This is such an earworm of a song. Stardust Speedway Bad Future is just an iconic track, one of my personal favorites. This is an amazing cover of it, and I enjoy the focus on the Mania version - such a good take on it.
Something I've always loved about your covers is the attention to detail, and respect you have with the song's original structure and stylistic flourishes. The fact that all the record scratches, drum snares, nearly identical sounding "hey!" samples, hell even the multiple motifs stardust speedway bad future has had over the years goes to show how much care you've put into these songs! I love how this version incorporates the versions used for the Metal Sonic fights in both Mania and Generations. It’s basically a 3 in 1 package at this point!
You know, I was already expecting this one to be a banger, but it did not disappoint! The way you incorporated parts from CD, Generations, and Mania made this song an absolute spectacle to behold! In addition, the way you incorporated the "HUE HUE HUE" was impeccable as well! Also, the little Bowser hand puppet spinning the Side-Quests Vol. 3 disk was an absolute delight. As always, the solo was really cool, too! You nailed this one Jonny, and if what's coming next is what I'm thinking of, then my hype is THROUGH THE ROOF
