So I learn from several from time to time. What I like about your channel and lessons is your pace and quality of information. The fact that I have to watch the video over a week before moving to the next is a great way to get the most out of the lesson. Hi .I have a doubt about one sentence and the translation.....about PAST TIME why did you put into the sentence "BU": Ta wei shen me BU gao su ta qi zi? When you translate it in PAST SENTENCE...it´s suppose that "MEI" word must be into...like: Ta wei shen me MEI gao su ta qi zi? and MEI .....isn´t IT mean "Have (has) Not...." etc and Past Time....and you do like this: Why DIDN´T he tell his wife? From what I understand, "Bu" is translated as no/not, while "mei" is translated as "not yet". So if the sentence goes with "Ta wei shen me BU gao su ta qi zi?" means " Why didn't he tell his wife?" (In context, perhaps he had the chance to tell her, but he didn't and probably he won't). While the sentence "Ta wei shen me MEI gao su ta qi zi?" means "Why hasn't he tell his wife?" (In context, it is something he should've told his wife earlier, but he hasn't). Besides, I'm not sure if Chinese actually has tenses (past, fututre, etc), but let's leave it to the experts though. Hope this helps :)
I got a bit confused on when do we use "yao", "xiang" ,"da suan", "da suan yao" and "xiang yao", is there any specific case where we can only use some words but not the other, as they are all pretty similar. It would be nice if someone could answer this. Thank you!
