Diane…I’ve seen a brilliant thumbnail!!! I kept looking at it thinking, wait something is different here, it took a few moments to realize what you did…..how did you get the smile so perfect
And the end of the international pilot right after Bobby, Mike and James in the cell scene for the entire dream sequence Dale has in episode 3 (2 if you think that the pilot is episode 0)
Was lucky enough to sit down and give the first episode of this when it aired. Did not miss an episode. It was obviously groundbreaking. Enjoy. The time frame is real btw. Even today back wood's towns are still decades behind fashion wise.
@@Reel_Food Would it help with remembering Ben Horne's name if I were to draw your attention to the ice cream connection? His brother is called Jerry...
Watch Fire Walk with me after the second season. And theres Twin Peaks: The Missing Pieces, its deleted and cut scenes added to the movie, and to my shame I just realised I havent seen it. Then season three, though it has a sloooooow start, but its guaranteed Lynch 😊 And with most of the original cast. Giving that bittersweet feeling of how the time passes on.
MOAAAAR! Nice intro! :D There are 2 movies, well, technically, there is 1 movie, and then there is a "movie" made with the outtakes of the actual movie, both are worth a watch, once focuses on the main character/plot and the other on the rest of the cast around it. Andy found Waldo! Good for him! That Llama... that stare was not planed, was great how they left that in. If that have been me, and knowing me, if it ever had stoped in front of me i would have ruined that take by hugging it and not letting it go! *Owl Noises intensify* For next episode, Lamb!, a whole leg! Donuts and coffee work too of course!
Are you familiar with 1960s TV series The Fugitive (remade as a movie with Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones in the 1990s)? The lead character had two recurring nemeses: a one-armed man, and an obsessed Police Lieutenant named Philip Gerard - and now Twin Peaks reveals that its one-armed character is named Philip Michael Gerard.
Was that Alan Watts in the beginning? Pretty appropriate opening voice for a Lynch/Frost work. Edit: originally confused Alan Watts with Terrence McKenna
@2:52 Darn it! All of my Tinder photos are of me crouching behind a couch. What should I crouch behind instead? A crib? A llama? What's the key to more matches?
You should watch Fire Walk With Me with the missing scenes. There is a great fan made version where the missing scenes are perfectly included. Don't watch The Return before seeing it.
Personally, I think watching The Missing Pieces separately is better for a first-viewing. Plus, it’s questionable whether the extra stuff with Phillip Jeffries is even canon.
@@Quirderph this all goes back to English colonialism where they divided most of the world east of England into the Near, the Middle and the Far East (the 3 Easts). So you have to think more from the perspective of the UK and that of the US.
1. YEAH! here we gooo! awesome reactions again! 2. oh no! I missed the detail in the thumbnail! I'll pay more attention from now on! thank you to @mrlol2238 for showing me there was something there! nicely done! 3. Audrey throws her cigarette in the toilet so it's ok! no FIRE in the school! 😅4. at the vet, the lady says: "no, that's not Dr. Bob Lydecker..." when showed the Bob drawing. he's supposed to be the one arm man's best friend and he's in a coma at the hospital and he works at the vet! that's why the one arm man was at the hospital! if you recall Dale's dream, the one arm man knew Bob! now, I suggest you find the end of the international pilot and skip right after Bobby, Mike and James are at the station's prison to where Sara Palmer is in her couch for the entire dream sequence Dale has. (in the series Sara sees the gloved hand picking up the necklace in her couch!) don't worry! there are no spoilers in this as Dale explains it all in episode 3. (Lucie and Harry were there, Hawk drew Bob instead of Andy, Mike shoots Bob and then it's 25 years later in the red room, break the code, solve the crime!). there are some little details added that were cut in the episode! (watch out for MIRRORS behind Sara! you might see things in them if you re-watch the dream! 😮I'd love to see your reactions!😅) 4.0 Hawk saw Josie in her car when he arrived at the motel! they were just standing were she was parked! 5. you say there is less dreamy stuff in this one but the way you recap the episode at the end sounds like a dream to me! 😉6. good ear on recognising David's voice! 7. fun facts: Mark Frost, who has a cameo in the series as Cyril Pons; he was in the pilot but, only his voice was heard, and then appears 2 more times in the entire series, (keep your eyes open cause it's short!😁) wrote and directed the invitation to love episodes! 8. as for the rest well, either the comment section will tell you (spoiler alert) but I think you're following just fine! sorry for the book report again! I have so much to say but it's "CLASSIFIED"! ps: your love for the show is really cool! nice opening! have a great one till the next time!
you're welcome! but this is only the tip of the iceberg you know? well, even now as I'm re-watching, I've just, after a million re-watch, discovered that Mark Frost has a second cameo in this series as another character! it's very subtil though! only his voice really gives him away! I had to rewind a couple of times before I found out! and even if I'm not sure, I'm pretty sure still! the voice doesn't lie! can you spot it? haha! this show is a re-watchable show for sure! like hearing new details each time in Pink Floyd albums!😅 if you start to become board! there's always a bunch of details to go hunting for, either the soundscape and the music (thank you sound engineers and Angelo Badalamenti), the imagery, the dissonances in the types of acting (more real compared to soap opera mixed together, the humour, etc...) always... a pleasure! @@Reel_Food
The ICONIC unscripted llama moment.
I love the way the receptionist laughs at the llama interaction with Dale
great to see this show still being enjoyed, don't worry I didn't have a clue what was going on the first time I watched it either!

Just another Twin Peaks mystery!
Always loved that shot of Josie pausing in front of the stuffed bear when the phone rings.
So ominous!
The extra editing at the beginning as a lot of fun. GLad you're enjoying the series. The reactions are great. Keep up the good work.
Watch seasons 1&2, the movie (Fire Walk With Me), then season 3.
Don't forget about "The Missing Pieces" released in 2014... That will connect you to Season 03 pretty smoothly.
@@imdiyu I always forget that cut...

Yes, this is very important!

Its a funny detail how Twin Peaks goes along well with Invitation to Love 🙂
Clearly the inspiration behind Lords and Lady:s in the Max Payne game series.
It's always a similar topic going on there but what year is it? 😉
"Mister Horn-ay" always makes me laugh.
Good. Just ignore the fact that I constantly call him by the wrong first name.

Love the movie, never heard of the TV show - this is an amazing bit of trivia!

Yes good catch! Song credit goes to Dream by Dream Fiend
Yeah, that was unmistakably Watts 🙂 I agree that it's appropriate in the context of Lynch/Frost, but I'd argue that McKenna would be as well 😁
Funny, I was just thinking about that same Alan Watts talk you put in the beginning there.
Mmm French Cruellers. I want one now.

For a first viewing it has to be separated. The fan edit screws up with the pacing and tone
That fact that Jacoby seems to think Hawaii is to the east of America has been annoying me for thirty years now.
I don't think he does. He is comparing it to Tibet and is thus using East as reference to Asia, not as a compass direction.
@@Henrik_Holst Where does the line go, exactly? Japan is an "Eastern" nation yet most Americans would travel westward to get there.
