    It’s more fun to drive a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow. I love working on Chinese bikes. When I work on my KTM, I’m in fear I’m going to mess something up.

      This is a great answer to a lot of problems that people have with these Chinese bikes. Thank you so much for your input.

    I bought the Lifan X-pect 200 from Amazon (same engine as the kpm200) and have been really impressed with it so far. Wanna do a valve adjustment (should have already) but for stock, it's insane how good it is for the price.
    Where did you get the Honda Cb250r? I really like the neo-retro look of that one but I thought they only sold the 300 and 500 in the states for those.

      I live in Oregon and it seems like there are quite a few CBR 250cc R. I wasn't particularly looking for this exact bike but when I found it I thought it would make a fun little project. I'm super stoked with the way it turned out. Thank you so much for watching and supporting my channel.

    You will probably feel a noticeable increase in power after it's broken in. My KPM200 opened up a lot around 500 miles, and what I have read on forums that is a common break in period. I believe the manual notes a similar break-in range.

    • @hanzdidit
      @hanzdidit  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Stone, Thanks for the info. That is great news, I love this bike so i will keep riding it to get the full break in and see if we get a little more out of that 200cc engine. What kinda top speed are you getting?

    • @stonemodus1560
      @stonemodus1560 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@hanzdidit I have a few mods that affect the top speed, including full exhaust and 17t front sprocket, but last weekend I hit indicated 89mph (87 was the high on gps)

      @@stonemodus1560 Sounds great! Do you think you’d be able to link the 17t sprocket you used to help get you up to those speeds? Also, was the installation pretty straightforward?

    Great review. I recently got one and though I've only put about 40 miles on it, so far I'm really impressed with this little bike. Parts and accessories are cheaply available if you know where to look. I went with Venom Motorsports because something just didn't sit well with me regarding XPro. My KPM was delivered from a lift-gated box truck directly into my garage. A big truck like the one yours was delivered in wouldn't even fit on the street where I live. Also, there were some minor scuffs on the exhaust guard and Venom was very quick to send out replacement parts when I notified them, without me even asking. Very open communication channels. You might try them out for your next purchase, but since you've had good luck with XPro maybe not.

    • @hanzdidit
      @hanzdidit  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much for your input, had tried getting in touch with the guys over there and I have not heard anything back after trying a few times. I will definitely not give up on them after hearing what you have to say. For now it seems like Amazon is doing a pretty good job with the Xpro people so for my next bike I will order it from them but I will not give up on the Venom Motorsports and keep trying. Thank you so much for watching and supporting my channel.

      I'm super stoked that you like the way this bike turned out. I deleted the front fender because I thought it looked cooler without it. I think it's all about the individual style some people like it within some people like it without. I've had a lot of people tell me to remove the leather straps, but I kinda like them. Just do what you like to make the bike the way you like it :). Thanks so much for watching.

    Watching you since forever but have a subscribe. I actually watch you mostly for your Lifan KPM200. Its a shame not many channels focus on these with the enduros/dual-sport/supermotos being the only other channel of popularity. I like both, but there's simply too much of the other channel content out there so I've searched for people covering this model. Hawks are nice but if you add up the costs of having to modify and replace parts on them you end up spending close to this bike and you don't get as much bike in my opinion. Maybe if hawks came in supermoto out of the box with 17 inch wheels and rubber more suited to street as well as some light off-road I'd be interested but as you've done with ADV tires on the KMP200 its the best choice. Lower cc but lower weight so the HP to weight ratio is higher on the KPM200 than on the Hawk and countless clones so you get more performance. It is a real damn shame Lifan USA does not import the current Lifan KP250, it has been out for years in other countries. 25.5 HP / 333 POUNDS = 0.07657657657 ratio which is even better than the KPM200 you have there with the Hawks and most china bikes getting a ratio of 0.049 or so and the slowest Harley getting about 0.08ish to 0.09ish so you can see that Lifan KP250 will be pretty fun for the smallest fraction of a cost of something like the slowest Harley. KP250 would get you a 3.6 gallon tank and about 87 MPG or 310 miles per tank and in countries where it is sold they come with ABS and are considered a Benelli 251s killer. Looks aren't my thing being more sports touring, I do like KPM200 retro look. The Hawk and co. are used as farm bikes in China. You can get the LIfan KPX 250cc Fuel Injected Dual Sport from some companies in the US but its lower HP, lower fuel economy, lower cruise range, etc. over the Lifan KP250 with ABS. If you don't mind having to watch a Pakistani TH-cam channel the one called DatBikerDude has a good review on the recent year Lifan KP250 ABS in English words with sprinkled Pakistani words.

      @@hanzdidit If you really want to make yourself think. The bike you got from your favorite American Online Retailers starting with the letter A, the 200cc class of Lifan bikes can be bought on the favorite China Online website also start with the letter A. Using the KPS LF200-10W bike as an example of the 200cc class the price is $1,520.00 - $1,680.00 per unit ordered with more units giving less cost per unit. Lifan factory sales reps will handle setting up the order and shipping to your closest port of entry. The only extra step you do is pay the port fees when it lands domestically and then you do the same thing all the A market place stores your on your favorite American Online Retailer does which is pay the same freight companies to ship the box from the port to you as the customers location. The markup you pay buying locally online is average of $1k USD on all China motorcycles. The really really cheap ones that can be bought on the China site for $800ish ranges have less markup to give you prices like the carburetor Hawks out there in the $1,499 range domestically. It would be just one extra step to save the $1k, sounds worth it. No one is making these videos yet on TH-cam about how easy the process can be and you can bring in models you want instead of waiting for someone else to do it for you. The only thing about the China A website is the search engine is really horrid to use. You have to figure out what Chinese terms were converted to English and used to be search hit parameters but I've already found Chongqing Lifan Passenger Vehicle Co, Ltd. and if you need their address and contact details I will pass them along.
