Ill check out wfl 3 drums later. i was never interrested in them but maybe soon. but first i need to check out the sound of your drums on my home speakers
Good idea, the audio was recorded by my go pro only btw. Hopefully that's a good judge of how it sounds in person but the best way would be to get a recording of them mic'd up.
@@DavidNesterDrums Probably. The Black beauty is great. I appreciate you taking the time to reply.Myself and a guitarist are putting together a Seether tribute and wish to repliv everything as best as possible. I am a big fan of theirs and doing my research.Best wishes and enjoy the holidays.
@@80thStProductions that’s a good question haha, I didn’t actually ask him. He usually handles his own iPad/app. I use the Tempo app personally and it’s great!
Sick video! I have a few questions: Why have a double bass pedal when you can stick a single pedal on each bass drum? Also noticed the hi-hat stand has the legs up, what is keeping it from moving? Is it the bass drum that's not being used holding up the hi-hat somehow?
@@DeeDeeGeeTX it’s 100% a preference thing, he prefers double pedal but likes the look of two kicks. The hats are connected to kick drum and also the grating underneath, very secure, the legs are folded up to not get in the way.
I don't get it why is he using a double pedal if he has two kick drums why doesn't he just use two single pedals that way he can use both kick drums instead of just using one and having there second one just sit there and not be used I think he should use both kick drums instead of using a double pedal
It's a personal preference thing, I've actually worked and known a few drummers to do the same thing. A double bass pedal does feel very different compared to two single pedals. The two kick drum set up is for the look of the kit and technically can be used as a backup for the main kick. Ray from Korn does the same thing, Jerod from Miss May I, and many others.
Less hassle for the FOH and drum tech as he/she will be worrying about 1 kick drum only, In this case it might be used for looks only which is also cool.
EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great to see you back Dave, kit sounds great!!
Thanks! Those drums were very easy to tune, look forward to working on those again in the future!
I only recently learned about WFLIII drums and man, they sound amazing (during the sound check clip). Monster tone!
I agree, definitely wanna look into them more after working/playing on them last weekend!
Thoroughly enjoyed this! Have only heard of the WFL III. Kicks in particular have a great full sound but keep a lot of attack. Love that finish too
@@TreyBDrums me too!! The whole kit sounded good!
i was there !!!!!!!! i live like an hour from quebec city
great video
@@promasterp very cool, hope you enjoyed the show!
Nice Kit 😎
It is indeed!
Nice man. Saw you when you played with AFL. Saw Seether with Staind in April
@@dprentice22 very cool man! When I’m not playing with Aaron or my band ENMY, I’m usually drum teching for a bunch of bands lol. Trying to keep busy!
No matter what kind of kit, it always comes back to the Ludwig Black Beauty! Just get a full set of Ludwigs baby!
@@augustdrums1247 haha right?! Not wrong lol. I have a DW nickel over brass 14x8, I would say that one is comparable too!
@@DavidNesterDrums I just got a hammered supraphonic what a gorgeous drum!

Great drums. You play well. He was not using his signature snare. Maybe it was not available yet. Black Beauties are great of course.
@@keithpratt1849 I’m honestly not sure, he didn’t mention the signature one, must’ve been in production.

A lot of big band drummers play with a double pedal and two kick drums more for the image of it. I’ve seen it many times.
