Wow. You do really nice work! Followed this link from Endless Sphere. Cant wait to catch up on the other vids. Really appreciate you explaining your design process and methods. One trick I have been using lately is making templates like your foam board out of clear polycarbonate. You can saw it to rough shape relatively easily. You can also see right through it to mark your hole locations and mounting points for internal features. It kinda gives you access to the Z axis while locating 2D features. Once you drill the poly its dimensionally stable enough to use as a template for transfer punching or measuring. Anyway, excellent content all around!
