Nicely done! This goes to show what you can do when you understand light therefore, you can use any camera. You don't need the latests and greatest gear.
Just found your TH-cam page. and i enjoyed you talking about the filmmaking process and equipment involved. I am looking to shoot my first short, and this has inspired me to just get out there and do it. Regardless of the equipment, if you have a vision, it will come together.
I kept watching this many times, I just loved it. I like the way your color correction/grading that I can not do it just like the way you did. I loved the story too.
Thanks! Its an amazing camera indeed, My only downside especially on this work was the weight on the gimbal, its so heavy for sure its the camera for stead cam.
Yeah, I bought recently a steadicam vest second hand for 150 bucks and for weight distribution it’s great in combination with a Gimbal. However it’s an extra step to take in mind when going to a set. How do you like the combo of gimbal with the c100? (Besides the weight problem)
Wow! Well done, sir! Great execution with the limited time you had. It felt like a scene from a film or a series. My favorite was the last shower scene; it was ominous and intriguing. The lighting and sound design would be perfect for short horror stories. Keep working, brother. You have reignited my motivation to create films. It's great to see more African filmmakers emerging, which helps diversify storytelling from various perspectives and angles. Great work! I wish you great success in your future endeavours.
@@mehdikhadouj8935 Thanks my brother, I live in Tarragona, end of this year I will come to France to film something, lets get in touch, Plz Dm me on instagram @henrymwakajumba
@ 1:01 was that scene filmed from one of your shorts on TH-cam, the one you are showing the Ulanzi light ? I saw another light above the shower in that short . 🤔
A couple cuts seemed forced at the beginning but other than that this was a joy to watch! Great job! 9/10. I really like the transition to a greener lighting in the tunnel to draw out the suspense. It felt eerie.

What are some good key terms in finding the audios you used for the suspense
I think you need to find something that goes with your story especially feelings wise.
@ 1:01 was that scene filmed from one of your shorts on TH-cam, the one you are showing the Ulanzi light ? I saw another light above the shower in that short . 🤔
Yes this the one, the ending part, but the Ulazi wa for a little fill in the eyes, but for the key light I had the Amaran 60x
A couple cuts seemed forced at the beginning but other than that this was a joy to watch! Great job! 9/10. I really like the transition to a greener lighting in the tunnel to draw out the suspense. It felt eerie.
Thanks for spending your time watching it!, Do you mind sharing the time code where you think the cuts where a bit forced so that we all can learn?
I agree. Some of the cuts seemed redundant. Sound design, particularly the foley, could've been captured better live on set, especially the footsteps.
this is good!
Thanks!
Very well crafted short. Excellent light, sound and cinematography - amazing what you still get out of the 10 year old C100 - all shot with C100?
Many thanks! Soon I will come with video breakdown of my creation process.
great bro seems awesome! only one thing.. how come that there is so much jitter?
On the short film? Or on this video? Can you point with time code maybe I didn’t notice
Nice, what lens do you use?
Mostly was the Sigma 18-35
Great film. Did you adr the dialogue in a studio. Or was it scratch audio from set?
No sir I didn't ADR its straight from set!
@@AfricanFilmmaker ok thanks. What kind of mic 🎤 did you attach to your camera. Or are we hearing the internal mic?
@@Jason92881 its was a boom mic with Sennheiser mk416, check the behund the scene video and Part 2 coming next week.
what lens did you use?
Used the Sigma 18-35 in all the shots except the showers I used a cheap Canon 50mm.
Looks great but you need better control of the gimble
Used for the first time in my life on this film, hop to get better some days!
