Not really. You'll get some gold for the excess but it's likely more profitable for you to turn them into gems to sell beforehand

so if you keep more than the 346 frost and triumph combined, they gonna be 5,5g each as well, right? so no need to trade them down? is it possible to gain 4k in prepatch and if yes, wouldn´t it be smarter to take the gold when prepatch hits and farm the justicepoints in prepatch? I have a feeling that capping when prepatch hits would make playing prepatch worthless.
Depends on your server, but you should be able to get more gold trading down emblems and selling the gems instead of getting the 5.5g per. On my server I'd make almost double the gold trading down than letting them convert. You could get 4k jp in prepatch but it's a lot of extra work to do for something you could just have done already by saving emblems
Since paladin/warrior will be really weak until firelands due to lack of mastery what do you plan on maining ? flavour of the month aka DK or still paladin and hoping for the best ( not getting 2 shoted :P )
I mained a paladin tank forever and when cata was released they did fine as tanks in phase 1 raids.
Yeah there were quite a few people that toughed it out with really competitive guilds, you will notice a difference but if you want to there's nothing stopping you from playing Pala@@franksczypta1378
He’s stated on stream a few times that the plan is Blood DK first due to its power and ability in the early phase. Hope this helps!
I dont watch streams so maybe thats why i missed that memo :) makes sense bdk is insane in Cata IF played right and thats a big if ,a lot of guys will struggle with some nasty spike damage .I am die hard Druid fan ,regardless of xpansion or Meta ,my Bear is my dude and i wont change him for the world .@@HandoGamez
I'll be maining BDK but will play all of the tanks. I tried it out on Whitemane in phase 1 and it just felt like it was on a level above everything else. If it changes later in the xpac I'll pivot to whatever the best tank is

Convert all badges to heroism and make sure you have 346 triumph/Frost combined for justice cap. Als reach honor cap probably.
honor cap will be 1800 new honor points. If overcap they just gain 35 silver, so 75000 honor convert into 630g

Hey, I have been pooling triumph and frost on my alts just like you - but I was wondering if I can spend them on items as soon as Cata releases, and that way not waste any points from leveling with dungeons.. Do you know if it is possible to buy level 85 gear as level 80?
Hey, in the past they've always required us to be high enough level to use the item before we can buy it (honor gear for example), so I think it will still work that way. It'll be easy to test in beta though

hey Subtle big bro! I was just wondering ... will a paladin MT still be a choice in cata that is like atleast possible or.... I mean right know its like either a pally or DK MT for ideal setup, does CAta have flavours too and are some classes like Druid and War useless ? How successful will I be as a paladin MT in cata and how much more worse are paladins in CAta compared to right now? :)
Hey early on bdk+feral seems to be the best, but bdk+prot (ret OS) seems like it will work fine too. I think BDK MT is mainly important if you want to push really early heroic raid clears, but if you're more likely to spend some weeks or months proging I think all tanks will be fine. Prot pally should get much better as the expansion goes on too and they're able to get full combat table coverage (pushing all normal hits off the attack table)

We don't know for sure yet since they didn't exist back then, but they'll likely get converted to either gold or justice points.

@@frozencreep18 Conversions just got added to beta recently but defilers/sidereal did not get converted. Unclear if they won't or it's just an early version of conversions that doesn't have them included yet

Yah it's correct. The calculator you're using is outdated and based on their initial plan of 2.75 JP per emblem of triumph/frost. 11.58 JP per emblem of triumph/frost was what they ultimately decided on www.wowhead.com/news/emblems-to-justice-points-conversion-update-169500
