CSI ETABS - 03 - Pier Labels and Spandrel Labels (Part 1) | Part 10

In this video discuss about, why we define Pier label, spandrel label and how we assign pier label & spandrel labels in ETABS.
Pier Label :-
Step 1: Click the Define menu --) Pier Labels command to access the Pier Labels form to add a new pier label to the model.
Step 2: Type a name in the Wall Piers in edit box.
Step 3: Click the Add New Name button.

Brother, when we have a shear wall lift core having a shear wall at three sides should we assign the same pier label to each of them or should we assign a different pier label? As all walls are monolithically connect so they will deform as a unit so according to me, all three should be assigned a single pier label... Please reply

Yes. . BROTHER... we assign lift well or core wall .... a single pier label... so that it will act like a single unit.. ...
Software will check all the walls and display the results of critical one only.....
For detail results about each result you can assign different labels to each wall.....
Software will not disturb the integrity...
And
ETABS automatically design for shear .... for each leg.
