to weed, that's mostly a mental addiction. You can be addicted to simply being high, also a mental thing - the need to by out your own body or mind. But addiction to Benzos or Opiates? That's an actual chemical addiction that messes with your brain chemistry among other things, those are physical addictions. I was addicted to benzos, the symptoms I had when coming off them were unreal but as long as I had some to take, boom, life was good. Coming off them was physically and mentally difficult. A lot of people have the mental addiction side to them only to find themselves taking something physically addictive. It becomes a slippery slope from there. This could explain why some people with mental issues (like depression or ADHD) are especially susceptible to drugs, they usually can't control their mental addictions and end up moving onto something physically addictive.
I can’t sleep for like 2 weeks if i stop weed. I’ve been hooked on all these substances. Weed has a withdraw for sure. Like an iv opiate snd benzodiazepines habit no.
i still think alcohol (the perfectly legal one) is the most addictive, and one of the only drugs that can kill you from withdrawal symptoms
