Chill Snapper out at the local, spearfishing New Zealand

I'm not usually one for targeting snapper but have changed my ways recently. Diving this spot over the past couple of months I have noticed definite trends. There are little predatory fish besides the snapper and kingfish that come through. The snapper seem quite residential to the reef and there is a great number of them currently. But I think that it comes at the cost of lowering the areas biodiversity. After many dives watching the snapper and hoping for anything else I have started shooting a couple.
