@Bloxxy Box yeah like the music up to that point is telling sonic that it’s too late and he can’t do anything about it and the music up to that point is sonic coming to terms with the fact that he failed the future, and suddenly realizing that he has one last chance to make things right with the planet. Going back to the past may be putting Sonic’s life at risk, but it is a last resort to putting an end to Dr. Robotnics twisted reality.

Sonic CD. Man, this game is a roller coaster of fun. And the routes to get the Good Ending are pretty good. Either you locate giant rings, enter with 50 rings, and grab all of the Time Stones, or go to the past of each stage and wipe out the teleporters. This game, to me, is the peak of 2D Sonic
Sonic CD to the classic sonic games is like dragon ball gt is to the dragon ball franchise, both feel like awesome filler arcs and took a lot of freedom with art direction/writing that makes ppl love it or hate it, no in between, but at the end of the day we can all agree Sonic CD music/Super Saiyan 4 are recognized as masterpieces and their respective franchises wouldn't be what they are now without those
If you mod the Steam version of this game, you can unlock starting time zones for each level. So what I did was I started each zone in the Bad Future and forced myself to travel to the past twice to destroy the generator. SonicCD Hard Mode. It was alot of fun and extremely rewarding.
@@jackin_it you should start with sonic 1, then 3&Knuckles and 2 (genesis/mega drive titles) yeah thats a weird order but the best imo, 1 has many failures in gameplay but its a good game for beginners, 3&K is PERFECT and 2 just sucks lol

Your additions certainly added to the futuristic, techno-esc feel especially! In addition, the pacing between rhythmic transitions was handled greatly as well! Well done as always Kamex. :) And personally I don't think you went that overboard with the original melody, you still deviate enough to be a unique work and the samples from Stardust Speedway "B" Mix and Boss!! are examples of this.

I remember watching this old Sonic Cartoon when I was a kid, honestly I never watched a lot of it though I did love it. I've never really interacted with the sonic franchise but this remix is making me seriously reconsider.

The reason Sonic CD JP tracks are darker is because genres like techno,rave,house and trance all keep you on high alert and keep you on the move. Which is very sonic-y indeed. Not to mention that The franchise wanted to stay relevant to the current times (1993. Go figure). So there's also the 90s-esque breakbeats that add to the intensity. In this particular level they're basically trying to convey "YOU HAD ONE JOB,BITCH!" In the most grueling way imaginable. So no wonder the bad future is just me at the club at 4 am. There's also the fact that the composer's for sonic always pictured the series as a Movie as opposed to a game, which is why games like CD and Unleashed have that cinematic vibe to them.
As random as it was, yeah. I was looking for a rock organ to use in this song because I thought it would be perfect for this melody, but I couldn't find any realistic ones that worked so I actually used the one from yoshi's island and even threw in a bit of the final boss theme in there just because. lol

Great remix! Two problems though, One: You dropped the voice samples which were honestly my favorite part of MMJPBF. Imagine this song with refreshed vocals like _"Sonic, Dead or Alive, he's M-M-M-MINE!"_ Two: You dropped the single most defining feature of any Metallic Madness song. The main 5 note decending scale hit! The 1+2+3 | 4+5! (I don't know how to describe it in text so just trust me on this one and i'll trust that you know what i'm talking about)
