When they figure it out it will be a day to remember. Why does watching someone else, set up someone else’s drums make gig day so cool? You are a hoot Matt! Love this guys cymbal choices.
S2F crew since day one and haven't gotten bored or disinterested once that whole time! Keep doing what you're doing Matt you're awesome and your video's are the highlight of my day whenever you upload! Lots of love from the Netherlands
My girlfriend was laughing at me because I play drums on a nightly basis - load gear, sound check, play the show, load out - and this is what I come home to watch and decompress lol
We all love gear I’m a drummer for 30 years had to work at it but Jesus I can do tech and gear and sound I love our boys videos takes me away from day job, which ain’t bad.
Man, they treat you so well and the band dumps streamer, confetti and TP all over the venue 😂I managed a theatre for a while and all I can see is "God, I gotta clean all that up..." When I toured we never hit anyplace so nice!
S2F!!! And TOTALLY worth it! What a blast. And really, they don't have to go to such lengths to keep crew happy but they do. One of the best so far Matt! Thanks for taking us along once again.
I’ve worked some beautiful places from the mountains of Colorado to hills of NC and spots in between. But nothing that had an arcade, a miniature golf, and a pool, although we did go wading in the cold ass water in Telluride. Looks like a very nice place. And as someone who started in the business cleaning up after shows to get a chance at a spot working local crew, I feel for those poor folks cleaning up the mess. I will say this though, I remember working Merlefest a few years in the early 2000’s and the patrons cleaned on their way out. All the cleanup crew had to do was pickup and empty the trash cans. Blew my mind. Them bluegrass fans had a lot of old hippies. As for catering, I’ve never seen anything like this for rock and roll. I did a couple events for a very famous black female daytime TV star who makes everyone sign an NDA from Hell that catered like this but that’s the list. Lobsters?🦞 I guess that makes up for the meals where you’d rather take a $20 dollar buy out and send the runner for burgers or hot dogs.
YEEESSSS!!! My favorite band at my home venue, and now my fav drum tech made a kick ass video showing bts. Talk about a music nerd's dream come true!! Thanks again for sharing bro!! I'm so glad you enjoyed our neighborhood and hospitality! You guys put on a killer show the other night, so thank you for being so good at what you do!!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Apparently Massachusetts in Mansfield at the Xfinity Center has the same. They have a whole like area somewhere with a cookout and it looks amazing from the pictures in one area
First time watching your content and first time joining the S2F crew! As a fellow drummer, thank you for this content! I LOVE seeing all the tech work and behind the scenes stuff that goes into a big show like this! Thank you for all you do! You have another fan!
I absolutely love these vids. It's so fun watching competent people doing their jobs and having fun meanwhile. Venue looks awesome and I can't wait for the next one with ADTR!
o7 Josh. Take care of that back! One that starts to go and get hurt it will really mess you up in the long run. Never apologize for being too quiet, sometimes the ambiance of everything going on is good enough. That catering setup looks like absolute fire. S2FC Lets go.
I rarely get jealous, but also being a drum tech and seeing this stuff just makes me want to be out there 24/7 haha. Well done Matt on another great video. Easily one of my favourite channels on YT!
Being in the front was a very cool experience with my boy and seeing ADTR for the first time was even cooler…seeing from your perspective was very cool!! We in NH have it lucky with the Pavilion and with speaking with the guys from FATN, the backstage is killer!! Thanks for sharing!!!
S2F crew in the house! 🤘 Confetti drop at the top of the set is a pretty baller move. Thanks for another chill video, Matt. Hope you're feeling better soon. Lookin' forward to the next one.
I'm so glad to see you've worked Gilford! It was awesome to see the backstage action. I live in VT, so it's my go-to for shows the venue is unlike anything else in the Northeast. Wish I was going this year, but scalping has gotten crazy on some of the shows I wanted to go to... $1200 for Chris Stapleton this year is nuts. Keep on rockin'! Love the content!
S2FC incredible venue. I was really expecting some mini golf. The bike ride through the theater was epic. Hopefully your back is feeling better. Awesome video as usual.
Yes I did and what a nice shed venue. Reminds me of being a local hand at our shed venue here in Concord, Ca. Very nice attention to detail in your load-in... perhaps a small leaf blower that could fit in a box to help remove that backlined drum tarp. Cheers, PS, standing in the wings listening to nothing but drums reminds me of a Rush show I worked 20 years ago. That smores looked nuclear 😅
Love that that place makes it like a resort for the touring artist and crew. I can see why you love it - I've never seen anything like it (I was always happy if the venue even had a deli platter out for us ;)
@matthorndrums I used to work there!! I was a runner backstage for a bunch of years (I’m a full time middle school music teacher so that was my summer gig for a while). SUPER fun place to work and I got to meet a bunch of cool people from various tours too.
Great videos man, subbed. I check my cymbals for cracks by running my thumbnail around the outside edge of the cymbal to see if it catches on a nick, which is usually the start of a crack. Great work mate, proper pro!! 👍
Dude first of all I love all of your videos and always enjoy them but THIS VIDEO....? Damn this is easily the "FUNNEST" Video and I was smiling like a kid the whole time watching this. That venue just seems like a high spirit fun happy positive place for everyone working hard to guys behind the scenes like yourselves and to the bands and anyone with business there. They obviously know how to take care of a crew. Thumbs Up Brother Bear and shared! A+++++
Back min the day, that place was my home venue. I covered a lot of local production there when I wasn't on tour. It was always a chill experience and the owners are great people.
Hey! In Bloom was on the radio the other day and I thought of Matt Horn😂 after was Wicked Garden and I thought that’d be another good soundcheck song perhaps!
Gilford has always been my favorite place to play. Amazing Staff, Tons of shit too do if you’re there for more than a day, and the only venue in the US that serves LOBSTER for catering.
I see this now, being a studio musician is the way to go. Big respect for the engineering roadies. Seems like back in the old days... put out an album, tour 50 weeks, year after year, decade after decade. Amazing, tiring life. I believe Cheap Trick has them all beat.
Keep the videos coming!!! Every time i watch one I discover new wonderful toys to fantasize about. A drum stool with a built in monitor??? wtf. I dont get it, but i kinda like it.
I love watching all your videos, you give such an awesome insight of what it looks like & what happens before a show of a big touring band. I wish & hope that the day would come where I get to hire a drum tech as good as you, you are so friggen professional. YOU ROCK 🤘😝🤘
STF crew checking in and that’s my local venue!! Glad you enjoyed it - it’s such a great place for shows. Thanks for the videos - love seeing all the footage!
Yea I remember when I got my very own set of 5 piece ziljan and paste Rodgers gold flake. My cousin husband plays drums and he gave me his set from when he started I was 11 yrs old. He shown me how to clean my symbols using polly brite as it set on symbols it drys to like hard paste and as you wipe them down in circular motion with lines it made them so clean and Brite. Took all dull look to the way they were brand new.
I went backstage to see Shinedown there with proper roach and Spiritbox and that caring was good. I swam I played basketball. I did whatever I could do and I got onto drum set before the show started.
I got the chance to be a stagehand on the 2019 tour when ADTR came thru SAN ANTONIO...def had fun throwing that 50+ rolls of TP ! I can truly say it was A DAY TO REMEMBER!! And they rocked the show, not even my genre of music but "IF IT MEANS ALOT TO YOU" is a banger!
Love the way Alex from the band ( the drummer from ADTR who Matt techs for) is hanging out with all the techs at the end of the night around the fire:)
Dude. I've been using DW cymbal stands for like 10 years, and I realized a few weeks ago that you don't have to twist the wingnuts on. If you squeeze the little trigger thing on the side of the wingnut, you can just slide the wingnut onto the stand and it locks in place. Definitely saves me a lot of wrist pain!
The mother of all catering. Gilford New Hampshire. PLEASE rimshot that like button one time for your boy! Let's get 5k likes! What do ya say???
I live an hour and a half away….love seeing Gilford on here!! 🔥🔥 S2FC
I Like It Bro
He's just a little guy!
not gonna lie, i miss luke's dw :D
STFC It's a good day when a new video pops up
Alternate title: Matt gets to go to summer camp and occasionally gets distracted by drum tech work.
Let’s all appreciate the hard work that goes into making these videos!

Thank you for the amazing videos, man! From a fan in North Wales, UK!
Dude Thankyou so much man! Much appreciated 🤝🏼

😂 same here.
You have a girlfriend? Guess their might be a little bit of hope for all us us after all
We all love gear I’m a drummer for 30 years had to work at it but Jesus I can do tech and gear and sound I love our boys videos takes me away from day job, which ain’t bad.
Same to me 😂 im a audio engineer but the filling is the same :,v
Hahahaha cant blame her man..

There IS something very satisfying about the sound of well built, quality gear being assembled.. Irrespective of its purpose.

S2FC! Wow, what a venue! They not only passed the vibe check, but should set the standard for all future vibes.

S2FC incredible venue. I was really expecting some mini golf. The bike ride through the theater was epic. Hopefully your back is feeling better. Awesome video as usual.
As I've seen a few concerts there.. I would agree its a great venue!
It feels so good to not have to skip the part where the band plays their music for now.
Damn they sounded good out of the crate!! Well done my man. 🤙🥁

That place is amazing
STF crew checking in and that’s my local venue!! Glad you enjoyed it - it’s such a great place for shows. Thanks for the videos - love seeing all the footage!

Ahh this vlog made me hungry😂love your videos, i always make to the end of course
Hi Matt, thanks for the bike tour. It's look like a cool place out there. I like your video, verry fun to see.
STF crew checking in! Also hearing some Steely Dan playing as you get lunch, always a good time!!
I got the chance to be a stagehand on the 2019 tour when ADTR came thru SAN ANTONIO...def had fun throwing that 50+ rolls of TP !

You should try using the blanket method of packing the hardware/stands as to not scratch or dent the chrome on them.
i'm actually jealous of this music venue
S2F, Ride or die. The Pee Wee Herman reference on the bike was brilliant. We’ll wait impatiently for the next video.
start to finish from the UK ..what an incredible place to play a gig
Saw them last week in Las Colinas, TX, such a awesome show
Matt da cymbal Goat!
Love the way Alex from the band ( the drummer from ADTR who Matt techs for) is hanging out with all the techs at the end of the night around the fire:)
wow that is like the greatest venue I've ever seen
