'Had an aunt that got killed there once' has to be the most underrated joke of the entire series 😂
Hilarious 😂 ✨
Its a town build out of the land fill... Filly
Oh that makes sense! Thanks for the tidbit ✨
You may have missed that Wilzig saved CX404. She weighed under 10oz and was supposed to be incinerated but he recorded it as 10oz anyway. That might change how you feel about him?
Fun Easter egg: 404 is the webpage not found Internet error. So CX404 means canine experiment not found (because Wilzig hid her).
Congrats on episode 2!!!

I thought it as Customer Experience Not Found
Oh my gosh I wasn’t quite sure about the scene recording CX404’s weight! Ok that does make a difference on how I feel about him. And what a fun Easter egg! That makes so much sense about her name 😱
I love little bits of trivia like that! Thank you for watching and all the TH-cam things 💖
Ha ha good guess. Canine experiment is a good one 😆 I feel silly for missing it.
@@kanpai_ky😊
@@kanpai_ky Don't take this the wrong way, but you have to pay more attention to this sort of details. Because the show is very much full of it, and most of it is MUCH more subtle and almost basically background noise and not in your face as it was in this case. It's very much an intentional design decision on how to tell the story, trusting the viewer to not need some throughout hand-holding explanations.
There's also a lot of context related things that you have to kinda go back to, in order to actually understand them.
“Future bears are terrifying”
Dude, regular bears are terrifying 😂😂
Apparently not as much as the average human male 😂
Black bears are cute and easily scared. Its grizzlies and those weird looking mutant bears that aggressively go nuts, attack everything savagely in sight and look like they had a years trip with fentanyl. Ragged and weirdly looking faces. But yeah the most dangerous unpredictable big animal there is who even scare off tigers. I think Sloth Bears is their name. They attack like badgers when threatened or startled without regard for their own life
LMAO! True! Although now there’s the whole man vs bear internet debacle 💀
Oh my gosh I love this tangential extra trivia 💖
Black bears look like they need pets 🤣💖🐻
Ok but regular bears won’t be a challenge for power armor. Unlike Yao Guai, regular bears would probably run after getting a punch from a power armor.
The big bags that the squires drag around is a funny reference to your in game character giving all your junk to your companion to carry so you aren't encumbered. The size just makes it amusing. 😂
Not really it is a reference to the golfcaddy in the literaly first minutes of episode one that carried the same bag. Shows that your companions are nothing else than caddys giving you your biggest stick when needed. Todd is rich he likes golfing.
Underlined by the quote „give me my 9 iron“
I heard others say it’s also a funny reference to gamers adding too many items for their character to carry etc. Not sure if that’s true, but it is hilarious to see the massive size of the bags
Oh that’s a really interesting observation! I can see that being a weird carry over to the new world
"are we bored now?!" ... funniest reaction to this scene ever, not even kidding . i literally choked on my drink so thanks for that!🤣🤣🤣
😂 glad you enjoy my sometimes dark sense of humor 🍻
Lucy pointing the gun at diaper dude is a reference to players not putting their guns away when talking to NPCs. An even more obscure in-game reference is that diaper dude is a reference to some NPCs you meet in the original isometric Fallout game. So, two fan services in one scene!
Love it! That scene was great and truly had me laughing out loud 🤣
You're really on top of the whole presentation for a brand new channel. Editing is on point, good sound (a lot of channels struggle with this), right balance between talking and "just watching."
Subscriber #31 on board :)
Thanks and much appreciated! 😃
It’s a lot of work, but hoping to get faster at editing and more comfortable with commentary with more and more practice ✨
7:47 Yeah but the upside is that the bugs are big enough that one roach can be a meal.
yeah no! i have been playing fallout for nearly 2 decades and in all that time i have refused to eat rad roach. i know it's ridiculous and i know it's not real i just can't do it!😆
@@davidperkins6752 LoL, I don’t remember if I did either. Anything else would be better.
It's not that bad if you cook it first.
Oh my gosh nooooooo LOL
I've often wondered while playing Fallout games how well fat juicy radroach would taste over the BBQ with the right amount of seasoning.
That search location thing you did was very COOL. No-one has done that before, and ive seen A LOT of reactions.
Awesome! Glad to hear it was appreciated 😁💖
I thought the same thing, that was great seeing the search and revealing the real thing. Was like in Chuck.
@@kanpai_ky They did great Job on the show. They Used Clint Eastwood Old Westerns, "The Good The Bad andThe Ugly" Lucy is Good, Maximus little bit Bad and the Ghoul Is Ugly..They did similar thing with The Mandalorian.
The Enclave is what is left of the US government, the military and some of the most wealthy people, they were already a thing before the bombs fell. They are one of the most resourceful and technologically advanced factions in the Wasteland
I foolishly thought enclave and vault tech was the same thing.
@@tauceti8060 Kinda, Enclave was at the top of Vault Tech.
@@krounos1 That's also not really correct but I don't really wanna get into that here because I feel this is going to be something the show dives into a bit more later on. Let's just say they have some sort of relation, to keep it simple and ambiguous for the people getting into the franchise.
LoL, it's funnier when you find out what happened to the first enclave members were killed off by their A.I
The Brotherhood of Steel is actually a remnant of part of the US Military, the Enclave is the continuation of the top officials & intelligence gathering arms of the US Government, and Vault Tek was one of the largest private companies that had their influence in a bit of everything.
I think Dogmeat is a Belgian Malinois in this series. Pretty dogs but illegal to own in a lot of places.
Your right! I incorrectly call her a German shepherd but she is indeed a Belgian Malinois. They definitely need an experienced person to properly train and work them appropriately. Beautiful dogs 🐕 💖✨
@@kanpai_kyDogmeat is often depicted as a German Shepard in the games
"It's like a western but also Mad Max" is the best elevator pitch for Fallout. I'm using that from now on.
Love it! 😃🍻
Two headed cows are called Brahmin. I'm not sure if anyone's explained it to you yet, but the majority of the vaults had very messed up experiments performed on them. Some were just for people to live in. Information on the vaults was fed to the Enclave, for a while anyway. This is why he knows who Lucy is and information regarding her vault. The gun Lucy uses on the ghoul shoots syringes with various chemical cocktails in them.
It's not his head/brain they want, it's the chip he put in it.
The tool that Lucy uses to take his head is called a ripper. It's not that great of a weapon. The donut you saw is from Shlocum Joe's. It's the major coffee and donut shop in Fallout.
Oh wow! Thanks for the tidbits ✨
I had no idea there’s a donut shop in fallout 😅
Note: The bobbleheads in the game award you some sort of permanent in game bonus, there is just 1 of each to find.
That’s so cool! Thanks for the tidbit ✨
@@kanpai_kyI didn't want to give away anything but still enjoy the series. Another thing you could do that won't give anything away is watch the opening cinematic to Fallout 4, it will add some context later.
"I was surprised it wasn't more popular," was a great joke.
True! 😂
Gosh you're popping off! Great vids so far miss. You're gonna go far, kid. I'm glad you picked Fallout to start with. Your beer pairings, editing, and genuine reactions are a breath of fresh air. I can't wait to see more from you.
Yay! More to come 😁🍻
More reaction videos need to do beer/other drink pairing like this at the start! Love that you start with that
Thanks! I’m glad it’s appreciated 😃✨🍻
The slow-motion bullet effects from the ghoul are basically v.a.t.s. mode like in the game that lets you slow down time when you're shooting. It's a big part of the gameplay, so I'm glad they included it.
Oh that’s really cool. I love when they film in a way to remind you of the video game origins.
Reminds me of the scenes in Last of Us from the very first episode when they are driving in the car and it feels like you’re in a game being the passenger in the moving vehicle.
For such a new channel, you’re great at reactions vids. Looking forward to your reactions to the rest of the show
Thank you so much!! Glad you’re enjoying so far 😃💖
Another fun video. And your reactions look and feel like you've been doing this for a while.
Surprising that they got Michael Rapaport to play basically himself.
Wow I really appreciate that 😅💖
Hoping to get better and more comfortable with it as I do more ✨✨
Excellent video, your comments were very entertaining, I really liked the detail of adding curiosities about locations, or cultural information throughout the video, since those of us who are not from the USA often miss these types of references.
¡Saludos desde Perú!
Thank you very much! Glad to hear you enjoyed it 😃💖✨
It's refreshing to get an outside perspective on the show, looking forward to the next reaction!
Yay! Glad you enjoyed! I love seeing other reactor’s perspectives as well. Thanks for watching 😃✨💖
These videos are amazing keep up the work
Awww! Glad you like them! 😃✨
Filly is short for "Landfill". It was built in and old landfill lmao
Awesome ha ha. Thanks for the tidbit 😃✨
I love your use of Google Maps to focus on real world landmarks.
Thanks! I was hoping people would appreciate that 😄✨
Why was Hank kept in the dark about Vault 32 but when Betty takes over as Overseer she isn't phased by all the murders?
probably a "stick to the plan" mentality or assumption that the raiders did it, they likely only communicate to arrange exchanges so they didn't know everyone was dead until the raiders got in.
Normally I don't like in new movies the slowed gore scenes. But in this show it makes sense, it's a reference to Vats.
Great video! It's fine if you're still figuring out who is bad or good; the Fallout series has always been about morally ambiguous characters and dark humor. Lucy is kind of unique in her overly idealistic, naive approach, but you can see how other characters are skeptical about that.
Oh agreed! Will the landscape change her and how so? She plays the part really well.
@@kanpai_ky It's kind of spoiler territory, but Lucy has some of the best character development in this show. You'll like it, I'm sure ☺
What?! Ube beer? Mind blown!!! Im from the Philippines I dont even know we can make Beer out of Ube. 😂
If this were game accurate she'd have taken the bobblehead to gain a skill bonus 😂
Too fun! 😆
When she saw it in the shop I was hoping she would take it lol. Not for a particular reason. It’s cool it’s so meaningful in the game!
Enjoying these reactions. I enjoy that this show gets the main characters together so soon, and gives them choices to make that are difficult. Also love your beer pairings. You get the coolest beers lol
Thank you! And same - I did not expect all 3 to cross paths so soon. I definitely have access to a lot of fantastic craft beer out here in So Cal :)
Just want to say I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction! I had thoughts on the first episode, but I appreciate you talking about your thoughts more as things are happening on this episode.
Your editing skills are really good for only having a few vids. Subscribed and hope your channel sees good growth!
I really appreciate that! It’s definitely hard putting something out there when there’s creators who have mastered this, but I’m doing my best to learn fast and “get good” 🤪 Editing is definitely the most time intensive and difficult, but it should get easier along the way.
Beer and Fallout? Subscribed!
Yay! 😁💖🍻
Love the reaction more of this please
Yay! Glad you like it 😃
If you're going to have alcohol during the reaction, you must take a swig every time you say "OH NO!", from this point forward. (It's a TH-cam statute.)
"OH NO!"🍺"OH NO!"🍺"OH NO!"🍺"OH NO!"🍺"OH NO!"🍺🥴...♾... 😵
See you at the end of episode 3... Heh heh.
LMAO 🤣 I’d need to be a ghoul to handle that amount of alcohol 💀🍻
Funny observation, I was your 181st sub and by the time I finished the video you had exactly 200, which is a great growth rate if it continues like that lol. Enjoying your reactions to the series, and wishing you the best of luck and success. Looking forward to seeing the channel grow.
Wow, thank you! I’m shocked at the current rate myself 😅
Not sure if this is your first exposure to Fallout or if you have any game experience. You seem a new visitor to this world. But the Ghoul shooting people in Filly in slow-motion is reminiscent of a tool you get to use in games, called V.A.T.S. Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System I think is the full name. It lets you set up your shots rather than aim yourself and they play back in slow motion, a lot like The Ghoul's Filly fight sequence. Although he probably can't be using VATS as I am pretty sure it is a Pip Boy function. In his case, by the time he's survived in the Wasteland for 220 years, he must just be a much higher level than everyone around him.
Stimpacks are also a nod to the games. Stimpacks heal crazy well instantly, to the point of even achieving some limb regeneration. Hence the badly injured dog was mostly healed after being given a Stimpack, the same thing Knight Titus was begging Maximus for.
The Filly shopkeeper was in a show called My Name Is Earl. I had to watch the preview a dozen times to figure out where I knew her from when I saw it. Drove me nuts!
Vault Tec advanced targeting system
What was the song you played at the beginning of this video? While the scientist was teaching the puppy? I was vibing to it so hard. I must know
Glad you enjoyed it! So all the music I use or license will be credited in the description. I licensed "Background Jazz" | Volodymyr Piddubnyk for that sequence. For episodes 1 and 2 there was music I licensed to to cover up the shows copyrighted music. I had a hard time uploading 1 and 2 to YT due to the contend ID system (copyright), so I went with this route. But for episode 3, after listening to a lot of feedback I used just bits of the original music and didn't cover up the original sounds. Thanks and cheers!
@kanpai_ky that was such a quick response and you answered my question so thoroughly... I am officially subscribing now cause of that. I just found you today, normally I have to watch many reviews before I'm willing to sub, but you sold me with that. Thank you.
Also I'm impressed that so far you havnt used the name of Jesus in vain. You got a fan
Not sure if Wilsig is a bad guy, or just a bit mysterious and creepy. (The actor is great at playing such roles, IMHO) But I thought he was certainly interesting. Sadly they killed him after just one episode.
Not sure what filly stands for, but one guess from others was it came from landfill
Oh that's a good point! Such a good character actor. Very memorable in Lost. And that's a really good guess about filly! Sounds plausible to me.
Lol, SNOWBALLS?!?!
😂
Futurama pull! Get that Patreon powered up and take my money.
Wow thank you 😅✨🍻
Filly: land fill
Makes sense 😆
what a coincidence, im from philippines lol. Ube is great
Couldn’t agree more! 💜 The brewery I got it from is owned by Filipino Americans and was recently awarded best new brewery of the year in San Diego. They’ve also done a buko pandan beer and rice lager that were great 🙂🍻
@@kanpai_ky thats great to hear!
As a German used to beer brewed according to the German purity law it would take me some effort to drink a beer that is purple... 😨
Ha ha I bet! Don’t worry, I drink traditional styles as well 😁. One my go to favorites are helles beers. Simple, clean, and crisp 💖🍻
Pretty sure I was sub 420... :D At least it showed 419 when I pulled up the first vid and I subbed right away.. So, even if not, I'm claiming it.. :) On this video, if you are going to use looping non show audio / music, may need to turn it down a little.. During the CX404 / injection scene that got kinda annoying (just .my opinion) Other than that, loving your reactions.
Thanks for the 420 sub he he!! 😆
And I appreciate the constructive feedback. I’ll definitely keep that in mind moving forward 💖✨
Great reaction!
Glad you enjoyed! Thank you :)
A new star is born...subbed
Aww thank you kindly 😃💖🍻
@@kanpai_ky you had me with how you said, "don't bother asking me questions...~Squire~" 😂😂
Do my eyes deceive me? Do I see D&D stuff behind you?
NO IT IS THE CORE RULES GIFT SET CAN WE BE FRIENDS?
It sure is 😅
@@kanpai_ky duuuuuude, you will have to do a Vox Machina react now.
I love this! Here's hoping you finish the series altogether
Thank you! As I write this now, one more episode to go. I’ve been loving the series ✨
As a Belgian I have to say... who puts that in a beer ? Sacrilege, I say, sacrilege. 😁 You should really drink a Belgian beer while watching the show seeing as the dog is a Belgian Malinois, our National dog breed. 🐶🐕🦺
Ha ha I see I see. I don’t have Belgian beers too often; there harder to come by out here in SD, but definitely around. Delirium Tremens is certainly a loved classic in my book. Perhaps I’ll pair one with a future epsiode ✨🍻
And yes the pupper is a Belgian Malinois. I’m less familiar with the breed but know they are incredibly smart and athletic. I instantly love CX404! 14/10 good girl 😆💖🐕
@@kanpai_ky We are very proud of our beer culture here in Belgium. It is on the UNESCO World Heritage List for a reason. For a country of 10 million people we have over 1.600 different commerically brewed beers. So a different beer per 6.250 people, all with their own unique glasses.
Seeing as you seem to like a good beer, if you ever visit Europe I would suggest you come visit my hometown of Bruges where due to the narrow medieval streets our brewery De Halve Maan couldn't be reached by trucks. So instead of moving the brewery outside of the city center, we crowdfuned to have a one of a kind 3 km beer pipeline built under the city to move the beer from the brewery to the bottling plant in the suburbs.
They make Straffe Hendrick, which I can highly recommend if you ever run in to it in a store near you. They come in variants from 9 to 11% alcohol, so be careful not to drink too many. 🍻
07:55 that mysterious jingle that plays 50 times throughout the show is ripped off/copied from Darkwoods main theme
Oh interesting!
@@kanpai_ky dont mind me I just like dropping random trivia. Also darkwood is super scary game
3:39 "Incinerate newborns weighing less than 10 ounces" - pup weights less than 10 ounces, Wilzig writes down 10. "Evil vibes!" (They also not German Shepherds.)
So, to recap... He saves the puppy, secretly cares and protects her for years, warns Lucy on multiple occasions that she's not safe out there, even goes as far as to eff himself so she can carry whatever he has in his head easier, and your conclusion is that he's an evil Nazi scientist?
I totally missed the weight was lower than 10 on my initial view! 😮
And I still think the whole operation is meant to elicit evil scientists at work, no? His costume and appearance definitely gives that vibe. He might even be meant to look like Heinrich Himmler to have the viewer feel that way. I get now that Wilzig specifically might not be a bad guy after all … in fact watching more and more episodes makes one question who and what is “good” and who and what is “bad” and what are each character’s motivations along the way etc etc.
I didn’t see him protecting Lucy as benign and selfless as my initial reaction. Vibes aren’t always correct, right? LOL
My initial thoughts of his actions and implant were sus, but my perspective has changed along the way 🙂
The Enclave is a dark and often evil organization
Hi!
This Channel is secondary?
Nice react!
Thank you for watching! ✨
No, not secondary
4:42 I'm starting to reconsider my "I will never ever use my prison wallet" - policy
LOL 😂

Fallout isn't the future. Fallout is an alternate universe.
I mean yes and no … it’s not an alternative reality like how Marvel movies go about it, like the idea of a multiverse. It’s an idea of what the world would like in the future had events gone differently in the past. So not predictive of our current future … in that way I could see it as an alternative future
Whoa, I just saw your rebrand/name on ig and now you popped up here! Love it!
Yay! Thank you 🙏🏻😁🍻✨ the TH-cam journey begins 😅
Great reaction. You blurred to much of the Ghoul Gunslinging...
Aww thanks. The ghoul is pretty epic. Trying to abide by them darn TH-cam policies 🤠
Well. Get to see you, so that will make up for it...😉😁
Music was annoyingly loud, otherwise a great reaction, and I really enjoy the beer review :)
Aww man sorry, I'm really new to this and editing. Will take into consideration for future videos for sure. Thanks!
