Royal Navy Aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth (R08) Cross decking aircraft with USS Essex (LHD-2)

USS Essex X-Decking with HMS Queen Elizabeth, aircraft from HMS Queen Elizabeth and USS Essex cross deck while in the Arabian Sea. Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 211 cross-decked F35-B Lightning Jets from HMS Queen Elizabeth to the amphibious assault ship USS Essex. Simultaneously, MV-22B Osprey, UH-1Y Venoms and AH-1Z Vipers from USS Essex crossed deck to HMS Queen Elizabeth. Aircraft attached to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 165 (Reinforced), 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, landed on HMS Queen Elizabeth demonstrating increased interoperability, information sharing, and expanded access across the region as allies, as well as credible and capable forces operating in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. HMS Queen Elizabeth is the deployed flagship for Carrier Strike Group 21(CSG21). CSG21 will see the ship along with the Strike Group work with over 40 countries from around the world. The Strike Group will operate and exercise with other Countries' Navies and Air Forces during the 7-month deployment. The Strike Group includes ships from the United States Navy, The Dutch Navy, and Marines from the US Marine Corps. As well as UK Frigates, Destroyers two RFA supply ships and air assets from 617 Sqn, 820 NAS, 815 NAS and 845 NAS.
