- The name „Multi Purpose Bag" is true for almost all Maxpedition bags because of their versatile design. The Maxpedition MPB in particular really lives up to its name. You can use it as a hand luggage bag, computer bag, gym bag, bug-out bag, range bag, office bag, everyday briefcase, camera bag, overnight bag or weekend bag -- there are endless possibilities of how to use it.

Great review. One minor concern with the bag is the attachment buckles of the shoulder strap. I've had several different shoulder bags before and this is a critical load bearing point that is often overlooked. They look plastic on this bag. I'm not convinced they are robust enough.

Looks like Old Saint Nick was kind this year. Getting free gear is alway cool! I've eyed that bag for a long time. I think it would make a great travil bag for the car. Wishing you a Merry Christmas... or what ever you call it Germany.

Die Tasche gefällt mit recht gut (ich liebe die 1000fachen Verstaumöglichkeiten)...persönlich stehe ich aber mehr auf "rundere" Taschen....in Form und Optik!
Bei mir steht die Fatboy oder die Jumbo auf'm Wunschzettel.....ich kann mich einfach nur nicht entscheiden!

I think the original purpose of the divider panel with a loop field is to mount your holster for your weapon.

My bag looks very similar but no divider in the main compartment and a few other variations. Do you have any photos or info on other versions of this bag? I would be highly interested if so. I hope you’re still around, in any case.

Anyone who knows me and has read my profile knows I’m not prone to leaving un-positive comments but I have a problem with this bag. Since it’s design doesn’t really allow for comfortable traveling or wilderness purposes I don’t find it realistic inclining that it will and as an urban EDC one has to ask why go with a Max when you can simply go with a proper business suitcase or a business bag that has the same features but doesn’t have the rugged, military look that doesn’t quite match a suit.
@stschmalhaus The number of backpacks, bags, pouches, BOB's, etc, that I own is about to exceed the number of purses my wife has. So, now that I have to buy the MPB (thanks a lot lol!), it just means I'll have to shell out for a matching purse for her. I guess I can live with it.

Please be aware. Despite the Maxpedition websites data stating "
Overall size: 22"(L) x 12"(W) x 14"(H) Meets FAA Carry-On Bag Size Requirement. "The bag exceeds the carry-on limits of most airlines including United and American effective March 2015 of 22"x14"x9".Don't learn this the hard way....
@stephan123321 Vielen Dank für Deine guten Wünsche! Nimm den "Jumbo", der "Fatboy" wird Dir wahrscheinlich sehr schnell zu klein werden. So ist es mir jedenfalls gegangen. Außerdem will ich den Flaschenhalter nicht mehr missen.

Excellent review for a great edc bag. However, all is not perfect. The stitching on edges of velcro patches to hold the carry handles comes off after some time( like 6months). Thus losing its utility. Also the stitching of the shoulder strap joint with the opposite sides of the bag also gets undone with daily use. Zippers are superb and so is the fabric. Personally, I would say buy another brand for such a high priced bag.
@nikiakasmith I referred to my girlfriend's old Toshiba laptop.
Last thing you want is a bag without wheels. You have to drag your bag on your shoulder throughout the airport. You will be sore.
