Leervis are game fish and not fish to eat. Rather try not to shoot them for a first fish for the day. Nice fish! Looks like alot of fun! Wouldent mind getting into it. Enjoy!
@Paleis Heuwel smoked is not bad but its difficult to judge when they done. I like to cut thin pieces or portions and then fry ut quickly. I like it. Its a bit like an amberjack.
Good video. I can't believe that the floating fish didn't get the attention of the sharks in the area. But, rather there than on a stinger hooked to the diver, but I've seen that too. Looks like a great day for ya. Post some more videos.
Great to see some quality, simple content. No extra muckery with the editing. Just awesome fish and good diving

i think they great to eat. BUT they can be over done very quickly. So it must be cooked hard n fast.
@@donsolomon8501 he means there are not a lot of them so do not shoot them or if rod and reel fishing, release them

There's a pretty sweet lookin knife between the rocks at 4:43 that would've made a cool find
Don't see it
Great spot!
Great vid Don. Hope to see more.
I can’t help but think shark bait with those fish dangling from the float.
That’s why you put them on the float instead of on your belt
@@deathbyastonishment7930 very true!
Can you remember which spot you caught these fish

I guess it is kinda randomly asking but does anybody know of a good website to stream new series online?
@Miller Kenzo flixportal xD
@Santiago Edwin Thanks, signed up and it seems to work :D Appreciate it!!
@Miller Kenzo glad I could help =)
The likelihood of sharks taking your fish is actually low if you have put a knife through the brain. Sharks are not the problem they made out to be.
Wonderful job!
And is that a garrick spot?
where are you spearfishing at?
need some new good spots near brisbane and sunshine coast
good vid to bro
i normally dive north coast but heading down south coast for a long weekend spearo trip. would you possibly give up the location of this spot?

South Africa
I want to shoot a kingfish but I dont have a real could I get a smaller one like just over 75cm or should I get a real??
If your using a float line you don’t need a reel, just hook your gun to the line
It is whales. Loads of whales around
wish to learn
Why does it sound like whales talking towards the start
Ben O'Toole because there are whales out in the area or near by. Their noises travel for km
I cant hear it you made me listen to annoying fucking splashing noises for nothing lol
Tom Coleman it’s at about 1:13 and onwards
@@benotoole7976 Wow 2 years later and you remember that Im impressed
It is whales
Y didn't he shoot the ray
You’re not there to massacre the ocean, just to shoot what you need :)
Those fish are way better eating than a ray.
