Thanks for watching~ Sootch00
This is the first time I've seen one of these and I'm very impressed. This looks like a well thought out bit of kit. Thanks a lot for the video Sootch.
What an innovative design. Very cool duffle.
Wow. sootch! What a great job on this video review! You are very thorough and knowledgeable on the products you are reviewing. I've seen other videos of yours, and have always been equally impressed! Keep up the good work!
Real quality, hard-use bag. Thanks sootch!
Sootch! Great review. Love the Fliegerduffle and all Maxpedition packs! Your reviews and channel get better and better. Thanks for what you do and best wishes.
Oh great, another Maxpedition bag I will NEED to own. Great review Sootch, as always.
awesome bag! totally want one!
Excellent review! Wish I had watched this before I bought the Zafar, last month. It's a great bag, but I've already outgrown it. Now I'm looking into the FLIEGERDUFFEL™ ADVENTURE BAG to replace it as my BOB. This is the perfect bag to keep in the trunk. Sits flat, can be fully opened and I can add all kinds of attachments! Plus if I have to abandon ship, it has backpack straps! My only complaint, as I've spent well over $100 bucks on a hydration system, is the available storage for it. But I think I can make it work. Thanks for the review Sootch!
great report.
Nice...love yer reviews Sootch..I'll be looking into this for an upcoming trip out of the country...well done!
Again...Great job. Cheers.
Pretty cool bag!
Great review...
Wasn't sold until I saw the double shoulder/backpack straps. Then you had me.
thanks for this vid sootch!
Great review pal! My dad travels a bit repairing building churches with his group, and he would love this bag. I'm trying to figure out a good application for myself. lol. I don't travel at all really. But it is another excellent Maxpedition product, and another great review! Thanks so much partner. ~Wolf
I have this duffel and it rocks I took it to Washington DC and Des Moines and Salt Lake. The back pack straps rock, I was cruising past all the roller bag people. My only suggestion is that they add an outside zipper to the two pockets on the top of the bag so you can access those pockets from the outside without opening up the big flap. It would make it easier to remove your liquids when going through security. I love the bag though 5 stars for sure.
love the shirt
to me maxpedition is just straight up quality, it may not be the cheapest out there but you defiantly get what you pay for!
At my age a body cavity search sounds rather pleasant and possible rewarding...
Great video!!!! Love your channel and think you do a great job. This Bag is SWEET!!!!! I think im going to go buy it. You did a great job on this specific vid :)
Great review, certainly thinking its a great carry on option for non business travels for myself.
ah man, this is such a sweet bag!
Just purchased the larger version (Doppel Duffel). As for as Im aware, the shoulder strap no longer comes with the swivel ends. They've also introduced a new color; Brown.
@AppalachianFreedom -- Excellent review sir! -- We are traveling right now and Maxpedition makes it so much easier!
Nice bag! Great Vehicle bag if you're traveling, and for carrying in / out of hotels - since it's hands free. Deffinately not a hiking bag, they have much better choices for that.
9/10
im off to the gym, have to get the bags ready, my leaving the house bag, my in the car bag, going to the gym bag, getting home bag and on the way home stopping off for a bag of chips.........lol
SOOTCH YOU ALWAYS BREAK OUT THE WATER LOL
Just cover it with a HelloKitty or Spongebob blanket, or in the wheel well of your BugOutVehicle TSS. Actually, in basic black Max bags look like most other cheap bags, until someone who knows better gets close...
Looks perfect for survival gear plus a Springfield Armory M6 Scout or a Henry Arms AR-7 Survival Rifle
Great review, love all well built quality items - including my wife ;)
Great Job Sootch. I had one for my first trip to Afghanistan until someone offered me more than I paid for it to have it themselves. LOL. Great bag.
Hey Sootch, you could do a review on tooth brushes and it would be interesting to watch. Keep up the good work brother.
Excellent review, as usual Sootch! This is better than the Maxpedition channel advertising video. You've shown this and the MPB, and now I know which to choose.
FYI: Fliegerduffel = Literal translation "Duffel (bag) for Flyer(s)" Pronounced 'flee-ger'.
Damn, Sootch I'm starting to think you are in cahoots with my credit card company! Great bag, I just got back from a weekend flight trip with the wife and we stuffed all of our stuff in a backpack.......it sucked.
This bag would've come in very handy. Thanks for another great review.
Maybe you can set it up as a BOB in another vid.
I like it! I wanna get one...
good advice there at the end lol, great vid as always i wouldnt have considered this bag to be a b.o.b normally.
Great review. Love the bag. It's just a bit lae
Great review Sootch! Ordered one plus a wallet but they didn't honor the 10% off with your name. Anyway...looks like a great product and can't wait to receive it! Thank for the review!
Tony
you could probably also hook the strap up to opposite corners and carry it like a gearslinger
...LOL
I bought that exact bag last month.
It's a very nice bag.
Good review!
How is the back holding up till today do you still have it any issues with it such as rips or tears any issues?
@@pleasebekindtwnty4sven It is holding up excellent and as a matter of fact I have bought another one since then or a gift for my brother.
i have the bigger brother bag, I love it
will you later compare this to the new ironstorm bag? and could you fit a large plate carrier in this bag? I play airsoft and I'm looking for a bag that I can put my plate carrier in along with my other wearable items like my helmet belts and maybe my pistols and some smg type airsoft guns
I ordered one. It does not come with the external swivel strap you described. It comes with strap, but not like you describe.
I was one a 30ish day work trip and bought a brand new set of "Jeep" brand luggage from Wal-mart (best deal for my money, I thought). 4 days into the trip my main case just ripped on me, about 4 states away from home. I learned that lesson the hard way.
When the shoulder strap is removed and it's being used as a backpack, is it possible to attach the should strap to the bottom of the pack and use it as a sort of pseudo-waist strap?
Thanks sootch, you're the man! I Appreciate what you do!
What's the name brand got to do with your concerns? You can make the same assumptions about a briefcase, purse, backpack, duffel or suitcase. People don't carry them places unless they've something important inside. They're stored out of sight otherwise.
Plus, the retail price on their website is less than $200. Such a quality bag is well worth the price.
Buy a cheap bag if you want but that doesn't prevent you from being robbed when it's left unattended in a public place or inside your car.
Every Maxpedition is a good travel bag. Some are even great for that purpose.
"Dopple" means "double" in German. If you're carrying a lot of gear, like football pads, hockey sticks, or a half-dozen basketballs, it's probably big enough.
For the gym though, where you're away from the bags for long duration, it's probably better that you get a cheap bag that would not be missed if it grew legs & walked away (was stolen).
Surplus military duffels are rugged enough for most sports, and inexpensive
LOOOOOOOVVVVEEEEEEE the bag!!!!! I am Ordering one now!! lol
What would you recommend to have in a basic survival kit, wich you can bring with when you are traveling in the mountain, forest etc. or when you are hunting?
@sootch00 :) Save the idea for the 410's when you hit the number 410 Bro. . Nice vid Sootch!
@AussieMark909 maxpedition gear is usually well thought out. Love the Falcon and the Vulture packs.
Bought this bag after watching this video. 'Nuff said!
Larger than i need. Something like the Baron but more than just a shell.
Mesh compartments? Is that where you keep your crystal mesh?
Elenins acomin bowse! I love your channel
Looking for a good , durable , heavy duty zipper back pack to keep as my loaded down B.O.B. Any suggestions on brand , size and place to buy?
i was showing ur vids to a mate of mine, and he said sootch must have a bag for everything, must be tripping over the things, if he's ever in a rust it must take an age to deside on a bag and what would happen if he reached for his wives bag and goes to pull out a flash light and it turns out to be a tube of lipstick......he (my mate) was only pulling ur leg abit. he's turning into a big fan of yours ...lol
Maxpedition ? is that a new brand for Sootch.... wait for it ...... I don't think so :)
sootch what do you think of the .308 as a long range round sry tis question is off topic great vid
Anyone know which would work better as a travel bag & and or gym bag? Would the dopple be too big? Please let me know.
Hey I saw that at Walmart for $9.99. They called it the Herman Cain bag. :) S
Just ordered my bag on eBay for $142 plus free shipping. Excited about the carry on option but can't carry my SOG auto with the carry on! What do you do as far as carrying a blade while you travel ?
Did you ever see the movie RED 2?
Actor John Mokavich used one.
Hmmm. $158.99 was expensive in 2011 and still is expensive for this bag. My only issue is now it is listed as $195.99. I just don't think costs on this item (labor and materials) have gone up approximately 19%. Are they increasing the price of the item to adjust for the Sootch00 discount? I was pretty excited about getting this bag, but now not so much. It's not that I can't afford it, I just don't feel like I'm being taken advantage of...
What a cool bag!!! So many options with this one,........at first glance it looks smaller than it actually is but seeing it on you, it would make a good all-rounder i think. Thanks for sharing fella. {~_~}
are the d-rings metal?
I think this may be better than the b.o.b. Brand bags, although I think there great too.
Not sure if anyone has pointed this out, I didn't take the time to read all of the comments, my apologies if it has; Amazon.com has this bag for sale for $121.22 with free shipping for the black or khaki. Other colors are slightly higher.
@dexterlexter123 It's a fine round up to about 1200-1400 yards.
Nice "aviator" bag. ;-) How many bags do you need? I already have too many, and I can only carry so much. It's difficult to stay up-to-date without getting rid of the things you already have.
do you know if they still carry this i look on their website and could not find it
I would change the d rings for metal or staiinless d-rings!!! maybe the hooks to!?!?!?!!?
sootch please can you ask maxpedition if they could send me loads of stuff so i can make adverts too?
Non-metal D-rings is a deal breaker for me. I've had enough D-rings break on me. They seem more susceptible and brittle especially under freezing temperatures. Add metal D-rings and make it 1000d and it'll be bombproof.
Make that...I just don't want to feel like I'm being taken advantage of...
Apologies if this was addressed below. I placed an order online. Use "Sootch" for coupon code. "Sootch00" did not work for the 10% off. Thanks!
Looks like it would make a great
OLCMCHwaNGaiHPtEBYB (Old Lady Caught Me Coming Home with a New Gun and i Havent Paid the Electric Bill Yet bag)!
lol "Flieger" in German means pilot/plane :)
Hey sootch y u show these kind of stuf i can't buy these but can't stop watching my self from these vdo's................:(
it is 'flee-ger' not fly-ger. flieger is German for flyer btw. Great vid as always
Where the hell do you live? Mogadishu?
actually i just found it right after i posted this lol my bad
oh, u know that mate i was talking about, well its actuary me. i don't have any friends......ha ha
@lordofgraphite untill now
Plus I just saved 15% on my car insurance lol
what color is this?
Aaron Trinh khaki
Please don't take this as I'm ragging on Sootch00, because I'm not. I'm just trying to decide if some of these manufacturers are pricing things based on their success... I'm all for making a profit, but gouging is totally uncool.
Gee, its a Maxpedition. Let me guess, $400 for one of these. The problem with this label is that other people assume that you are packing heat or have a shitload of expensive gear that is worth stealing. It's like a blinking stobe light that you have more money than sense. Whould I like on of these? Hell yes. However, I would not leave it in the car, walk around town or leave it outside. If I wasn't actually using it, I would leave it at home so I didn't attract attention to it.
you have 357 vvids...357....357! You shuda shown a 357. tsk tsk
Pronounced "FLEE-GER-DUFFLE" :)
Pronounced "Flee-ger," German for flyer.
The only problem I see with this bag -- It's possibly worth more than the stuff I'll put in it if I'm traveling. Thieves won't care what's in it, they'll be like, "whoa, that's a cool friggin' bag!" Carry-on only I guess, keep it by my side.
