what is meant by cracked and uncracked section Sir

Cracked section is applicable in Reinforced Concrete where after cracking, all tensile stress is taken by steel reinforcement. Concrete is considered to be ineffective in taking any tension.
Uncracked section is of particular interest in Prestressed Concrete, where to take maximum advantage of prestress (in terms of durability), it is ensured that section remains uncracked at service load. This is achieved by keeping tensile stress below the modulus of rupture of concrete during each stage of construction.
