Rumors were that Woody Page, the guy he co-hosted one of his older shows with called Cold Pizza, wanted to leave because of the tension between the two of them. Then I remember when he left First Take with Stephen A. Smith, the same rumors were afoot. And now Shannon wanted to leave for seemingly the same reasons as what happened with the other guys. There seems to be a pattern here...The man is 71 years old, I highly doubt he'll be able to learn any lessons in his life at this point. He is what he is unfortunately.

He put in the man hours, and is well connected with both ESPN and FS1 studios which is why he makes a high salary and has kept his job. Nobody in the sports commentary world has Skips work ethic, intensity or passion for the industry.
