still on a 4690K and GTX 970 system w/ 16gb 1600 ram...I'd love to make a new system but money's not really right yet, although prices seem pretty good and availability of good hardware is plentiful again. The system still works pretty well for my needs, I play a lot of older games from 2007-2018 just at 1080 and it still works well..maybe not all at the highest settings but sufficient to be able to have fun.
I feel like I just wrote this...although I just was given a Dell 8700 from a friend for free, 4690 (non K), he gave me my MSI 970 back and this one has 32gb of ram in it with a 500gb m.2 SSD. The OEM power supply was shot but I have to replace it anyways for the 970 and I have a stack of them to throw in. Most of the games in my Steam backlog are easily run by the 970, Witcher 3, FO4, RDR2 (playable at least), Bioshock series, Batman series.. I took a break from gaming altogether from 2013-2019, so there's a lot to catch up on for a system that's next to nothing to put together. I just traded my i7 9700/5700XT system for a Steam deck because it was overkill for what I was playing.
i wanna upgrade my 970, rn now i think i will go with a Speedster SWFT309 AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT (370€) gonna keep playing with FHD, does anyone have complains or recommendations for better choises at this price?
Nice video! Your audio is loud and clear, but it is a bit ahead of your video! Check to see if your render is the same fps as your recording, normally fixes that problem for me :D Otherwise just move the audio up 5 frames or so in your video editor ;)
I just removed my MSI 960 GTX for a RTX 3060. It was showing its age, I wanted to play newer racing games and the 960 was to slow.
Well, that 3060 will definitely treat you well!

Something like a 1080ti might work really well for you in the future, but your system is still pretty good.

Does well still!
Agreed
You should add some new games to the rotation
I upgraded to a 970 in late 2023 and feels like great upgrade from 760. When you missed the 360/ps3 generation and up even old cards feel futuristic.
Thats a great point. We've gotten around to nostalgia for the ps2 days now!
May be too old for gaming but it still edits videos in 720p and 1080p.
Getting old now yeah

That card is a beast!
6700 XT is great
Another sub! Go on!! 💪💪
Appreciate that!

Thanks for the tips!
Your audio is out of sync.
Seems to be a bit, apologies.
