- What was your favorite beyblade?
Growing up I loved playing with Pokemon Cards, Bakugan, and Skylanders, but one of my favorite toys was Beyblades! I remember going Beyblade hunting on weekends, watching the anime, and playing the games all the time. In today's video, I wanted to take a trip down memory lane and discuss this franchise as I remember it!

Playing with the older kids ones at break time is a core memory
That's what I do in school, I'm the older kid Lol
When i first brought my beystadium to school back in the day, everyone was intrigued and loved my idea. It became a hit at my school for a little while
Bro unlocked a core memory😢. I remember back when I played with metal fight beys. I specifically remember playing with 6th graders when I was in 1st grade. Yeah, I feel like everyone has had the memory.
All the systems for beyblade that have come out so far:
- The initial system(the first system to come out, had four parts, the bit, the attack ring, the weight disk that provides well... Weight and the blade base the bottom part of the beys that the beyblade spins on)
- spin gear system(now five parts, the bit, attack ring, weight disk and blade base return but there's also the spin gear between the weight disk and blade base which determines the rotation of the beyblade)
- magnecore system(still has all the other parts of the previous system, but also has a magnet which affects the beyblades in battle, also some beys have more parts to them like a detachable part on the blade base that can make it either an attack or stamina type)
- Engine gear system(now replacing the spin gear, the engine gear makes the bey get spin back by rotating rapidly when a bey loses speed, sometimes it starts directly after being launched, sometimes after the bey has lost most of it's spin)
- hard metal system(this system is basically a new system since it's not compatible with the previous system beyblades, now beys are back to having four parts, the bit, the attack rings now with metal on them, weight disks and the running core a fusion of the blade base and the spin gear, also sometimes having gimmicks like changing modes and having an unfair amount of spin)
- metal system(now beys have a face bolt which hold the bey together, metal/fusion wheel the one that damages other beys, spin tracks the parts that determines the bey's height and the performance tip or bottom which like the blade base and running core is the bottom part where the bey spins on)
- Hybrid Wheel system( a better metal system, the beyblades now have 5 parts, the returning face bolt, metal/ fusion wheel, spin track and bottom/performance tip, but also a new part called the clear wheel/ energy ring, as to what it does i have no idea)
- 4d system( the metal saga beyblades now have mode changes and are composed of the returning face bolt and clear wheel/energy ring, now the metal/fusion wheel is sometimes composed of a pc frame, metal frame and pc frame allowing it to mode change)
- synchrome system( bow beys have a stone face/shogun face bolt, a chromium wheel/warrior wheel the metal part, the crystal wheel/element wheel the plastic part, the returning spin track and bottom/performance tip, beyblades now have three modes: the chromium/warrior wheel up mode the normal mode where the chromium/warrior wheel is up, crystal/element wheel up the ugly looking one where the crystal/ element wheel is up and the synchrome mode which is basically an automatic win button for you if you're opponent doesn't also use a synchrome bey as it's a combination of two chromium/warrior wheels which are two metal parts being combined together)
Single layer system( beyblades now have three parts akin to the initial system, you have the energy layer the part that deals damage, the forge disc the metal part that gives the beyblade weight and the drivers/performance tips which is the part the beyblade spins on, also beyblades can burst now, which is basically thst all the parts separate which counts as 2 points for the opponent and a loss for you)
- dual layer system( basically the same as the previous system only now the energy layer has a second one screwed in which makes the beyblade thicker and makes it deal more damage)
God layer system(every beyblade has a gimmick now, like recoil, wings that pop out, spin stealing, metal on the layer, dual rotation etc. also the forge disc has a new optional part called the disc frame which i think are more contact points, i don't know, oh and the layer also have god chips which may give them bad or good teeth which makes the beyblade resist bursting)
- Cho-Z layer system ( beyblades now have metal on the layer and still retain the two part disc, and beys now have a thing called level chips, which give them more stability, also later on we got a sub- system called the Cho-Z/ turbo awakening system where beyblades now have Cho-Z/ turbo wing and a burst stopper which gives the beyblade added resistance to bursting)
- gatinko layer system( the energy layer is split into three parts: the gatinko chip which hold the beyblade together, the layer weight which gives more weight to the layer and the layer base the main contact point. Later on we got the sub- system called the mugen/infinite lock system which makes the beyblade free spin and virtually unburstable unless you hit one or two spots at the right time, which makes it burst and later on we got another sub- system called the power core system which has electric drivers/ performance tips which either give the beyblade more spin or makes the beyblade change spin direction mid- battle)
- superking layer system( continuing from the gatinko layer system, beyblades still have three parts: the chip the part that holds the beyblade together, the ring the main contact point and the chassis which is another contact point sometimes. Later on we got another sub- system called the limit break system which when the beyblade has received enough damge and the disc is in place, the beyblade's ring will either pop out big blades, rotate from 5 to 10 blades or split to form a free spinning ring)
Dynamite battle layer system( continuing still from the previous two systems, the beyblades still have three parts: the dynamite core the part that holds the beyblade together, the blade the main contact point and the armor which makes the parts not fly apart, also when switching the armor and dynamite core from place you get high mode and the low mode is what i described when breaking down the parts, also the old forge disc aren't compatible with the Dynamite battle layer beyblades when in low mode but they are when put in high mode. Later on they introduced ANOTHER sub- system called the overdrive system which features a burst stopper mechanism which makes the beyblade hard to burst. They also introduced evolution gears which are other parts which can be attached to only really the combo of the main character's beyblade)
- burst ultimate layer system( a variation of the Dynamite battle layer system with the burst ultimate or just BU blade which has gimmicks. This system was more of a celebration of burst, as it was the last burst system)
Basic line/ X-celerator gear system( beyblades also have three parts now: the blade the main contact point which is metal similar to the metal/hybrid metal/4D and synchrome systems, the ratchet which gives the bey height and also determines the burst resistance of the beyblade because they new bursting was a good idea and the bit which is where the bey spins on and they also help with the new gimmick of this series: the x/ X-threme dash which is when the bit of the beyblade's little gears catch onto the rail of the stadium and Xcelerate rapidly)
Unique line( basically the same as the basic line/X-celerator gear system but the metal on the blade is more evenly spread and the bit now has more "types" like metal ones or gear ones which have extended gears to catch onto the Xclerator rail more easily)
The real question is, who wouldn't remember such an iconic franchise that was the staple of many people's childhoods?
Even though all people seem to talk about is Metal Fight (especially the anime), I encourage everyone to try the other gens as well, though getting anything from Bakuten Shoot to early Burst is a pain in the behind nowadays.

All you need to know about Beyblade X:
-They bring back Metal contact points
-They are divided in 3 parts (currently)
-The blade (which is he upper part with the main contact points)
-The ratchet (which determines how many contact points your bey has in the middle part)
-The bit (that tells you how your bey will move through the stadium)
-Also there is a new gimmick that really makes all Battles be entertaining and that is the Xtreme Dash (so beys can attach to a green thing in the stadium to go super speed)
-Also beys now BURST!

I went to a Beyblade Burst tournament with a friend and my boyfriend back in November called the *Burst Ultimate Championship* and it was freakin awesome, stadiums everywhere, tons of bladers to battle with and even the Latin American voice actors of the characters from the anime (The tournament was here in México) I'm glad to say Beyblade is more alive than ever and that's thanks to this amazing community that I am proud to be a part of
One time I lost a bayblade match to my brother and chucked it at him. They soon were taken away and I cried so much I threw up

Back in like 2011, bayblade was so popular in school, we used to play EVERY school break for like a year straight. And I lowkey got kinda addicted to playing, i spent so much of my money on bayblades, my collection prob would've been like $600 today. But sadly, as the stupid kid i was back then, i sold almost my entire collection for like $100 once the hype of bayblades feel off, because i was a broke kid and wanted to use the money on other stuff instead:(
And no, I'm not a rich kid at all... I basically just spent all of my money on beyblades, i did soooo many chores to afford that shit

I grew up with the metal fight beyblades
I had the pleasure of experiencing the metal fight because I was 9 when it came out and the og plastic ones since I was I around 4 or 5 when the plastic gen was in its twilight years
I do, I still play with them, I used to use a decently big tub for like food stuff and use it as a ring until I got a actual stadium a year later lol

A kid left a dark gasher at third grade and never found when i get a hand of it it became my first beyblade i had that i compete with which was really good.

I grew up with the end of the Metal series and Beyblade Burst these two were peaks my favorite Beyblade is Spriggan Requiem I still have my beys. I checked the most recent series x, but it isn't the same. they are remastering the old beys in a modern way which is pretty cool. maybe you could try them out for a video.
I remember when we played with these in recess inside due to bad weather (I didn't I just watched). It drove the teachers crazy. Good times.

While the Bakuten Shoot and Metal Generation Beyblade series are the "Dragon Ball Z" of Beyblade, Beyblade Burst and X are the "Kuroko's Basketball" of Beyblade. They're more sport anime than they are battle shonen. I hope you get the chance to check them out one day!

I grew up during the middle of the beyblade burst evolution era
5:15 actually, the last system of bakuten shoot, called hms(hard metal system) already used the concept of having the tops use metal contact. However it failed due to the system being incompatible with past beys as well as durability issues

I wanted the Wing Pegasus. I could care less about the game. So, I found a loophole. I asked the staff how much in-store credit the game traded in for (cause EB games lets you do that). Since it was a ds game, the trade-in price was only about 10 less than the game's release price. I then proceeded to buy the game, take out the game and then give it straight back to them, putting the in-store credit towards preowned Skylanders or something (I don't quite remember).
Thinking back, this and one other incident with a Skylander preorder bonus I managed to get for free may have lead me down a dark path of exploiting loopholes to get the best deals possible, like that time I managed to convince the store to sell me a Lego Hero Factory for half price because it had the wrong stickered price tag on it...
I remember Beyblade Burst premiering on Disney XD and I liked it so much. I loved the anime and the toys and products that came out. Beyblade Burst is over now and I'm gonna miss it, but that's okay. Beyblade X is pretty cool too and I love the new beys.

I got rid of the 30 burst ones I had about a year ago, but I recently started getting into Beyblade X.
So glad beyblades are still out (and absolutely thriving) in japan
And they are coming back to the USA! (Hopefully uk next)
I remember my first ever beyblade being a bootleg sagitario, i didn’t know it was a bootleg at the time, just that it sold fir a very cheap price so my mom bought it for me. but when i brought it to my local toys r us, i was playing with a bunch of other kids in the beyblade section and during one of my battles, the metal part of my sagitario broke, the workers at toys r us had to take a look and thats when they came to the conclusion that it was a fake because real one'sdont break that easily, my mom felt bad and bought burn Phoenix the next day (takara tomys name for burn fireblaze) and that became my first ever legit beyblade.
My favourite Gen is the plastic gen. Even though I don’t call it that I call it OG series

In terms of gameplay, Beyblade X has to be my favorite. It's got fast and strategic gameplay while Metal Fight had longer, drawn out battles. It eventually got difficult to run an attack combo, which I simply find more fun ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Nostalgia-wise, metal fight is definitely my favorite. Grew up with those beys, and didn't even know about the japanese ones until BeybladeGeeks introduced me to the anime-accurate beys. Favorite bey, Lightning L'drago. Took me years to hunt down an original colored one.
in bakuten shoot line, there are a version of those beys with metal contact points before metal fight called the HMS or Heavy Metal System😅

Yeah beyblades we’re fun still play with them till this day and for those who know what happened to beyblades the burst ones just explode and you put them back together and the beyblade x they also explode but also have gears on the bottom witch Slide on the sides of the gears witch make it faster and also have metal contact points on the sides so yeah those are the only differents of the beyblade Brust and beyblade x

I'll tell you everything you need to know about Beyblade X!
-The Beyblade X system incorperates all of the past gen's features. The general customization of plastic gen, the metal blades of Metal Fight, and the burst gimmick from Burst.
-A new gimmick is also added called the X-treme dash. Basically, when the gears of the tip are connected to the gears of the stadium, it goes at an intense speed causing huge clashes
-The anime/manga seems to be going for more of a sports theme instead of fantasy which may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I'm digging it!
-There's also the X-over Project that's remaking beyblades from the previous generations into the Beyblade X system to celebrate Beyblade's 25th anniversary. So far, we only have Dranzer-S, but we'll soon get Drigger-S, who's so far ready for release, Dragoon-S, and Storm Pegasis. We'll see more info later on about Drigger and Pegasis on 3/21, which is Beyblade Day. (Get it? 3 2 1?) There was also supposed to be a remake of Trypio from plastic gen due to it being a meme in japan by fans, but was canceled due to safety issues

İ watched the metal saga a few weeks ago. İt is still peak. Especially with Ryuga, now i am reading the manga. My first beys were dark Wolf and dark Cancer.. i didn't know about Attack types, stamina and more i was only like: .. yeah, these looks cool.
So i got them.
Metal saga was beyblade peak. There a charackter doesn't have like 7 different beys or are unchangable. This is all we wanted ever.
