Amazing truck, got the chance to go to ranger boot camp. pretty much made the Colorado and Tacoma look silly. The specs back this up. The unique rear leaf springs made the ranger shine in the road course. It’s basically a single leaf with an under load. Great job Tim. Ps. Tow rating is 7500lbs.

I have the lariat fx4 with the sport package. Put a 2 inch leveling kit on the front. Aggressive tires look great with the metallic rims. Slick truck. Happy with it!

The dream ended at 7500 miles when #2 cylinder spun a rod bearing and trashed the engine. Of course ford replaced the engine but now I have a hard time trusting the truck

Shakes, Rattles, and rolls...Got mine back in January. brakes had (still has) bad shimmy when applying. They turned the rotors, and it is better, but shimmy still there when braking. Vibration at take off around 1600-1700 rpm, or when the rpms dip down there at higher speeds, but service dept doesn't feel it and is sorry I feel like I have a problem. Kinda sounds like an old VW bug lol. Then there is the back seat backrest issue where it wont latch. the fix was to remove one of the 4 rubber bumpers. Still wont latch, and at take off or braking the backrest vibrates against the back where it should latch to. then there is the USB ports that dont work.. oh, and the shifter, it can be moved without running, or depressing the brake pedal...and the seats! dont get me started there. ill fitting upholstery, kinda saggy, bubbly, wrinkly..
But it looks good! Drive train does have some get up and go.

Invoice with no options would be between $33977-$39904, depending on 4x2/4x4, super cab/supercrew. Aplan is usually a percentage below invoice price. I can figure it on exact unit.

thanks for the video here is another view. The relatively new to the US market Ford Ranger is a mediocre vehicle. This is due to the manufacturer’s lack of both ethical and sensible business practices. I speak from first hand experience, having purchased a 2019 Lariat crew cab. There is a great amount of irony associated with this critique because this truck has a lurking potential for greatness. Just look at it, then drive it, it is impressive. It delivers a ride that a full size pick-up just can not match. So what’s my gripe? One engine no options and there should be, even though the stock engine performs just fine. The same applies to having a stick shift available. The rear seat is one piece a folding seat adds so much versatility. The bed lacks all the extras that make your truck functional, and the tailgate just flops down, without the easy access system. Inside the Lariat trim is not a Lariat trim, it isn’t even an XLT. Missing are memory seat function for two, vertical power seat adjustment, heated steering wheel, power sliding rear window. The 2020 model changed nothing. This isn’t the first blunder Ford has made, the scrimpy mentality and lack of foresight that brought us the “Pinto” is still galloping around in the Ford corral.

Wish it was affordable for working class people. I mean over 40k for a decent optioned 4 cylinder engine? You can get a similar optioned full size v6 or maybe v8 for the same amount pretty much, but it sure as heck didnt cost the same to manufacture them. I bet the rangers are a good bit less cost to produce than the F 150 but they are costing in the same ballpark. This indicates to me that is BS for the ranger to cost this much. Hell the rangers you offer in other countries are better than this with other motor options and cost less. For Example, take the Fx4 ranger package that is from a ford dealer in Bangkok Thailand. They list this truck, with these options, in 3 different motors for 899,000 Thai Baht. That converts into 29, 719 US dollars. The base model Ranger in Thailand starts at 559,000 that comes up to 18,479 US dollars. Both come with 2.0liter turbo, 2.0 turbo diesel and a 2.2 liter. Fx4 Here with the one engine option is 42-45k over 10k more than same thing basically in another country. Why is this? Someone please try to explain. Cause I really need a new truck I ahve never owned anything new, always had to buy used and I want for one time in my life to be able to by a new truck and make it last me the rest of my life. But the pricing is all messed up.

Nice truck but i rather have a v-6 automatica 5 speed . 10 speed to much gears you goning to have problems down the road. Spend more time in the dealer than in your garage.
It’s a scam, doesn’t get the stated mpg and ford is investigating mpg ratings now. And 45 grand for a truck that is worth less in actual value compared to an f150.
I paid 35 grand for loaded Lariat. Getting close to stated MPG not broken in yet.
skyhawk311 getting an average of 21 so far. Havent done any long distance trips either mainly in town.
